Don't do it! -What a waste of time-I spent over 3 months in their loan approval process only because I am a small business owner. Asking for more and more documents and after providing everything they asked for they just fall off the edge of the earth and provide no communication or follow-through. Better to go to your local bank where they know you. I cancelled the process after my bank offered to do the refinance.

My experience with a home loan process with Home Depot has been great all thanks to Matt Bass. He made this process go as smooth has the circumstances could possibly allow. He answered all of my questions and even took the time to read through some of the digital paper work with me over the phone and explained it in simple terms. I would definitely recommend working with Matt at loan depot.

Run away as fast as you can! Dealt with for 3-1/2 months before they “finally” spoke with me about my loan, and then only to tell me we needed something else that same day or they were canceling the loan! All the other negative reviews state the exact nature of how they do business. I will be following up with every financial reporting agency I know to make sure EVERYONE knows what a rip off organization they are. Do yourself a favor, AND RUN!

Company will not admit nor notify of their mistakes. They did not pay my property taxes to the county after collecting a year's worth of escrow. And will not come clean about it nor refund my money. I've been trying to correct/resolve this issue for four months now, via phone, calls, emails and their online messaging system. They also improperly processed my veterans tax exemption serveral times after being provided all nessasary approval paperwork and raised my to unjustifiable mortgage rates this pandemic. It has a nightmare trying to fix all of these problems. I do not recommend this company. Save your time, money, energy and sanity and choose a different mortgage company.

Christie was excellent to work with! I felt she really helped me make the right decision between the different mortgage products.

I had looked at some options for mortgages online, wasn’t looking to apply, just wanted to see what different rates existed. Called me at work, 5 times, before I was able to pick up. When I finally did, I told them I wasn’t interested at the moment, they didn’t say a word and hung up on me. Incredibly rude, if I could give less stars, I would.

Currently in process of a refi with them. Just sent the email letting them know if this is not handled ASAP we are cancelling the loan. Started this process June 1, it is now Aug 17. First person handling it up and quit, but no one picked it up, just left us hanging. Then it’s been one thing after another after another of stumbles. We’ve made 2 mortgage payments plus paid our homeowners insurance Aug 2 for the 2021/2022 year yet our paperwork still reflects the same pay off for the home as it did on the initial paperwork and collecting of a year, plus 4 months of HOI. I keep getting told oh we’ll update that at closing. Well a week ago, we signed the paperwork and just were called today to let us know that more paperwork needs to be signed because they failed to have us have a witness present (husband and I had to sign from 2 different states) other than the notary. Over a week since my husband signed and we’re just now being told this. We’ll basically end up making yet another mortgage payment before they get their act together and actually pay this loan off. This is insane given it’s a refi of a house with more than 80% equity. I couldn’t imagine going through this process for the purchase of a home. Holy moly.

I've been working with this company for over 3 months still no confirmation on closing date and I just got a notification today they are doubling my origination costs. Don't need to refinance that badly! I agree with most of the others on here save the headache go somewhere eles.

It took 3 months for us to get near a closing date, and both times I had a closing date, it was canceled an hour before with no explanation. 5 days after that, the loan officer informed me that I would need an additional $7700 before we could close. This was never mentioned in the entire 3 months. The loan officer was very friendly on the phone but was extremely disorganized and said something different every time I heard from her. Communication
