My experience at American Fork Pawn Shop was fantastic. I was looking for a very particular item and after extensive research, this place was the only one to have it in over an hour all directions. Not only did they have my desired item, but it was fairly priced too. While I was at the shop, I looked around and was surprised at the wide range of items available. Electronics, sports equipment, jewelry, weapons, tools, video games, movies, and more are to be found there. The man running the counter (I presume was the owner) was helpful and professional. I laugh at many of the other reviews of this place because there's no way I could have such a great experience if this place were that bad. 10/10 worth checking out for yourself.

Staff almost seemed bothered that I walked through their door. It is a well kept store with a fairly average selection of abused items, but for retail price, if not more than retail. With C-A-L Ranch and Harbor freight a short distance away, I don't think I'd bother coming here again.

They were pretty good on their rates. Its a pawn shop so they are going to low ball you no matter where you go if you want a good price for your stuff your selling DONT go to a pawn shop... They were bought average on prices, its the service, attitude, atmosphere was not very inviting or welcoming with no smiles to be found. They do have a ton of stuff pretty cool stuff and good deals so I'll give em that over all not the best.

The AF pawn associates quoted me $80 for an opened box Harbor Freight winch. The exact same brand new winch at Harbor Freight is $60. The two young men behind the counter made no effort to correct or justify the highly marked up price they quoted. Cross check your prices before shopping here.

I've been waiting outside since 1:30pm it is now 2:30pm and no one is here still there is no sign on the door saying there closed and the hours say there open this place sucks and I've wasted 1 hour of my time for no one to be here

The negative reviews here don't match any of my experiences in this store at all. I've done a fair amount of business with these folks and I've never gotten a bad attitude - quite the opposite actually. The employees (and the owner as well) have never been anything other than polite and courteous to me. They've also never argued or balked at what I asked for loans on the items I've pawned there, but then again, I understand that this is a business, and don't ask for a loan that leaves them no room for profit margin should I default for some reason...it's simple business economics guys. I can tell you that this is one of the nicest pawn stores I've been in, and I've been in more than a few at my age. The merchandise is all clean and in excellent condition (this is NOT your typical pawn shop!), and the items I've priced there (especially electrical test equipment) are very reasonable. Don't let negative reviews keep you from visiting this store, go in and check them out for yourself. I did, and I was very pleasantly surprised. I think you will be too.

Ive frequented pawn shops for a while and this is without a doubt the WORST business I've ever dealt with. The employees are incredibly rude and have no knowledge of the items they are selling or trying to buy. You'll get 10% of the value of anything you pawn there, at best! And you'll pay around a 500% markup for anything you buy from them. I sincerely hope they go out of business soon. The last thing this town needs is terrible people taking advantage of our good citizens.

Look no one wants to be in the position where they have to pawn their stuff. But this is a family owned businesses. They will work with you the best they can. The rate are the best out there. They have some of the best stuff to buy for that reason. I wouldn’t go anywhere else

Customer service lacks friendliness big time! Very rude and intimidating. I had a much different friendlier customer service experience at a neighboring pawn shop even though neither took my items.

I called in attempting to get a quote, I wasn’t informed of not being able to get one on the phone and informed he had more important customers. I’ve been to basically every pawn show In Utah valley multiple times over the past 12 years and this is the only place my father and I have agreed is not worth going to, I recommend EZ pawn and VIP pawn to anyone reading this. Fix your business and get some real customer service, sorry and have a good day is a blank reply And did your employee tell you he told, because he actually did not. (The only business where customers are always wrong)

Some of the prices for purchasing items are acceptable, but man, the non-existent customer service just makes me sad. As you are checking out the owner literally won't even look at you or talk to you. He is stone cold and could use a few lessons on customer service. Whether he likes it or not, he is running a retail business, and his poor attitude and impersonal style really put you off. For this reason, I'd definitely go elsewhere.

These are some good guys with a cool store full of goodies. They don’t mess around and won’t be bullied so forget about it. The owner is very knowledgeable and helpful. Great gun selection and fair prices. They have a provo location as well — Provo pawn.

After seeing they had a utahgunexchange ad showing they had some .40 cal available, I went to check this place out. I simply asked where the ammo was and if there was any available (the ad was posted back in January) and the response I got was cold and condescending, I got what I needed but I won’t be returning.

Owner is a huge jerk. Don’t go here. Lots of stolen items as well.
