long overdue 5 star rating for this place. yes they have a great selection. yes their ammo prices are quite competitive. but what really sets this place above the rest are the people. Fantastic customer service and a welcoming environment that makes you feel at home. I wish more places were like this.

Walked into the store looking to pawn my 2 12 JL audio speakers in the original box in mint condition with less than 2 years use…. With all that in mind it’s worth about $450. A heavyset man with glasses came out to my car to make sure that they worked, which they did, and when I told him the value of the speakers (because he clearly didn’t know) he immediately low-balled me and offered me $100. I would understand more so if I was trying to sell this item, but I wasn’t, and even then it would be a low-ball price. I made it VERY clear that I would be back for them and did not want to sell. Went to a pawn shop right across the street and they actually took the time to look up the value of my item, after seeing that it was a high priced item they were surprised that all I wanted was $200, and gave it to me without hesitation…
We are very sorry we could not meet the loan you requested. We do not typically do car audio for this very reason. We are happy however that you were able to get the loan elsewhere. If there is any way we could earn back your business please feel free to stop back in anytime. Car audio does not do well in our area at least not in the last 5 years and so we usually just pass on it, however if persisted then we may sometimes make a "safe" offer on our end in case we end up getting stuck with the item. Especially with new pawners who do not have history with us. We do not intend to purposely "low-ball" anyone and did not mean to insult you with our offer. We hope you can find the time to change your review and give us another shot in the future with something other than car audio. Thank you.

Nice people! My first time in I found a midi controller for twenty bucks!! It was worn out looking.....it had stickers on the keys....yuck! But I scraped the stickers off and it cleaned up nicely!! I'll be back to Mad Dog Pawn!

I have to say this is one of the best pawn places I've ever been very friendly they gave me a very good deal on a generator. I saved over $400 compared to buying a new one. Considering this one was practically brand-new with no hours on it. I bought lots and lots of items on this place and have never been dissatisfied. The staff is phenomenal and friendly. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

I just picked up a beast of a gaming rig from Mad Dog Pawn! It's a family owned business, local to boot! Fantastic sons and Pa was the best! This pawn shop is really honest and reliable. I went to go in and sell some of my old flutes back from high school, and he gave me a fair price. When I went to go check the price with a music store, it was about the same. I would recommend going here because they won’t rip you off and are honest owners. Also, the shop has a dog. What more could you want? Thanks for not low balling me, definitely will be back if I ever need to sell anything!

BEWARE, does NOT offer the best price in Bradenton. Selling my gold jewelry and a watch. Decided to check a couple of pawn shops. Mad Dog was the worst, their offer was $400 less.

We ALWAYS strive to be the best price in town and generally make the best offers. Usually when you are selling an item we ask how much you are looking to receive before we make any offers. If you can please give us a little more information so that you may help us, it would be greatly appreciated. We don't try to give less than anyone else. We always try to buy jewelry at the most fair price to the customer. So again if you can PLEASE elaborate or give us a call and let us know it would be extremely helpful. We are sorry for your experience and would love to make it up to you to earn back your business. We are happy however that you secured a higher price for what you were selling. Just disappointed it wasn't from us.

Best customer service I’ve ever received a friendly and knowledgeable staff I love my Taurus model 1911 45 ACP went back and purchased a Ruger AR 556 two days later. Stop in and see for yourself, you will not be disappointed

Plenty of pawn shops around here! But are they a good pawn shop? I just started to spend my money 💰 with this pawn shop about a week ago and they seem to be fair about prices and have a nice store. I spent a good chunk of $$ on one of their many firearms and have to wait the 3 day period (which is no problem of course) so far they seem to be good, ill come back and finish the review after our deal is finalized

Called in looking for a nice used PlayStation 4, they answered an was more than kind to assist me, was able to find what I was looking for and sent my wife in to pick it up!
