The store is good, but the employees aren’t good at all. I waited there for 20 minutes and asked three different people for help and they all say one second and never come back. I have been to other national pawns and this one isn’t the same level of professionalism.

I love pawn shops for the great merchandise and great prices. The fact that many, like the National Pawn and Jewelry group of shops in our area, have excellent customer service and store management skills. This is my favorite of the National Pawn-named shops, but live a bit too far from them to just pop in. I really love the small sister store on Durham-Chapel Hill Blvd in Durham; it's called "Friendly Pawn" and it certainly is. I write rave reviews about them because they are special! Today's review is about the exemplary customer service provided by this National Pawn on Roxboro Street as they helped my "regular" pawn shop find a laptop for me! The team there was so responsive and helpful to talk through the specs on every laptop they suddenly had in stock. It's just too far for me to pop over in the middle of a work day, so I really appreciated the "virtual" experience! Ultimately, I didn't buy a laptop there, but the shopping experience was great just the same. I'm sure to stop by to see them sometime just to admire all that bling they sell. Their showroom is visually appealing, sparkly, clean, and pleasant. If you're looking for beautiful jewelry, good quality modern electronics, small appliances... all at good prices, I recommend you go to visit them for a nice shopping experience.

I visited this location today and I have never been so embarrassed in my life. I overheard one of the employees on the phone with I'm guessing was a customer asking questions about their account. The employee was a black woman who was very large. She had a name tag on that said Grey but I'm sure that isnt her name. She basically was talking dirty to the customer on the phone. I was so uncomfortable listening to her talk! This is so unprofessional!!!

Good customer service, but pricing seems to be low compare to other similar shops. I was there 2 months ago, sold an item for $29.50. Found out later another pawn shop would have pay for at least $50 - not sure if it is true.

I had another account manager at one point however she was completely incompetent, she didn’t tell me any of the details on the layaway and when my account was about to be over due she didn’t even bother to let me know. I've never had an issue with this location until today. I've been a long time customer of this particular location even when I lived in Raleigh but after today I'm threw with them. I've purchased and sold many items and today I went to sell a VR. Today (all of a sudden) I'm REQUIRED to bring my own PS4 so they can test it out. I've NEVER been asked to bring my own system to test another one item I'm selling EVER. Then the gentleman said well when we sell them, customers have to test them. So do they need to bring their on ps4 to test them when purchasing?? When I purchased my first one I was NEVER given an option to test it instead told about the protection/return policy IF it didn't work. They apparent don't have ps4s in stock (although on display) to use and test themselves (as this is what they've done in the past). The customer service is really laxed at this location now and I won't go back anymore. But thanks for the many years of good service.

My experience their was horribly...... We stood in line 20minutes while one employer having a personal conversation and the other stretch wrap a 20 inches TV. so when the other employee which is a Hispanic older guy with the national pawn face mask can out from the back ,eating peanut and then after eat process to touch our merchandise with sanitizer ING his hand. VERRRRRRY short talking and talk to us as if we were not customer. Asking question short with answer. Went to PICASSO IN VILLAGE. We walk in greet with smiles and Hello . First time I have ever pawned anything. I didn't want to do it, but I had to. After waiting in line for what seemed like a full day, I was greeted by someone who clearly enjoyed working there. This was a blessing, because the last thing I needed was a bad attitude. He walked me through the process as if I knew nothing about it (I didn't). They gave me more than I asked for on the loan, and valued my item just as much as I did. That was the best part. He truly made me feel like it was going to taken care of as I would have done it. When I returned next payday to retrieve my item, the process went as smooth as you can possibly imagine. My item required addition paperwork, but the staff helping me knew the paperwork very well and I was in and out quickly. I will do business with them again, and I suggest you check them out. They took what started as an unpleasant experience and turned it into something that I will definitely do again if needed.

