Just wrapped up a home loan with Zak & his team at MJW Financial. They were fantastic every step of the way! From extremely quick response times to taking the time when needed to walk us through every step. Their online interface is easy to use & keeps you up to speed on the loan process at any time you log in. If I could rate higher than 5 stars I would. My boyfriend and I purchased a home on June 21 at the age of 19 and 20. As first time home buyers and obviously being very young we were very very new and nervous to the entire process. Choosing Amy and John as part of our team through MJW was the best choice ever!!! I would never use MJW in the future or recommend them to anyone. The questions I was being asked were far beyond the bounds of what a typical mortgage loan should cover. I was being asked by multiple people to submit documents I had already submitted on multiple occasions. Every single week I would be asked to submit new documents, and be told "this is the last time", up until the day of closing. It felt like there were 4 or 5 people working on my loan, but none of them actually spoke to or communicated with each other, so I was constantly feeling like I was saying the same thing over and over again. From the moment we started the loan process it was clear I was a 1099 employee, and the contract I gave them was crystal clear about it. Despite this, they tried to secure my loan as a normal W2 employee. Why they did this I don't know, I'm not even sure they know why. So 5 days before closing they were scrambling to fix the mess they created and nearly cost us the house. In the end I needed to pay an extra $18,000 which I was told about quite literally 24 hours before the closing date of the house. Luckily I was able to cover this cost, but had I not been able to, then we would have lost out on the earnest money we put down on the house, the time spent during the process, and the house itself. At one point I had signed papers to secure a loan that was a 30 year fixed rate. A a few weeks later, I was asked to sign another document, which they did not explain what it was. During the process I was bombarded with documents to sign so I didn't think much of it, but thankfully I was careful to read them all. The document actually changes the loan terms I had previously signed, and they did not explain this prior to asking me to sign it. So this leaves two scenarios, they either knew the terms were different and were trying to get me to sign it without explaining the terms or why it was changed, or they were not paying attention and didn't even realize there was a change to the loan terms. Either situation isn't acceptable in my eyes and unprofessional. The whole experience, from start to finish, was unenjoyable, frustrating, and felt like it was being run by amateurs. I think this is the first negative review I've left ever, and I feel bad about saying all this, but it's all the truth. The whole experience was a headache compared to every single other loan I've got in my entire life.

Absolutely the WORST experience with a firm I have ever had! Borders on dishonesty. They do not answer their phone, do not return phone calls, emails. Never met one commitment they had made. Still have not closed. They make up excuses daily to not meet their obligations. Contacted numerous people in the firm, up and down the management team who conducted themselves the same, excuses, excuses. If I could rate a negative 5 star I would. Do not do business with these people.

We just recently purchased a home and had the privilege of having Zakary Shobe as our loan officer. I can only say great things about having him as our loan officer and MJW as our lender. Zakary worked around the clock for us, sending in our pre-approval letter outside normal business hours and being there when we needed him at all times. This type of service is one you can only find with a guy like Zakary and a company like MJW. We would not have received this service if we had gone with our bank. Only thing I didn't like is that they sold mines after closing I don't know if all companies do that I just didn't like it would've rather stayed with the company I started with other then that great company I have few people asking who I went to for help I'm sending that way

My biggest concern is the lack of communication post loan, I have followed up multiple times and still not been given any information on how to pay the mortgage and we are a week out from our payment date The loan process itself was okay but did have to reupload the same documents multiple times throughout the process and get clarification on what I was signing

Good Morning, My experience with MJW: My Real Estate agent Levi Cromer advised me that Jake Kersey would be who he recommended to use for my Loan. Jake contacted me almost immediately after I left messages to him concerning my need for a loan in the purchase of my new home. He explained en tge documents that I would need in order to get the VA loan and also the other documents required for the loan. I was able to provide him with most everything except the 2021 Tax Forms because I had not filed yet. Once I was able to file those then I forwarded them. Then someone else came on board - Joe Garcia and I found them repeating what documents I needed to forward. This would be a second submission. I don't know what happened with your company and Jake but it was very frustrating to have to put my info to your company a second time. All in all everything got processed a little late because of the sellers needing to have to provide a last minute document concerning the manufactured home being a permanent structure. I got through it all and then my loan was sold to another company. Your letter informed me this was a normal procedure for a lot of loan companies. I was a bit put off since I have a very good credit rating. So there it is. I wish I could have given a 5 but cannot. Thank you though for all your company did for me.

I had previously given a 5 star review with our refinance. Everything went smoothly with that, however when receiving our new home loan we were specifically told by 2 MJW employees we could plan to do a recast and close on the build of our house first. When it came time to recast MJW sold our loan immediately to a company who would not honor the recast. The individual we were working with has never apologized or offered any real significant financial solutions. I would never recommend this company to anyone or use their services again.

I’ve done a refi and a new purchase with MJW, and they have been fantastic! Loan Officer Zak Shobe is the most attentive in the business, getting you whatever you need whenever you need it. I will be using MJW from here on out!

We recently closed on our new home with lots of help from Zak Shobe. He was always very quick to reply to my questions, clarifying and explaining, and letting us know what steps would be next. In the craziness of the current building industry with shortages and delays, we had a few situations that could have pushed the closing date and Zak worked to find solutions then followed up frequently the last couple of days to be sure we were able to move into our dream home as scheduled.

They are an awesome mortgager to work through. Our loan officer Zak was incredibly helpful and prompt and will help you no matter the hour or day. We were in a bind getting a loan preapproval in time for an offer and Zak saved the day! MJW also matched the rates and credits of another lender, they will really work for your business. If you’re looking for a home in the Indy area I can’t think of a better option for a local lender.

Five stars is honestly not enough. My husband and I originally thought it would be easier/more efficient to go through our everyday bank, however that proved not to be the case and we were left scrambling just three weeks prior to closing on our home. Thankfully, we were given Zak Shobe's number and he immediately got the ball rolling. And when I say immediately, I mean 8pm on the same night we dropped our other lender. His commitment to and communication with his clients is unmatched. I truly believe that we wouldn't be sitting here and enjoying our home that we closed on 6 days ago if it weren't for Zak and his team working hard to make it happen in such a short amount of time. We couldn't recommend him and MJW Financial enough. By far one of the best decisions we've made!

I worked with MJW during the process of buying my first home in 2021. Not only was I a first time home buyer, but the 2021 housing market was not friendly to buyers in general. Will Jones and the rest of the MJW team were always available to help me with questions or concerns. Their pre-approval process was very simple and the closing process was rather easy with how convenient their online portal is to use. Most importantly though, they went above and beyond. Will checked in on us constantly and was able to get answers to any questions we had. There were several times I had questions at night or on weekends and Will always made time for me. With how fast pace the market was, I was thrilled that the MJW team was on top off their game and was there with us every step of the way.
