I refinanced my house with Neighbors Bank and had a fantastic experience. Every step was clearly explained, the overall process worked through a very simple file upload interface, and anytime something needed to be done I was supplied with clear instructions upfront. Whenever I had questions, they were immediately addressed. This is an fairly uncommonly high quality level of service. Once my file was cleared to close, I closed two days later. All other closings I have participated in took at least three weeks between the final steps and the actual closing. Even more important to me, Neighbors Bank is not selling my loan to someone else I have never met. If I have trouble, I can contact the people I have already worked with in the bank I have created a relationship with. 5/5 Definitely recommend.

Awesome bank!! Super great first time home buying experience. Definitely ask about their network of real estate agents, they’re awesome and responsive. Debi Edge was super patient and responded to all of our first time home buying questions quickly and thoroughly. Even when we were closing during the Christmas holiday and she was out of the office she always made sure we were immediately taken care of.

This place is a disaster. I have never dealt with as much nonsense as I have with this bank. With the three departments I dealt with, no one acted knowledgeable at their job. It took four months for us to close on a house because they would forget to fill out a document or forget to send it through underwriting. In addition, after we closed on the house, we received a email stating our loan was being rejected due to false information with the appraisal. That was all information they have read and approved days prior to closing. I would never use neighbors bank again unless I want to be lied to and cheated out of money.

Highly recommend. I had submitted inquiries to multiple banks and Neighbors Bank was the only one to take my personal life demands into account. I work nights so am only available at certain times of the day. Every other bank only would contact me while I was asleep and blew my phone up. The loan officer with Neighbors Bank contacted me via email or text, which is the way I said was the best to contact me.

As a first time buyer, with my husband, this was just sad, and a very insensitive situation. I wish they could take time to explain things to us, and help us, instead of just basically saying there’s nothing else we could do to obtain a loan. Even though other lenders took time to guide, and assists us further. We just felt unappreciated as customers. But then again, I know other customers were lucky enough to experience a good journey with Neighbors Banks. Must be nice.

I called multiple times & emailed multiple times to check on the status of my application & she never responded 1 time!!! 1 month later I get an automated message saying my file was closed cause it was missing information. By far, worst experience with a lender & an individual representing the company.

Neighbors Bank is the best bank if you are looking for a home loan! I’ve heard horror stories about buying a house, and read some of the horrible reviews people have left for Neighbors Bank. But my experience was GREAT. Literally the smoothest closing process, there was no issues the entire time m. My loan officer Andrea was great! She communicated through text and email the whole time. Also the pipeline coordinator Lindsey was very helpful and great the whole process. She kept me updated throughout it all. I am very thankful and glad I chose Neighbors Bank. About a year ago we were in the process of buying a home that did not happen. We were using a local mortgage company and it was a nightmare. We chose to find a firm based on reviews, not location or "who you know". Best decision ever!! There is not one thing I can say negative towards Neighbors Bank. Neighbors Bank went above and beyond to get the loan that was best for us. Even with the difficult circumstances and challenges we faced, this was the first loan company that we ever came across, who fought tooth and nail to get us what we needed. We had God AWFUL experiences with 2 previous loan companies, claiming that my husband and I were not legible for USDA and that our only option was a FHA with 10% down. I knew something wasn't right so I thought I’d seek out another loan company just to make sure. I contacted Neighbors Bank, spoke to a loan specialist. Within 24 hours we were pre approved for a USDA loan. I am SO thankful we found Neighbors Bank. Jamie & Melissa were absolutely phenomenal to work with. Also, our Pipeline Coordinator, Heather, was absolutely incredible with how persistent and dedicated she was to getting things done. Would give 10 stars if I could. Just finished purchasing my first home with Neighbors Bank and I couldn't be more thrilled with my experience. Neighbors Bank was the first bank that took my individual situation, broke it down and offered me a real path towards purchasing my home. They were knowledgable, friendly and they were the first bank that WANTED TO HELP ME get to closing. So many banks just wanted to run my credit and numbers... but Neighbor's Bank took it to the next level and wanted to understand the person behind the numbers and how they could put me in the best situation for me and my family. The cherry on top of it all was they offered me FAR AND AWAY the highest pre-approval amount and the most competitive interest rates. If you are looking to purchase a home you need to use Neighbor's Bank - and if you want an incredible agent be sure to ask for Rachael Plaggenberg as she was incredible throughout the entire process.

My loan officer, Rachael Plaggenberg, was AMAZING. She was personable, delightful to talk to every time, intelligent, knowledgeable, prompt in her responses, and invested in me and my new home. She made me feel comfortable during my entire process, from looking for a home (which took quite a while) to the day I closed. She bent over backward for me to make things work within a short time frame. I doubt I'd have been able to make it through such a stressful process without someone who cared so much. I also had the pleasure of working with Jami Clevenger and Liz Keith; together, these three ladies made an incredible team, and I couldn't have asked for a better crew. I wish every company worked as hard as these ladies.

Worst experience working with these people I had Jeff wiese as an loan officer and Shelby Williams as the underwriter who kept giving me a hard time I had to stop talking to them and let my realtor do it due to their unprofessionalism they were always asking for more unnecessary documents after I would give them everything on the list that was required and I ended up not doing anything with them thank God and then they tried to lower my loan but I hadn’t told them that I had gotten a better raise at work because I did not want to continue to work with them so beware!

I can personally say that it was quite eventful dealing with Neighbors Bank. The process started out great, but after 2 long months and extensions, they denied my application out of nowhere for a reason that isnt even a legitimate reason. I dealt with Isaac and do NOT recommend unless you want to waste your time. I am an experienced investor and still got denied. Watch out.

Neighbors Bank was hands down the best lender I could have chosen! Every step of the process was smooth as butter. My loan officer, Justin Baden, was so easy to get ahold of when I had questions, and the online platform for getting needed documents to each other was simple and intuitive. I couldn't believe how easy and stress-free the loan process was. I really couldn't recommend Justin as an LO enough. He thoroughly answered all of my questions and walked me through my options along the way. He even worked on weekends for me when I needed some quick numbers crunched. It has been over two weeks since I submitted my documents and I have heard absolutely nothing from David, the Loan Officer I was assigned. I have called the customer support line several times and the representative I spoke with said he was in office, just not answering. I also emailed him. No response. Erich was fantastic to work with, as he answered all of my initial questions (i'm a first time homebuyer) before handing me off to David after my documents were submitted. At this point my time has been wasted.

Rachel Plaggenberg and her team are awesome. They were quick to help me (and I wasn't buying a house where commission would even pay their bills for a month). They were super easy to get in touch with inside and outside of business hours and were exceedingly patient with the mountains of questions as a first time homebuyer. They went over every option and the ins and outs. We talked about every option from conventional to FHA and USDA what the benefits and the expense of each would be. If I ever buy another house I will plan to start my loan process with her or at the very least with Neighbors. I've recommenced them (even though we don't even share the same time zone!) to anyone I know trying to finance a home purchase.

Most often, despite my attempt to text, she would call me back so she could explain in detail. Jami and Addie were also very helpful and informative during the loan process.
