Pam Gustafson is the best. Our situation was looking pretty bad until se was able to work her magic. She help us get somethings on our credit report off that should have never of been there to begin with. She was with us every step of the way and kept us informed when ever she got even the tiniest bit of informatio. That being said we are closing on our dream house today 5/5/2022. Other places were no able/willing to help us like the mortgage nerds were. They are very proficient with the VA Home loan guidelines was well. If, this is a big if, we ever have to buy again we will be going through Pam again.

How much do we adore Pam Gustafson and her team at mortgage nerds let me count the ways. First, my wife and I are middle aged adults so we are not spring chickens when it comes to purchasing a property or refinancing. Years ago, we had the experience of a mortgage broker disclosing the closing cost for a cash-out refinance during the loan application/underwriting process. We were prepared to accept the terms that were disclosed to us. Then, on the day of closing, the mortgage broker tacked on an additional $10,000 mortgage broker fee. We were told in the office of the title company that we could either sign the closing documents and accept the additional fee or not sign and walk away from the refinance. This experience has made us very distrusting of mortgage brokers. I want you to know that Pam Gustafson and the team at mortgage nerds were honest and upfront about the costs. We did not have to pay a ridiculous mortgage broker fee. And on top of that the closing costs were lower than what they estimated. Pam and her team were also very patient with us when we questioned everything! Pretty sure we asked "why" more than a curious toddler. Recently we had the experience with a national bank that told us they would be able to close within 45 days on an investment property. The national bank ghosted us for 3 weeks even though we called and e-mailed every day asking about where we were in the process. The national bank assured us that we would close on time. Long story short, the week we were supposed to close the bank e-mailed and said we would not be closing on time. We wish we would have known about mortgage nerds when we were purchasing that property. When we applied to refinance our properties Pam Gustafson told us it would be 45 days to refinance. She was able to do it 30 days! And on top of that she was able to arrange for us to sign the closing documents while we were on vacation! Pam said we made things easy by being organized and immediately getting her the documents she needed. But we do know that our circumstances gave Pam additional hoops to jump through. Pam listened to everything we needed and wanted out of this cash-out refinance and she remembered details that we had forgotten like not paying off a loan that was 0% interest for 5 years. We are thankful that Pam and her team were on top of everything and we would recommend Pam and mortgage nerds to anyone looking to buy a house or refinance.

Jake Knuppel is amazing to work with! He goes above and beyond and does an amazing job. He is very knowledgeable in all aspects regarding credit scores, rates; mortgages, accepted offers, ect! He makes buying a home so much less stressful than it has to be. Great sense of humor, easy to communicate with. I’ve used him 2 times now for buying a home.
