Wonderful experience! Love that it is video driven and all materials relevant to course work were available. Instructor kept my attention and was fun to listen to. He has a lot of experience in the industry and knows what he is talking about. Love that he is direct, precise, and gets to the point, with an obvious pause to give time to notate - possible upcoming test questions. One of the best continuing ed classes I have ever taken. I was very pleased with this course. I have never taken an online instructor led course before and did not know what to expect. I only hit a couple of snags and when I called Tiffany out in Utah, she was there to help me. I invited her to lunch if she ever gets to Florida. I like the way Dave Luna presents the material and just very well pleased over-all. Great experience!

It pains me to give this mark. I have chosen MEC exclusively for my CE for several years and tell everyone I can about them as well. I love the fact that I can choose the class by instructors listed on the website. I chose David as I have known him for years and enjoy his way of teaching. This time I chose him as well but the second half of class was done by another person and I must say that the teaching style was different. The gentleman was nice and definitely knew his stuff but it was not on the same caliber as David’s instruction. I paid for the class, which was a little more, but felt a bit slighted by not getting the entire “David experience.” Once you’ve had it, it’s hard to replace😄. I will be back and hopefully it will be with David for the entire time. Keep doing the good work, we need it!

The 16-hour course is really well done. The videos really help guide you along in the learning process. The work book is easy to read and easy to follow along with the videos to make notes and outline important key things to learn. It was worth the investment. I highly recommend the course to anyone interested in being an MLO.

Found this program to be super easy to follow along and the video instructor made everything easy to comprehend. Be sure to pay special attention to the allotted time/days to complete only certain modules. I signed up for the weekend friendly course thinking I could log in any time during the 10 day period that spanned over 2 weekends but there was only so far I could go the 1st weekend, so I couldn’t work ahead on the front end when I had more time, so I was caught off guard by that. Still highly recommended though!

I am super pleased I decided to go with MEC for my pre-licensing training. David Luna was easy to follow, interesting and engaging. I have participated in other online learning and this was by far the best. The pace was great and I love the way he spiraled the information throughout the course. I will definitely be referring anyone who asks that is looking for training. Easy to say, I will be back for my annual license renewal.

I took their 20-hour pre-licensing education course and I loved it! The instructor, Dave, was very knowledgeable and entertaining to learn from. The course is really designed to help one learn and prepare for the SAFE test. Not only were the lectures good, but the course also supplies you with a ton of other resources to study and prepare!

I've had an amazing experience with Mortgage Educators. At first, I was a bit discouraged being that I only have experience in the medical field. I wanted to change course in my life path. I thought the information would be hard to grasp but this NMLS approved education provider allowed me to understand the content by thoroughly explaining all and giving study guides to assist. I'll be back to expand my licensing throughout many more states!

I have used MEC for all of my CE for the last 6 years, and have always enjoyed the classes. I switched from the standard online class to the live webinar and loved the change, as it was nice to finish the class in one day but this last class is not one I would want to take again. David Luna taught the first half and it was great information, he is very knowledgeable and uses a lot of real life scenarios. It’s nice to finish my 8 hrs in one day, and I get a lot out of his classes. But the 2nd half was a different instructor, and he basically read the slides to us for 3-4 hours and it felt so long and hard to listen to and I didn’t get a lot out of the second half. If that is how the next class is, I may look at other CE options in the future. Please use instructors who don’t just read the content, and will make the information more enjoyable in the future.

Everything was great, fast, and efficient. But, Jason was great with his years of experience and knowledge about the HECM program. I just could not understand him due to his language barrier and pronunciation. Please do not make him the new instructor. David, please continue to instruct us or I will see another provider. Thank you.

I love doing the self-paced MLO Continuing Education courses with MEC. The intro video clips are funny and entertaining and you can follow along with each course section with a textbook in pdf format. I love watching Dave Luna doing the videos each year and having guest speakers for different sections too. The prices are excellent too! I've been using MEC for years and am always happy.

lot of research on which online eduction institute to use for my Pre-Licensing, and I am really happy with M.E.C. The website is easy to use. I can pause and unpause videos or rewind to take notes. It was affordable and I truly like the gentleman that is teaching on the videos. The course work is obviously not exciting for most people and can be mundane but it isn't so bad with him teaching and talking in the videos. He seems to know what he is talking about and has worked his way from beginner. You won't be disappointed with this course provider.

