Ashton H. from the service center was beyond helpful. I had a list of questions about all kinds of different things and she was able to answer every single one without hesitation. I felt more at ease with my banking needs thanks to her. She needs a raise, certificate, gift card, or something to commemorate her service skills. Shes patient, knowledgeable and efficient. Do not go to the Midvale Fort Union location teller drive through unless you have AT LEAST an hour to spare waiting in line. Also, when the lines are longer than two cars, the ATM entrance is blocked.

I recently switch my accounts to Mountain America CU from America First CU. The customer service here is by far a million times better than any America First CU branch I've been to! The transition process was also very smooth. Brittani DiMeglio helped us with opening our new accounts and she is AMAZING to work with. She was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and even humored me with my poor attempts at jokes. If you need to open an account go see her! Although, from my short experience there, everyone was extremely happy and friendly.

Friendly, and originally helpful. A week after I went in and talked to them I found out what they told me was untrue. One of the loan officers stated that after my student loan was approved I could overdraft my account and nothing would matter (I had some bills to pay). Well it turns out, if you overdraft your account the loan gets delayed a little bit more and more. I am now waiting for my paycheck to come so that I can get my student loan and pay my rent. If I get evicted because a loan officer gave me false information then there will have to be some serious thoughts on the side of the business and branch owners. It has now been less than a week since I originally posted this review. I was contacted by Kelly, who works in the customer service department. She helped me out and took a verbal review so she could coach and fix the issues I ran into. Was a wonderful call. The forwardness and willingness to fix this issue in such a timely manner was phenomenal. Will definitely continue to use MACU.

I love Mountain America Credit Union! They are friendly and go the extra mile to help you with whatever situation you have. They are courteous and you feel like you have some good friends there. I truly feel a part of their team as a customer.

Mountain America used to put their members first. I don’t know if it’s a new wave of employees after 2020 or if they just got too big and have put their members behind in their priorities like the big banks, but it has been bad for 6-8 months now. Sometimes you find an employee who listens and wants to help but it’s very rare these days. I have had my account number compromised, which led to having to change my business account number entirely. So now I have 900+ checks that are useless and I go into the branch asking for some checks to get me by until I can get new ones ordered and delivered. Usually that takes 1-2 weeks. When I had the number changed, the rep informed me that in a couple days I could come into a branch and they could print me out some checks to hold me over. So I tell my story, which Lance can see with my account, ask for checks and am told I can’t get more than 8. I again tell him what happened and why I need more and I get the same response. This is one of a half dozen examples of poor customer service. I feel like I’m back with Chase, or God forbid, sometimes even Wells Fargo. Time to move on.

I didn't like the fact that I was charged 2 $25.00 service fees for going into my over draft for the 1st time in over a year or more and never for more than 12 hrs. I did go to the branch the next day and deposit $800.00 into checking & $300.00 into savings the teller was wonderful and she was able to take off 1 off the fees but not the other. Up until this incident I always bragged.about Mountain America Credit Union but I'm not so sure anymore.

My mother and I went over to the bank on Thursday to get some banking done. By the time we were through we were extremely happy with the results. The people are very helpful, personable and professional. We want to thank you all for everything you have done for us sincerely Cynthia Mackert
