I had the worst experience I've ever had with a mortgage loan company. I first spoke with Jonathan Dominguez. I was very clear with him that our situation is not the norm - we have a very low loan to value mortgage - and therefore a conventional load would not work for us. I also said that my rule of thumb for costs is this: I need to break even in two years or less. He assured me that he had a program which would accomplish my goals. I spent 30 - 45 minutes with him filling out the application and he pulled my credit. When he called back he laid out his proposal which involved me taking additional money out for the loan. He did not present any costs, but the numbers did not add up to me. I asked him about costs ... Then he told me the cost for the loan (about 5% of my existing load balance). Those costs are equal to the total amount of interest I have yet to pay on my loan. I said no. His reply made me think I was in a car dealership - "What would I have to do to get you to agree to the loan tonight?". I said no costs. He said he'd take it to his manager (sounds like a car dealership right?). The manager offered to remove the appraisal fee (on a loan to value of < 20%). Wow! What a bargain ... NOT! I said no. I have been hounded for the last two weeks with 2 -3 phone calls a day. Sam Edam told me last Saturday that he would put me in the Do Not Call List. I just got off the phone with Victoria Sharpe. She neglected to tell me that we were on a recorded line until we were a couple of minutes into the call. She also said that she will put me on the Do Not Call list. Don't walk, but RUN away from doing business with this unscrupulous lender.

Working with loanDepot was an excellent experience. We refinanced with them for the first time and would recommend to all. They provided good rates with low closing costs. No other lender could match the APR offered by loanDepot. Their entire loan process was very smooth and extremely quick. Working at their portal for uploading documents was very smooth. The portal also provided the latest update where the process stands. Alanna Fleming, Senior Accounts Manager is too efficient and very quick in responding.

James was very persistent and letting me know that he would do his best to get the right rate for me. He let me know that given the current interest rate that it cost more the lower it goes. He let me know how much I would be saving monthly on interest and yearly. He suggested I look at the estimate for both rates and rate them against another company. I looked into another company and hand down Loan Depot was a better loan for me. I asked him to be patient with me and he was there when I called him back. I will definitely suggest him and Loan Depot to friends and family.

My experience with loan depot has been nothing short of amazing. Yasin was quick to reply to me, had amazing customer service and was very honest in his dealings with me. I referred two other people to him because I enjoyed working with him so much. I’ve refinanced before with other companies and this is by far the easiest company I’ve dealt with and the BEST! Thank you all!

Acted upon good information in a quick manner. They were able to beat all other loan companies and closed almost immediately. It was surprising to me, because I looked at ratings that all of the companies had. There were a couple of people upset that LoanDepot could not close. This was NOT my experience. They put everything together and closed in record time. I had previous loan with Rocket and liked them very much... however, it took over a month to close when I had a ton of equity I put up. LoanDepot was less than half of that. Very satisfied.

Eddie was extremely personable and made me want to give him my business. It helped that LoanDepot was able to match a lower interest rate from a different lender and waive all closing costs via lender credits. Very grateful to have obtained the loan that we did with LoanDepot. My wife and I are now set for 30 years at an awesome low rate for the first time ever.

Kim Shoup gives outstanding, exceptional, beyond expectation customer service. I am a repeat customer, and will always come back to loan depot because of Kim Shoup.

Brain Ramos was great to work with. This was our second refinance in a year through him and there's a reason we came back. He's honest and we know he cares about us as customers. He spends whatever time necessary to help customers understand everything about the lending process. Never rushed and never pushy. Overall we're very satisfied.

Horrible loan processing time, I was promised to get my loan refinance closed in 30 to 45 days. I understand due to recent low rates in market, loan depot folks were busy ! It took 121 days for them to get my loan closed after following up with them for approximately 43 times. The initial loan officer (Rohan S) was better at least he used to respond after sometime, whereas the Sr Account Manager(Makenna D) was horrible and not even once reached out proactively to update or check on my loan status and never picks her phone when called or reverts back to voice mail. You would only receive a call from her when you escalate via customer care call center.

I highly recommend working with Ms. Lili Khashe at Loan Depot. She was able to swiftly gather all the necessary documents on the efficient Loan Depot platform. Her rates beat all other industry leaders. She closed two loans, a purchase and a refinance in under 10 days. She even worked on Labor Day to expedite my loans. Lili Khashe is a true asset to Loan Depot.

The experience with Ashley P. and Brenden L. were the only things that Loan Depot did well. They had great customer service and were very helpful and professional. Ashley (Senior Account Manager) was only put in place after I had to escalate past first level manager. Had to turn to Brenden (Lending Officer) who had nothing to do with final paperwork to get someone to talk to me. We were already talking to Quicken and starting the refi process over. Ethan L. (Loan Processor) and Maria H. (Processing Mngr) are very bad representatives for customer service and for Loan Depot. Will not use or recommend Loan Depot in the future because of the terrible experience with them. I was constantly ignored, blown off, and lied too for months. Instead of a 45 to 60 day refi, as promised, it took almost 6 months due to the incompetence of Ethan and lack of caring or oversight of his manager, Maria. Recommend using a different company for mortgage services.