Lincoln is by far the best employee at any pawn shop I have ever dealt with. I had some issues at first with a gun I was trying to buy and he made time for me and made sure I left the store happy. Worst place ever!! Wasted my drive & time coming there to bring something in superb condition that they said twice they take & I get there & they said they don't take it! Customer Service is not good went in to buy a particular product and the Older gentleman on the sales floor was not friendly that ask if I needed help, his attitude was as if I was bothering him. If you ask if price can be lowered on an item he acts as though you don't have money. If I am spending my money I would like to be appreciated as a customer. This location is so very different from the location on guess road even the managers there are friendly. If you want good customer service I suggest you take your business to the guess road location. The gentleman (Ben-don't know if he is manager or not but he is a very good helpful person. He also has a good demeanor. He is one of the people I would pawn to or buy from any day of the week. I would ask for him and no one else). Prices are too high for a pawnshop its not best buy. If you want new product item prices its better to buy new. $20 lower than new price is not a deal especially when item has been pawn for less.

I still wasn’t sure if I should get the phone but My daughter has made the honor roll all year. And has never given me a problem. But I was still not sure. I’m a old school parent and I have strong views on A 9th grader walking around with a 600.00 phone. But Ms. Delma said that she has a daughter the same age and they both have IPhones. There was a small glitch in finding my husband's account, which was not a big deal at all. Katrina went out of her way to find my husband's loan, with a smile and she was very friendly/proactive. Kimmel was also friendly, but I did not care for how he literally grabbed my phone, pulled your business up on Google, clicked on the 5 star portion and asked me to write kind words about him as he handed my phone back. That was really pushy. In the future, maybe just let your customers know you would appreciate a review, if they would like to do so. 5 stars for Katrina, 3 for Kimmel, gives this visit a 4 star average.

Horrible Customer service!!!! pawned 500 lbs of weights and the Young Mixed girl that closed was very confrontational and trying her best to give me nothing.! Also her manager a white guy wasn’t even teaching her good customer service both very rude June 2nd 2022 at 6:15 pm…. We Will never visit another National Pawn.! They treat you horribly and try to give you 2$ if they could…. So the closers were a White manager Young Guy and Mixed Latino very rude and bad customer service.!!!!!

I have been coming to this place for almost 15 years now. I came in today to sell an item that is very personal to me. I got 3 different offers From different staff members only for one staff member to come and give me an offer that sounds very promising and then another offer from another staff member that tells me that she can only give me a smaller amount this is very unprofessional as I was very excited to receive the offer that the lady have already given me. It’s things like this, that really makes customers feel very unsatisfied and I think that it should be addressed in all businesses. And this is coming from someone who has a degree in business.

Most of the associates are good and reasonable, but I’m not gonna lie some of their associates will try a little too hard to haggle. Overall would recommend, but advise being smart.

I was really satisfied with the service and impressed with the level of professionalism. All the employees were very friendly. If you go make sure you ask for Dustin to get the best customer service. This guy was able to sell me a brand new tv at a crazy good deal, the tv didn’t have a remote so he took the extra time to find a universal remote for it and made sure it worked with the tv and then helped me Position the tv in my car to make sure it would not get damaged on the drive home. Just as I was about to get back on the road this guy rushed back out of the store to my car to hand me the correct remote. I was just so impressed that this guy still went back in the store to see if he could find the right remote even after the sale was already made and had the urgency to catch me before I left just to make sure I had the correct remote. He definitely did not have to do all that. They definitely understand the importance of customer satisfaction.

My daughter is going to college soon. I was looking for a gold promise ring set with dainty diamonds for her as something special celebrating her big step into the adult world The salesman was very knowledgeable, very pleasant and very fast. He seemed to know exactly what I wanted. I took her to Ruth Cris Steak House as our special mother daughter time and gave her the ring😊 they have very good deals and beautiful staff at National PAwn 😊

This place has gone down a lot. I used to love shopping here. I went yesterday and they let children play on the bikes, touching everything they pass by in the store and no one wiping down anything or social distancing no where. I got out quick. Also I hadn't realized they had lost their gun license. I don't know how the other stores are but I know I will not be returning to this one, on Roxboro Rd in Durham.
