Where to begin??? I never imagined or even believed I would get a home. I'm the first of my generation to get my own home. The collective effort that Mr.Berkley and Mrs. Brawner provided as a relentless team in making my dreams come true! They made the process easy and they were patient with every problem I had. Their persistent and willingness to work with me showed throughout the whole process! Document uploads were very easy, they educated me and prepared me for the closing was super simple! I originally reached out to LightPoint Mortgage because they were a local Kentucky-based company. The service I received was second-to-none. My initial call was answered by the managing principal, Jason. From there, I was in great hands the whole way through. Though I had bought a home a few times before, Jason gave me a lot pointers that helped me secure a much lower interest rate and provide the best financial package possible. I had some crazy stuff come up during my loan process, and LightPoint handled it all without missing a blink. I was also trying to sell my home at the same time. The person buying my home was working with a local credit union and that was a disaster. My realtor asked for LightPoint's information and plans to recommend them to her clients in the future. I cannot recommend enough.

Not only did Jason and Blair do an excellent job! They made the financing the easiest part of buying my first home and dream house. I am in ky and about 2 hours from Louisville and have never met either of them but I would refer them to anyone. Even if your on the other side of the state. Don't hesitate to use Light Point Mortgage if your on the fence about who to use. They are the best!

David Brewer was extremely helpful finding a competitive rate for my refinance in the middle of the pandemic. He is extremely responsive AND knowledageable. I would definitely work with him again. LightPoint handled everything smoothly and all services were via phone or online except for the appraisal and closing. The closing was at my house, outside - convenient and safe.

What can I say about Jason and Blaire at Lightpoint Mortgage. They were exceptional, from the beginning of the loan process to closing. It took less than 30 days and they were able to get us a much lower interest rate than our credit union, where we have been members for over 30 years. I enjoyed working with Jason and Blaire so much, I referred my son to them, whom they assisted with a mortgage refi. Great results, great team and will use them again.

Jason and Blaire were both amazing to work with. Jason did my original refi after my divorce and made the process super easy during a rough time. Then he helped me refinance when rates got lower and I needed to lower credit card debts. Always communicated well! Blaire was also helpful and knowledgeable along the way. Highly recommend!

This review is relevant for anyone who may be refinancing as part of a divorce, or for anyone seeking a mortgage in Florida (Lightpoint is based in KY but licensed in KY and FL). I did get a good rate, but I could have gotten a good rate from many other companies, given the low interest rates and my good credit. I have 3 main reasons for my 1-star review. 1) The loan processor (Crystal) mailed my closing disclosure with my private financial information to my ex-spouse who was not supposed to receive it. I actually questioned her about why she was wanting to send him my closing disclosure when she asked me for his email address, and she apologized and stated that I was correct that he should not receive it, but she mailed it anyway. Even if she had mailed it before realizing her mistake, she could have gone through a process with the post office to retrieve the mail, but this did not happen. When I talked about this with the company manager, Jason, he apologized that this had happened, stated that my situation had been different from the types of situations that they normally work with, and stated that it was something he needed to train his staff better on. I have no idea how that training will take place or what it will look like, and I see no information about refinancing after a divorce on their website, so I would advise anybody refinancing after or as part of a divorce to seek out a company that is trained in understanding how to protect your private financial information. 2) The same loan processor (Crystal) told me that all I would need at closing would be my ID. At the last minute, I found out from the notary that because there was a quit claim deed being signed as part of the closing (again due to the divorce), I would also need a witness, so I had to scramble last-minute to get a witness to come to my home for the closing. When I spoke with Jason (company manager) about this, he stated that he was unaware of situations at closings where witnesses would be necessary and that some of the laws must be different in Florida. Again, this seems related to the company not knowing how to properly manage Florida divorce refinance situations. 3) My loan originator (David) emailed me specifically requesting a 5 star review and linking me to this page. When I talked to company manager Jason about this, he told me that the company generally only emails clients asking for reviews and linking them to the page when they think they've had a good experience. I understand that this may be a common business practice, but it's also unethical and against Google policy to selectively solicit positive reviews from customers. When I told Jason this, he thanked me for the feedback and stated that he had instructed his employees to remove the verbiage from their requests that specifically asks for 5-star reviews. Anybody reading the reviews should be aware that, if in fact he has actually changed this policy, it was only changed in October 2021. I would like to state that Jason has said he will take all of my feedback into consideration, but I feel it's important to post this review, because other people refinancing after a divorce need to know to tread very carefully if they choose this company and to have a conversation ahead of time to make sure that their private financial information is kept protected and not mailed to people who should not receive it.