I could not have passed the MLO exam (especially 1st try) without MEC! I took the 20 hour course and it was extensive and detailed. Randal and Andrew (presenters) were amazing and throughout added ways to remember the extensive material. And a shout out to Larisa (webinar manager) who is awesome. They are all very interested in making sure you understand the material and can pass the exam. They made you feel like they cared and you are part of a family. Additionally the study material provided after the course was excellent. I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone don't take a chance with your future. This is an extremely difficult test and they have what it takes to get you into your career You can get the info from other places but why they are truly excellent.

CE can be fun and educational! The time flies by. Great content with superb instruction from David Luna and Shane White. I'll be back next year!

Although I have taken the national test yet, I feel the MEC program was well presented. Couple of points that you might consider. 1) After each section is completed, maybe have 3-5 questions, instead of just one. Each section has a lot of information and to better challenge the student, a few extra questions won't take much time but would be great exercise. 2) Some of the "simple" subject matter, especially some addition and subtraction exercises are a bit elementary. These math problems can easily be solved in the students head and if not, they probably don't belong in this industry. More complex subjects, like how ARM's work, would be better served with greater explanation. All in all, a very well run class. Thank you

I completed the 20 hr pre-licensing course, went through the standard & ultimate test preps, and this morning passed the MLO exam!!!!! On the first try!!! The coursework and prep test covered everything needed to successfully pass the test. However, what I am most impressed with, is not only did I passed the test, but, I have a really good understanding of the regulations, ethics, fees . . . just what is right and wrong when dealing with a lending transaction. Thank you, again, and I am looking forward to using your course to complete my continuing education in November!!!!

The course was very informative but when taking the chapter exams the wrong answers were not provided. If each wrong answer was shown with the correct answer it would be very beneficial to the student. This would allow them to better learn where they are deficient on their knowledge.

I always enjoy the CE class hosted by MEC. I chose the 8 hour live webinar because it is interactive. David Luna is such a great presenter of CE. I will continue to do business with MEC.

The course had good information and explanations, however I would prefer to know the correct answer to incorrect quiz questions immediately and with an explanation. When I take a quiz and get a score with questions incorrect and don't know what I missed or why I feel that I have missed a learning opportunity.

I really really enjoyed this program. We joked that once this is over, we will miss Dave's voice in the evening while I study. MEC did a great job in condensing so much information into 18 hours. Best advice I can give is, definitely print out the course book. Having the actual papers in front of you to write on is huge! Easy to watch 5 minute video segments for each notable topic. It could be explained better by first telling us the subject, definition, and then an example for EVERY section. But the instructor does a good job at dumbing stuff down for me so I can understand it. Thank you

I passed the test on my first try with an 83%. David Luna and Andrew Connor were great. I really took their advice and put in the time. After completing the education I reviewed the text and started the courses. About half way through I began taking the practice tests. The tests helped me to understand my areas of deficiency and then Mortgage Educators provided me with lots of reference materials for review. By the end of the practice tests, I was consistently scoring in the mid 80's and I knew I was ready for the official exam. If you really follow the process that Mortgage Educators has put in place, it's a complete winning package and worth every penny. Big thanks in particular to David Luna for his care and enthusiasm, it really helped.

Taking my 18 hour pre-licensing education through M.E.C has truly been a outstanding experience! I've personally been out of school for a few years and was nervous about using online education. The course is great, learning was not as challenging to follow or absorb. I stayed engaged and enjoyed what I was learning. The material is understandable and the course really does give you the tools and education you want and need. The staff is efficient and incredibly supportive. They offer excellent communication and customer service as well. I highly recommend this course to anyone seeking the same education. I certainly will be using M.E.C in the future for my continuing education as well!

This course is good value, offers interesting relevant, current information about the mortgage industry. I am surprised at how good it is. I actually wanted to repeat some sections because the information was so useful. The only drawback is that their quizzes sometimes ask strange questions.

I have been taking MLO & RI CE classes every year for 15 years and Mortgage Educators & Compliance's online courses are BY FAR the best. They provide you the PDF textbook which you can use to search for answers to the questions and the videos are well done and easy to listen to. And the course goes fast, unlike other online courses that are drawn out way longer than the stated # of hours. I will ONLY be using these guys in future years.

