    Maria Mejia is simply the best!!!! From the first time that my husband and I went, she helped us; and she guided us in all aspects and doubts, her way of treating people and that respect, as if we were family and I love that whenever I need to call her and thank God I have always gotten the help I need.     I went into the back to speak with someone regarding a credit card. Waited 30+ minuets finally had someone come out and tell me they can take my information and will call me back later. Today I received a call that my credit card application was denied. They had me fill out an application for a credit card when I only wanted financial advise. I’m disappointed in my bank for doing this. Will not recommend much rather go to Capital One.

    These people are so incompetent that they can't even close my accounts correctly. MidFlorida, I really don't understand how you're still in business when you don't listen to your account holders when they're talking directly to you. I have never in my life experienced such a lack of competence by any organization. It is truly astonishing. You people are horrible.

    Nice brand new bank. Usually not very busy at this location so it’s easy to get in and out quick. Staff has been very helpful and friendly there. They can also print same day debit cards if need be.

    Have had the Freedom account for about a year. Decided to come in and see if I could be upgraded to a free account after a year of good standing. I was assisterld by a lady of Hispanic descent. They check the history and I have just two minor overdrafts in 12 monthe that I resolved rather quickly. She then says the manager requests a hard inquiry on my credit just for a " free checking" account. I was bit hesitant but she proceeded on to check it checking without asking if that is okay. Seconds after the inquiry I get an alert in my phone that there is a hard inquiry from MidFlorida for a "installment loan" which i never requested and the banker denied but is clearly stated by Experian. It also seemed pretty odd that she was trying to get me to get a secured loan though I told her I wasn't interested in any loans so I do believe she requested the hard inquiry for a loan deliberately. All of this hassle only to get denied for a FREE checking account. Although I do feel I may have been racially profiled by the manager from the looks I received from them. Their employees seem to have great disregard to what their customers want and act on whatever they feel like. This was a complete opposite experience to the one I had during their grand opening a year ago where everyone was friendly. They'll try to find anything negative to deny you a "free account" in hopes of charging monthly fees from other accounts. The freedom account I have requires 20 transactions for the fee to be waived. 20 is excessive. What happened to banks trying to help you save? Also can only make deposits with a banker and not at an ATM. So much for the name "Freedom" account. I would recommend banking elsewhere if you can.

    I have nothing but good things to say about my past experiences with Mid-Florida Credit Union. The South Tampa office is really nice and really blew me away. I'm very happy they have a South Tampa presence. The staff was friendly, and I look forward to more business together.

    Not impressed so far. Went to open a new account and waited in the lobby for 15 minutes (then left) with 3 customer service reps and 2 of them had no one in their office. A teller acknowledged me but could not assist. I have concerns about opening an account there.
