Madison Trust is the BEST!!! Every time I call, the customer service rep that handles my call is able to resolve the issue without me having to be transferred several times and repeat my issue over and over. Today I spoke with Sidney J. She was great. She understood my problem. I had called after regular business hour and she contacted her supervisor for assistance and she was able to get the issue resolved immediately. Additionally, Sidney was professional and very friendly. Sidney, like all the other customer service reps are very well trained, friendly and understand the Madison Trust products, policy and procedure.

I had an issue today with a distribution that I needed to make. I called in to the Support team and Madelyn assisted me. She listened to my issue and proceeded to fix MY screw-up! When I see all the positive reviews, I can't believe I was dealing with the same customer service. One hand doesn't know what the other hand is doing. Provided bad information. I even been asked to find my own evaluation of precious metals in my account, when they provide me with a quarterly evaluation. I would look elsewhere if you want good service.

However, it does happen on rare occasions that we do drop the ball, and we apologize for that. We have recently implemented a new policy for the distribution of precious metals. As explained, you must open an individual account with Delaware Depository and provide us with the account number to proceed with the distribution. Or, if you choose not to move forward with this option, you may choose to liquidate your metals and perform a distribution of cash instead. One of our representatives contacted Delaware Depository on your behalf and then reached out to you to confirm the process. In general, we make every effort to explain the process simply and clearly to ensure a positive experience for every client. Based on your feedback, we will look to make improvements. This company has had weeks to transfer money for me but seem incapable of finishing the transaction - I have spent so much time on numerous emails, speaking with several staff members, getting different information from each one. This is the worst institution like this who I have ever worked with. I do not recommend them at all. Terrible service and questionable judgement.

I've been a client for 3 years. In that time my service has been satisfactory. However, quarterly fees have gone up almost 60% in that same span. They know that switching legacy IRA custodial services is prohibitively difficult, painstakingly manual, and expensive. Instead of attracting new clients with competitive fees and exceptional service, they are content to gouge existing clients with exorbitant fee increases. While this helps the top line revenue today, it's not a sustainable business practice or a sound strategy for future growth. Don't get stuck with Madison Trust. Demand more from your self directed IRA custodian.

I needed to set up a self-directed IRA for an investment I wanted to make. Madison Trust was recommended, and all has gone very well. They have done exactly what they agreed to do, and they are always responsive on the rare occasions that I need something. I would give them all five stars with two improvements. (1) In order to transfer funds to my bank account, I have to fill out a PDF and submit it to them via a "secure portal" that is separate from the website. I would prefer if the website supported that transaction for a logged in user. (2) At $75 per quarter, the fee seems a little high to me. I might be wrong about that, perhaps it's very competitive. I did not do a lot of comparison shopping. They were recommended; they seemed reputable; and they clearly are.

The team has been very supportive to complete a very complex task of opening a trust. Everyone has been helpful and patient while I go through a process that is new to me. One small complaint is that they rarely answer the phone. They do always call back, but waiting on a call back for time sensitive deals makes me a little nervous. Setting up a Trust is a multi step, multi organization process and has been confusing on my first go. But frankly, I continue to be pleasantly surprised by the depth of knowledge that each rep has about both the legal process and my next steps. I recently moved my self-directed IRA from a firm in Kentucky to Madison Trust. Talk about night and day! It was easy to set up my account and the process of transferring funds from Kentucky was easy. After the funds were received, I wanted to make two quick investments in real estate partnerships. Love this company. I transferred my Self Directed IRA's to this company and just completed my first investment with Madison. Double fast time in reviewing docs and approving funding of investments. First I sent docs in the evening. The next morning, docs were reviewed and I was informed of missing information. Again, I sent corrected docs in the following evening. i am not sure about this company. i have been with them for about 2 years. their fees are always going up and without explanation or telling you beforehand. in addition, i have been trying for over a week to call and get my distributions out. Calls go to voicemail and are not returned. emails go unanswered. when i log on the system says i have money in my account but i have yet to see it. Customer service needs lots of work in my opinion.

The lack of trust I have for this company should be a warning for everyone. I tried getting my investment in on a specific timeline and I was promised the transactions would be taken care of in a timely fashion. I was not allowed to close on a investment property on time thanks a lot!
It’s disappointing when friends and family members of an employee that was terminated (for cause) post fake reviews. We received seven such reviews within a five day span, and we are working with Google to have these reviews removed and these people blacklisted.

I was anxious because I was concerned that the funds will not be available to buy a rental property in a hot market. Samantha N. from Madison Trust was very helpful, patient and understanding. Tip to future SD-IRA customers: ensure to get the correct routing number for wires (maybe different from ACH) from your bank. Expeditious responses to service requests with security notifications of every move of your money. I uploaded conflicting service requests and I received a phone call to clarify what it was that I needed. After resolving the conflict, John asked whether I had any other questions about my account. It's good to know have an accessable support team handling your account.
