If I could give zero stars I would. This company is shady business for sure. I tell them what I can pay and they tell me no we cannot do that. I ask to speak to management they give me a song and dance and tell me MAYBE someone will call me back. I am still waiting months later. I get no mail from them, no phone calls, no emails and today they put me in collections without notice. I call and continue to get the same run around. They say we can set you up on payment plan but we can't take it off the credit report. what a bunch of cons. I have no way of knowing what my balance is or any information for that matter in regards to what is owed supposedly.

Apparently first the hospital charges you for things they never mention and do not even let you know they charged you. Then they pass the "debt" to this shady collector that does not bother to inform you, but instead ruins your credit score by reporting $111 as 3 accounts and you missing the payments on each of them. Conclusion - never to mention your SSN when you deal with the hospitals. Oh, and did you know that there is a statute of limitations on debt collection in NC, which is in most cases 3 years? And after 7 years credit report agencies can not report your dept. Do not pay them. They will not undo the damage they caused.

This company seems shady at best. I received an unsolicited phone call from this organization. The strange part is that after speaking with 3 different employees, I still don't know why I was being contacted. Surprisingly, the BCFS employees I spoke with seemed angry that I would dare return their phone call and ask why I was being contacted.

Cleared the account on my credit report and the representative agreed to send a request to have it removed but then he “suddenly” found an older bill from 5 years ago and said he couldn’t remove it until it was paid… EXTORTION!

The person I spoke to was very nice and helpful and professional. However, the only reason I knew I owed any money was that a "collection" for less than $200. I never had a phone call, letter, or email, but they had my address, email address, and phone number all on file. They had no record of having reached out to me to attempt to collect the debt, and had no explanation as to why I never would have been notified of a collection from January 2020, a full 2 years old...

DIEGO! I don’t have your last name but I told you I wanted to make sure I would let your supervisor know how good of a hob you did. Courteous and professional. But I couldn’t figure out how to do it in the website so I’m doing it here. Supervisors, find DIEGO! And let him know he is doing a great job. No one likes talking to debt collectors, but when you have to, it’s best to get someone like Diego, but he made it a nice and smooth transaction from start to finish. Thanks again Fiego!

SCAM SERVICE!!! Do not send this company any money!!!!!!!! Please read !!!! Please read!!! This company sent me a letter saying I owed $670 for my ems ride. A ride I thought I already paid but the rep on the phone said if I didn’t pay it would go on my credit! Not thinking I was being scammed with my personal business I simply paid the debt. A week later I received the real bill from Durham county & now I have to fight with this company to get the stolen money back so I CAN PAY the real bill!!! Do not be foolish like me!

I have a monthly payment agreement with Bull City Financial. Payments have been consistently paid on time for the past year; however, on two occasions the company has reported my account to the major credit bureaus. The purpose of being on a payment plan is to make timely payments and maintain a positive credit status. Each time they have reported my account to the credit bureaus I was able to have the negative report removed, but it is both unprofessional and unfair to report the account when payments are current and never late. One positive comment I can make is that all but one representative have been cordial over the phone.

I was able to resolve a debt easily BUT that has been OVER 3 months ago. I was told at most 45 days until it drops from my credit report. I have filed a dispute with transunion. That just does not sit right with me. When someone pays off a debt you shouldn't have to be hounded to update it.

If I could give negative stars, I would. I get these people are debt collectors, but the whole I know all attitude can be left at the door. Called to pay my debt and left with money in my bank still. These people need a huge attitude adjustment.

The receptionist was not patient and hung up on me..I was calling to make a payment. After all that’s what they are there for correct? To help customers. Bravo! Your supervisors must be proud. Luckily I called back amd Porcha was super professional and took my payment. Thank you Porcha!

They have been reporting on my credit for months saying I am over 120 days past due on a less than $300 medical bill I was not aware of. I was never contacted by them via mail or phone even though they had all of my info. They have managed to pull my credit score down over 100 points. When I asked them to verify the debt they did a poor job meeting any standard of money being owed. When I told them I would pay them regardless if they deleted and provided a letter saying they would delete it they told me they only provide the letter after payment. This company is incredibly irresponsible. Reading other reviews I am not the only one who’s credit score has been drug into the mud without even being aware that they were looking for money, no one ever contact me despite having all of the information to do so. I only found out when I decided to randomly pull my credit report . This business operates under the lowest level of ethics. I don’t know how anyone who works there can look in the mirror and be OK with themselves. There are people who can’t buy homes because BCFS is reporting on small debts for months without contacting them.

I was in the hospital, and unconscious for most of my admission. I have medical insurance but after a month stay and emergency surgery the cost was high, I have no idea which doctors were consulted, or scans and ex-rays complete along with years of out patient aftercare. Bills from people and places I have no memory of were coming in from everywhere. I had 1 account with Bull City paid in full through direct payment. Bull city receive 8 more small bills from different doctors and did not notify me over a 4 year period,. Instead of contacting me, they put 9 negative marks on my credit report 2wks ago, 1 for an account paid with zero balance.. Crashed my 800 credit rating to low 600s. I had paid everything and everyone off about 63k over 5 years. If they had emailed, sent a letter or called, I would have paid them immediately. So I paid them everything as soon as I saw credit report. They are cruelly hurtful, talk over you and down to you on the phone {VERY RUDE}for no reason, just because they can. They easily could have gotten money instead with 1 attempt to contact me. Beyond surprised BBB has not closed them down. It is all shameful, destructive, and for the most part a scam.

Got cold called from this group and refused to identify themselves and purpose of call! Demanded I give out personally identifying private information . I’m assuming a super sketchy debt collector or even a scam! Since all my debts are in good standing and handled most likely an illegal operation or something borderline. Very rude when trying to get basic information!!! Watchout!!! Will be reporting to Bbb and consumer affairs!!!

I would give them 0 stars but it's not an option. This is the worst company I hade pay a bill that was sent to them in full and the will not clear it from my report it still shows the original amount . The people on the other are not helpful at all

I do not know anything about this debit , they said after running my first, last name there record indicates nothing in return, nor when trying to pull information using my social security number, so why it is in my record from first place .

Edit: hahahaha I win! Got the charge deleted. Never pay these frauds a penny. Tell the company trying to collect that they were rude and threatened you. They will go out of business if they can't collect. ************ Vultures. Refuse to respond to evidence the charges against me are invalid. It's all about money. I'm going to file with the state attorney general for collections fraud.

Lies. Lies. And more lies. They will speak to you as if you have no clue how businesses or collections or financing/banking work. They are ridiculously and unnecessarily rude. It doesn’t take much to be kind -yes, even in collections.

I have paid off the account and was calling to verify that I have a 0 balance they will not return my calls and it has brought my credit score down 40+ points! I am so angry, I am trying to get my credit score up in order to obtain a mortgage loan and this $360 debt that has been paid is holding me up!

Settled for a little less than what I owed and it was shown as a closed account on my credit report within 2 weeks!!

I called Bull City Financial to resolve a medical debt I did not know I had from a long time ago. I spoke with Samantha and she was great. She helped me take care of everything in a professional and timely manner. If you owe any money to these guys do not be scared to call. They are very polite and customer service oriented.