I took this course and finished the standard course I also purchased the ultimate test prep course and passed the NMLS MLO test on the first try. They are very informative on the content. Although the minimum hours for pre licensing was 20 hours I found that I spent way more time than that studying and learning. I probably spent another 40-60 hours studying for the exam. Can you realistically pass the test after the course without studying? Yes, however I learned more studying the content on my own. Especially, the Ultimate Test Prep bundle was extremely helpful. As the standard only gives you a few quizzes and tests. The Ultimate Test Prep gives you a lot more quizzes and test. If you're interested in this field of work and looking for an approved NMLS course the only sure way to find an approved educator is through the NMLS website which is how I found MEC. Also, don't use the mobile app (it doesn't work well or not at all) use a desktop or laptop computer for training.

Great course........ I learned a lot of information. if your looking to become an MLO this is the course. They have wonderful support who are nice and are willing to answer any of your questions.

MEC is the cheapest and easiest to use, but they fail in one major aspect: a loose and inconsistent interpretation of the words "true" and "false." For example, if you must submit your documents no less than thirty days before the deadline, it is also true that you must submit them no less than fifteen days before the deadline, but MEC will consider the second statement "false." Mathematically, X > 30 ==> X > 15 What they really mean is "correct," but their lazy use of the T/F format for examinations leads to confusion and poor learning outcomes. On the plus side, the teacher's eyebrows do a great job of expressing when he is saying something serious, surprising, or important. Practice your microexpression skills!

Third time enrolling for 3 different courses and I now have 3 different life changing certificates. This is the best school for mortgage education by far.

David Luna was amazing. I passed the exam in my first attempt. The text book and the material was good enough. I bought the ultimate prep guide which was really helpful. Lot of videos and tests, i listened to those videos 2 times. I took like 5 weeks after buying that ultimate prep guide. I took my time to go through all the material, videos, making notes, revising them twice before my exam. I had no knowledge about mortgage, and i was very skeptical about myself. I thought that i wouldn't make it in first attempt. Mortgage educators is really good, definitely recommend it. If i can do it, you can do it too!

Excellent class that you can take at your own pace with loads of downloadable resources. Customer service is available, without much of a wait. They will assist you with technology, your class or industry questions, assist with NMLS website and steps to obtain a licence. The many practice test included in the study package, was a great help.

Very easy to get through the course, Its divided into segments of 5 minute videos so it will be a lot of videos you are watching, it feels eternal sometimes and that your progressing slow through the program but you can stop and pick up at any time, which makes it easier if you have other things going on in your life because the video segments are short you don't have to wait a long time for the video to end incase you need to get up and do something, the quizzes were easy, it lets you retake them until you pass. The CA 2 Hours was really easy, i completed it in close to 3 hours straight

I would recommend taking the MLO course from Mortgage Educators. The course was informative, easy to follow, instructor was engaging, and the outline flows consistently. After course instructions and requirements are easy to understand.

I thought the course was excellent but if I had one issue it would be that all the laws should be presented in chapter 2. They are referenced all over the place and at some times I actually got lost because the law were presented in various ways. I think if they stated there are many various laws in Real Estate and MLO processing. We will present the most important ones here. The as we cover each topic we will have you link back to the Law. This is my only issue. The course had more content than I expected and at times I was overwhelmed

Everything is great with MEC accept maybe the price. The information given is good and current to the industry. The pace is good and keeps the student involved. They are definitely professional. The only thing is there seems to be other companies out there with much cheaper courses. I did mine late so I didn't have time to shop but i have definitely seen lower costs now but maybe i missed a coupon or code or something. Even with the cost, its a great option for your CE.

they have the worst continuing ed classes I've ever had to sit through. it took almost 8 hours to get through the videos because it signs you out, you have to click through them, it repeats the same videos instead of going forward. redundant buttons and instructions to tell you to click "next" "continue" or "start". This was unbelievably frustrating, was ready to pull my hair out by the end.

The instructor is very personable, engaging and presents the information in plain English. The course has the right balance of useful tips and educational information. It is worth the time and money.

Unlike most other online courses, Mortgage Educators classes are not boring! Dave makes the videos a pleasure to watch and the course material easy to understand and process. Kudos!

I've been in the mortgage business for 6 years. This was the first year I have used Mortgage Educators and I plan on using them again every year for continuing education. I used the pre-recorded videos (not live) and found that the self-paced videos worked well for my schedule. David Luna is animated and interesting when presenting the required continuing education. He also adds insightful information in current events and trends in the mortgage industry. I highly recommend Mortgage Educators.

