Minnco Credit Union 1st Ave W, Cambridge

This credit union enabled my soon to be ex-wife commit bank fraud on two occasions. When I confronted the VP Kirsten I was accused of being a lier and that the transaction occurred in the Andover branch. I reassured her I had never been in the Andover branch, or even in the town of Andover because I live in Brainerd and my wife works in Cambridge. Also, my accounts were closed via email, with no email other than a confirmation of closure and edocs signed I never even seen. Minnco has great loan rates for dirtbikes and boats, but it's not worth the risk of lying employees and fraud. I hope you enjoyed the half of my Iraq War Disability Payments that Minnco gave you!

I just went through the drive through, getting ready to deposit my check. I was waiting for the car next to me to get done and for the lady to finish. I got a rude remark asking what I was doing. I have had other encounters as well. Overall better costumer service need to be addressed.

I left Affinity plus for Minnco, and I don’t regret it one bit! They actually care about their members! They are kind and want the best for you! I love my local Minnco!

We bought a camper three years ago and they have been nothing but difficult to work with. First, our insurance agent was a tool and messed up coverage. This lovely agency decided to add additional money to our loan. We recently switched insurance which they didn't accept and had to call and fix. Autopay is atrocious and was messed up because of the additional money they requested for insurance with no easy online access. All in all, we won't work with them again and if you have other options for loans, I suggest you explore them too.

My family has been banking here for many many years. Never had any problems.. great service, loans, multiple accounts..until recently..I kept hearing other's complaints about their accounts being hacked.. then it happened to my husband and I, what a complete NIGHTMARE! The confusion and hacking happened for WEEKS! 2020 was rough enough without dealing with constant unknown money in my accounts. Once the fraudulent numbers were going back into my account, I notified the branch and was told they made mistakes, they never made things right for their employees not doing their jobs. Completely disappointed, we will be closing ALL of our accounts shortly and transferring to Affinity. I regret ever talking others into banking with Minnco and will be notifying others of my situation. Also, shame on them for the unprofessional attitude we recieved from their employees!

We used to like this bank. My husband opened an account years ago not knowing I could make no changes when I pay all the bills. He is the primary, and didn’t intend to set it up that way. Last year I had an associate add what they call “accounts” and I call them “tabs” within our account. Today they would not add one for me and said the gal should never have done that for me. Soon I feel we are going to have to move on to another bank. We are disappointed as others are here, I see with customer service!!!

Minnco Does NOT protect their customers. 99% of financial institutions will let you dispute a charge (debit or credit) when you have an issue - whether mistake or fraud. NOT Minnco! If you dispute a charge on you debit card they want you to close the card and WAIT for Minnco to reissue a new one. It usually takes 10 days or longer to get new card. Better yet, what happens to all the accounts you have attached to old card? (Utilities, phone, internet, etc..) Minnco's mgmt can't think that far in advance. Avoid these folks & find a full service bank and/or credit union.

I have a loan with this company and they were suppose to reimburse me for a laps in insurance on my travel trailer. They only re insured me a partial payment and put the rest back on my loan. Now they owe me money and I'm getting charged interest on the lapsed insurance amount and my payments on my loan are $50 higher each month. Tried to resolve it peacefully with the Asst. Manager Staci Norby but she was unwilling to cooperate and now I have to take them to Small Claims Court over $160. I don't recommend this company.

Account has been hacked. Got money back within 2 days. System goes down constantly whether it be their ap, etell, or their website. Good customer service though. But starting to get tired of fraud charges and down systems.
