MBE has only done VERY well by us - Our company is still afloat thanks to MBE!!! MBE Capital Partners stepped up in ways other PPP lenders did not, for us. Their application process and customer service/communication made the daunting task of filing financials w the SBA a smooth process. There was most definitely a learning curve for us, but the MBE team was patient and informative.

MBE has provided me with prompt and efficient services during the pandemic. They have assisted me in obtaining both PPP loans as well getting them approved for forgiveness. Thank you MBE! I look forward to working with you on any future endeavors.

This has been the worst experience of my life. I submitted my documentation in February and it is now June and I have gotten nowhere. They will not call or email me back at this point. I have reached out the consumer finance bureau for help, but me being me I have delayed their process in the hopes that MBE will get it together. At this point, they genuinely do not care about small business owners and because there was a loan number issued in my name and I signed a promissory note, I think they just stole the money. I have relentless with trying to get a hold of someone and I’m getting nowhere. Just got a whole SBA loan number in my name and I haven’t heard anything else about it. Honestly, pay attention to the reviews. Those are real people that have been dragged to hell by this supposed to be funder. The good reviews are probably just employees.

These reviews are extremely unfair. There process is long but they go the extra mile BEHIND THE SCENES for you. I actually got declined on there first attempt to submit to SBA. I was salty and just left it alone. Days later they resubmitted to SBA and I got approved. I didn’t have to call or leave reviews to get there attention. The portal is straight forward with the phases and FAQ section was helpful. I was afraid my business would fail just in time things worked out. Im very thankful for them. My advice let the process take its course. They wanna help as many small businesses as they can but may be overwhelmed with applications. It was smooth and fair. In the end I got the funds. I started my process in early March and just got funded today. I see all the bad reviews but this company is actually good as long as u have all your paperwork together. Regards..

I'm not sure why MBE would get a bad review. My experience has been nothing but great! The processing service was fast and simple. They send out notifications with updated information. Everything was super easy a 1st grader shouldn't have a problem with thier service. Thank you MBE!!

I am writing this review as I am hitting a brick wall with MBE Capital. I am hoping this review will push the process forward or withdraw my application so I can work with a lender that will assist their customers.My application was denied by SBA for a reason code of invalid TIN either though it was accurate. This is a code that the lenders have the ability to remove and put a reason of lender certification. I read this on the SBA website and even called my local SBA office and they confirmed. The SBA will not remove the code as they are stating the bank will have to do it or withdraw my application so I can work with someone who will push the processing through. I tried to tell the customer service rep that information even before reaching out to the SBA. I even forwarded her the SBA email from the Lender Specialist. I got no where. No one answers the phone nor return emails at MBE. The ticketing process and emailing the info email hasn't worked either. I should not have to start over in this process as it has already been a long one. I am just looking for assistance so someone could push this process through. Please do not respond to tell me to email Chelsea because I have already done that. Now I am in a state of limbo

Trying to be patient and understanding with this company because I know they are overwhelmed. Honestly, I get it but it’s really stressful when you can’t get a live person to discuss your application and I’ve been in the same phase for over 3 weeks with no updates. I’ve sent inquiries through the portal but the responses are so generic and appear to automated. My friends, who are business owners as well, are receiving approvals in 1 week or less and have the funds in their account in 2 weeks. I really don’t understand why the process is extremely extended for MBE. My recommendation is if you want to avoid stress (especially since none of us need more) don’t use this company.

First, I'm not affiliated or know anyone within this company. This is an authentic review of my experience. I applied in Feb with this company. 2 weeks later I began receiving communication from the underwriter about my application. Once the documents were submitted, my file went into the review stage. 1.5 months went by with no communication about the status of my application. I submitted an email asking for an update. The automated email said I would hear back in 1-3 days. The 3rd day(friday) i received an email stating that my file was being escalated and to give them some time to give me an update. This told me that my file had been lost in the shuffle of all the other files. The very next business day(Monday) I received an email saying my file was pre approved and being submitted to SBA. The next day(Tuesday) I received the email stating that the file was at SBA and waiting on a decision. The next day,(Wednesday) I received the email that SBA had approved my application and I would receive my promissory note to sign. I received the note in about 15 mins after the email. I wanted to lower my loan amount so I emailed MBE requesting them to lower the loan amount. Again like clockwork I received an email on the 3rd day asking me questions about my request. I responded and 2 days later I got the updated promissory note. 2 days later I got the email stating my note was received and funding would occur in 5-7 business days. Yesterday i got an email saying funds had been disbursed and I received my funds today! I must say after I got my approval from SBA I came across these reviews and I was worried that things wouldn't work out. I must say that my experience was excellent outside of the ball being dropped during the application review stage. I can say that this company ultimately did right by me and I'm hoping they'll open up the portal so that I can apply for the 2nd draw since they already have my file and documents. I applied for this loan and was approved which I am very grateful for. Unfortunately I have been waiting on a promissory letter for two weeks. I’ve reached out via email about not receiving this document and I still have not heard back from anyone. I have however received automated feed back stating my issue was resolved and still no one has contacted me via email or call.

