Marine Credit Union (Eau Claire) Oakwood Hills Pkwy, Eau Claire

Avoid banking here. This credit union claims to be non profit but LOVES to tack unnecessary fees to your account with zero explanation. I highly suggest avoiding this credit union.

I have been a member for years. I have never had anything less than wonderful interactions with all the associates there. I have had many loans through Marine and they made it so easy. I have even had to be late a couple times. I called Deanna and let her know my difficulty and she was SO helpful and kind. Wendy is another stellar associate. I read another comment about the people at Marine feeling like friends and I completely agree. I recommended Marine to several people that were not happy with their banks and they are all happy as well with the service they receive at Marine.

Called them alot they answered all my questions. Gave me great advice to help build my credit. Felt much more than just my credit score would reccomend going through Marine credit union

I work with Kendall at the Eau Claire branch and she is the best!! I have been with them for a couple years now and I love them. I have no complaints at all. Highly recommend!

Horrible place. We're a month behind, I got shorted on my paycheck from work, and we told them when we'd pay the rest of it, and they have called on a daily basis for a week now. When we quit answering their calls, because how many ways can you say "you'll get your money when we get ours," and they called my work to tell me that we were behind, and when would we be paying? Every time we talk to someone they say they'll note the account, but then the next person will say there are no notes on the account. We're SO close to paying off this stupid loan, and I'll be so happy to never have to work with or talk to anyone at this establishment ever again. If someone says they'll pay you in 7 days, don't call every one of those days to ask when they'll be paying. Not a good business plan unless you really just hate your customers. Honestly if it let me give zero stars I would. Edit: we paid off our loan- but because we actually finished paying early they wanted to charge us more money. I get that they make money off of loans- but it just kind of irks me that even though we consistently paid more than the minimum payment they harassed us if we were even a couple days late, and then wanted more money when we'd payed back everything that we owed (plus interest.) In short- go nearly anywhere other than here and you'll be better off.

If I could give more stars, I would! The people at this branch are kind, genuine, and beyond helpful. My husband and I had been having a rough day- our vehicle broke down 6 hours from home, and we needed to remotely close on a property (with another lender!) This was our third stop, now confined to a 26ft U-Haul with our 2 dogs, as we drove around the city trying to find a notary. We were given a very warm welcome, including treats for us and our dogs! We can't even express just how grateful we are. It is a testament to the integrity and values of the company to have staff of this quality. We look forward to an opportunity to do business with them in the future. Thank you Joanne and Caitlin!

Hi! I am pleasantly surprised by such professional, friendly staff at Marine Credit Union. I was asked what brought me here and then learned quite a lot about the Credit Union and the Foundation. I’ll be telling more people about Marine!

Deanna Muchowicz was great to work with, other than that I don’t have many positive things to say. There’s a better chance of it hitting 80 degrees in February than getting a loan through Sarah V. She wouldn’t respond to any phone calls or emails over almost a month period. The banking app was terrible. I had plenty in my account and then all of a sudden I was in the negative. Surprise suprise the first person to call me immediately about it was Sarah V. But she couldn’t get back to me after countless attempts to get ahold her.

GREAT bank full of great people. They dont view you by your credit score and i have always felt that they were more like friends than bankers. I recomend them to everyone.

They like to say “yes” far from the truth. Oh and interest rates are higher than a car dealership even if you have good credit.
