Members 1st Federal Credit Union Marketplace Way, Enola

I have been a member for 35 years now (from back in the DAFCU days!). I have always had excellent service and support from Members 1st. I have never had an issue with a mortgage application, home equity loan, car loan, my accounts, their website, and especially customer service. I simply do not understand the number of negative reviews. It has *never* been my experience.

Members1st does not treat Veteran's very well at all. They denied my request to honor the Service Members Civil Relief Act because I'm active duty National Guard and not active duty Regular Army. Every other financial institution that I or my spouse use for credit cards honors the SCRA. This is why I cancelled my line of credit with Members 1st. Also their customer service completely ignores me regarding other matters of military finance or pay.

When people say this bank doesn’t care about its customers.. please believe them. I’ve had enough of this banks lies and lack of assistance and help after I’ve been a loyal customer of theirs for almost 10 years. I was going to have my partner finance their house and car through them until I realized how scheming and careless they really are. Closing my accounts and switching to PNC so I never have to deal with this corrupt bank again.

I'd give them zero stars if I could, absolutely horrible. I wouldn't bank with them if they were the last bank on earth, unprofessional, and rude, Helene Hogan is horrible. Stay away, they totally screwed us on our mortgage interest rate. DO NOT do any business with them.

With business and personal accounts at Members 1st I can say first hand they completely went downhill over the last 2 years. As a small business owner trying to survive covid Members 1st made my job a living hell this past year. They need to get with the times and think about getting some new upper management.

Refinancing my vehicle loan for a lower interest rate and Members1st policy is to add $5,000 to the loan since nothing else was changing. The $5,000 was payable by check to me but would raise my payment signficantly instead of decreasing which is the advantage of a lower interest rate. This is nuts! I have no idea who would put this kind of policy in place. I will be taking my banking needs elsewhere even though i've been with members1st for over 20 years. Way to look out for your long term customers Members 1st.

Very disappointed in business loan process. Marc alaimo is the worst so called VICE PRESIDENT I’ve ever had to deal with. We had originally talked to him for our business mortgage on phone and never heard from him again wouldn’t respond to emails or phone calls and voicemails had to take our business elsewhere. Few months down the road wanted to get a refinance on our service truck sent info online and members first had guess who call me. He spoke to me on phone and said would send documents over to have us sign. Email attachments were squished together. Have emailed and called for weeks now. No response. You have lost a customer for your business services. Hopefully you guys can improve for others and act as responsive and easy going as your personal accounts are.

The last five years members 1st did not approve me for an home equity loan and i tried to get a personal loan several times. I bought a mini van from thorton automotive for 15700. They sent my application to them and they approved me. A week later i checked online and seen my loan was much higher. I read my my paper work from thorton and seen they added 2900 for a two year warranty and another 900 for gap insurance. Im very disappointed that members approved me for this.

They recently built a taj mahal headquarters in Enola. Its no wonder their rates are no better than anywhere else and their fees are high. Someone profits but its not the members.

Very disappointed in Members 1st. They turned down the home equity loan that I recently applied for. They didn’t even consider my high credit score and my home as collateral. I have been a member for over 20 years. They definitely DO NOT put their members 1st. Now I need to find another bank that I can trust and do my banking with.