PPP loan forgiveness website/portal has been down for months. I tried multiple times to get through to somebody but no replies. Then when I get through the forgiveness portal won't let me proceed and says "we could not find the specific tax id in our lender records". More emails and chat box inquiries but no replies back yet. Also an email on March 15 2021 is the last communication from them. It said they will get out PPP portal forgiveness soon and to look for email/link. Nothing. This is really bad. Huge problems.

Applied for a much needed PPP Loan. I was approved for one amount but received $12000 less than the promissory note offered. I was unable to get in touch with them prior to them dispersing the wrong funds into my account and now II am afraid to touch the money they gave me as well. I'm wondering if I'll be responsible for the money they approved that I never received I'm thinking about getting an attorney. Go anywhere else but here

I signed my promissory notes....sent them back on March 18th and got this last night. SBA approved the loans but the lender will not fund. Nobody is communicating with me, and this is an issue because now that these companies have SBA loan numbers assigned to them, I may not be able to apply anywhere else. PLEASE HELP!! UPDATE 04/07/2021 Chelsea emailed me and explained that you cannot apply with multiple companies under the same lender. I've researched this and many other lenders are saying the same thing. I wish it was communicated to me earlier in the process, but I can empathize with the challenges that these lenders have to navigate with continually changing rules and guidance.

MBE Capital Partners did a wonderful job helping my company to obtain the two PPP loans and then helping me through the loan forgiveness process. I couldn’t have ask for more support, excellent throughout. The loans were most needed and appreciated.

I am so happy that I was able to work with your company. I represent a minority run small nonprofit with women also in leadership positions. The bank that I use was not interested in me. I thought I could not get the funding that the Government wanted me to have to help me pay my employees. But one of my friends gave me information about your company and I was able to get funding twice. This was important for me because I did not lay-off my employees during the height of the pandemic. To do this, I did not take a salary. My bank worked with all of the big companies and your company work with me as I struggled to stay afloat. Peace. Dr. Christopher Coleman.

Do not use this finance company. Scores of businesses applied with them and than they go silent. They say they submit applications to SBA on their so called "portal". When you call the SBA, they say MBE Capital Partners is not telling the truth. They never submitted large numbers of applications even when they said they did. When you try to escalate and get a human being on the phone, they send you a canned email saying a senior manager will contact you in a few days. No one ever does. Three months and many emails and phone calls - you never hear from them. Rumor has it they are under investigation. From painful experience, stick to reputable and known financial services companies.

I would warn anyone away from working with MBE Capital. They do not answer phone calls, respond to any emails, or communicate through the portal. I had tried submitting an application in January. Due to poor communication, I asked for it to be withdrawn in February. They told me it was withdrawn in February, but never actually withdrew it. It is now May. They are not communicating at all, and I am unable to withdraw the application myself. Very poor business behavior. Please do yourself a favor and stay away.

MBE Capital was able to help me with my loan during the pandemic. They were great to work with, and the process was streamlined and user friendly. I would recommend them for future services.

We received our first round of PPP through MBE Capital and it went fine. Unfortunately this second round is not going well. After numerous unanswered calls, auto email responses, several tickets inquiries in their portal. Communication with MBE Capital has been very vague and unprofessional. Our loan has been approved since March 17, 2021 our statues with the SBA show Active, funds undispersed. Every inquiry attempt we make to the company they give us a response adding on 10 days to disperse funds. We still have not received our funds and no answers why... Can anyone help us with this please( Real Help) no auto response.

I applied with this company in January and although my application kept getting closed I received a promissory note last week. I woke up this morning to an email stating that they may need additional information and later today I got an email stating that my application has been denied. I have no idea on why I was declined after signing a promissory note, I’ve tried reaching out to a few contacts by email and hoping someone will let me know what’s going on because I can’t afford to lose my business over this. I know the company is overwhelmed with applications so I won’t bash the company. I’m just praying I get this resolved.

We got the first PPP loan very smoothly. However, trying to contact someone at the bank is extremely difficult because we did not get an invite for forgiveness. When I try to upload my information on their website they can not locate my ein number. I tried to apply for the second round of PPP and I had a significant loss in my business I was denied and said an application was submitted under my EIN number already. I contacted SBA and they said the bank should be able to explain to me in detail about the denial but they sent me a one sentence response and said we are not allowed to communicate with anyone at this bank that I need to follow up with SBA.

Was funded by this company the first round. Everything went smooth. This round has been horrible. Got emails saying I was declined on 2 separate occasions. Then got email saying needed to sign promisary note. However somehow this time they have my business name as something other than my name. My account wont accept the funds under another name. Im an independent contractor and my name is my business. Emailed through portal and info email but no response.