Look, no one looks forward to the CE requirements every year. Dave and his team have done a good job of making these courses educational and pleasant. In the past I've done the courses that are all slides and reading materials and they are absolutely miserable. But like Dave says, after taking this course, I actually learned something new. This was, by far, the most engaging and FUN way to get my CE training done! David is very funny and entertaining, but also extremely knowledgeable. loved David, however what i found was info being thrown around in no specific order. things mentioned in chapter 1, then brought up and in detail in a later chapter. i would also like to see the quiz/test's be improved by showing you the correct answer AFTER the test is completed and you can review what was wrong and why its that answer to help further the growth of a MLO in training.

These guys are the best! I passed my test with a high score on the very 1st attempt. I felt very prepared. I noticed most people have to take the test multiple times when using popular competitors. The secret is 20 hrs education, Test Prep Pro (included) and Ultimate Test Prep (additional).

This is the 2nd year we have worked with Marve and hands down he is the most interesting and personal instructor for continuing education in our industry that we have worked with.

This is a great course at an affordable price. I REALLY enjoyed the VP, David, who recorded the videos for the course. The people who do the chapter reviews go fast for those of us taking note but you have a pause and rewind option. MY BEST ADVICE IS TO GET YOUR TEXT BOOK EARLY IF YOU PLAN TO PURCHASE ONE. I didn't think I'd want one, I was wrong; I needed it. Because I waited to order, mine didn't arrive until I was 90%, or so, done but I'm glad I have it now and am thankful for it.

After being a loan officer for for 33 yrs. there is not much that I have not heard or experienced but the classes I have taken have held my attention and I have reinforced my learning. You will be my provider from now on.

Very informative! I appreciate the way things were broken down, and the examples given helped to clarify some topics.

I enjoyed the course, along with the facilitator; but I must comment on the offensive verbiage set out in chapter 6 (along with a few other spots in the training). Why wouldn't MEC use "Non-Minority Borrowers" instead of "White Borrowers", which constituted racial discrimination in your training. I also noticed gender discrimination with the use of pronouns like "him" or "his", insinuating the offender was always male. The terms used, should be "them" or "they". I am hoping this was an oversite by MEC and will be corrected in future presentations. Thx

I am a brand new mortgage loan officer and this was my very first time taking a mortgage course. I liked that the prices were very reasonable and I like the passion that the instructors have for teaching. I also like how they give many tips and tell stories to illustrate a point. After completing the 20hr pre-licensing course I bought the Ultimate Test Prep. Once I completed that I felt way more prepared to take the actual test and I passed it on my first try so I was so excited! There are a few things I noticed though. For example, I noticed some spelling mistakes in the study material and even in some exam questions. Some of the videos had very poor editing, like when they wanted to update an old video with a new penalty amount, the editing was poorly done. Also the video tutorial that explains how to navigate the course was blurry and some videos would suddenly stop before the instructor even completed his sentence (specially in the Ultimate Test Prep). I think the overall video quality could use an upgrade. Other than that, I recommend it!

This was the absolute best training I had received thus far. The instructors were engaging, thorough and detailed with information given. I had learned so much and will apply all to make me the best Loan Officer ever! Thank you so much for offering this great platform!

I've used mortgage educators for several years now. I needed some help today because the NMLS wasn't showing my CE as complete, although I completed it in May. I guess there was a 1 hour state CE I missed. Completely understandable. The problem is the rep who I spoke to had attitude and hung up on me. Really professional. So here's your 1 star review, and I'll find another company moving forward.

Super easy to follow, if you have any questions as you go through the videos, wait a second and your question will be answered. I didn't think I'd actually enjoy taking this course but I did! The course was straight forwarded, the key points were presented in a. way that was easily understood. It was great having a textbook that was downloadable and can be used as a resource throughout our careers. The smiling faces, and humor were great too.

This course was recommended by a YouTuber I felt closest to relating to. The instructor was very clear and easy to listen to. Having been in the industry so many years, the instructor knew his stuff, explained throughly and made understanding it easy. Prep yourself; its LOTS of information.

It was so simple and efficient going through the videos and pausing to take notes. I have filled 3 notebooks full of notes from the primary course alone. I needed to ask for an extension and it was given swiftly! Definitely happy with my choice for education.
