Liberty Savings Bank Stickney Point Rd, Sarasota

I opened an account with this bank because they had good interest rates on checking accounts. I have, to this date, never once used my card, or written a check from the account. A year after opening the account, it was compromised and over drafted. They did refund those fees and reversed the fraud. There were, apparently, dormancy fees as well, and their own fees have now over drafted the account by a dollar. I have, in effect, lost money using this institution. When I called to get my account closed, the customer service representative hung up on me. Do not use this "bank." They've lost my personal information, and now cost me, effectively, $31 for the pleasure of having a high interest checking account.

Gary MacDonald and Tom were terrific helping me open my accounts at Liberty Savings Bank and took their time to explain answers to all of my questions. I am very happy I was referred to this bank!

The staff was very welcoming and the manager, Gary MacDonald, was extremely helpful! He made suggestions and made sure that all of my husband, John and my questions were answered thoroughly. He made the experience of opening an account and credit card easy and enjoyable.

Don't waste your time or money in this scam of a bank. They advertised free checking until your bank account goes dormant. Even if you have money in it. Once that happens they charge you $15 a month for their so-called free checking until they eat up the money in your account and then they start charging you overdraft fees. No phone calls no text messages no emails nothing. The only financial institution that I know you need an appointment to enter the lobby. Totally useless

I received an email from this bank probably about twice a week soliciting my business so I finally decided to change banks and this one is convenient to me as well as the free checking bait and switch. Whatever you do . Don’t open an account With this bank. It took me almost a full month to receive my atm card. And when I did receive it , they locked my account two times in a 24 hour period . On a holiday weeekend and they don’t have a 24 hour customer service. No one apologizes, or admits faults. And to top it all off ?$300 daily limit to pull cash and they charge me 2$ for every foreign atm I use. On top of the monthly fee. This changing accounts to “save time and money “ has been the biggest mistake and scam I’ve made in a longtime financially. Beware. Grifters

It isn’t a good thing when you go to walk in and open an account with this bank that a client is upset about their account. She said the bank was calling her a liar and they were talking bad about her. She was visibly upset and said this is the worst bank I’ve ever branched with. Word of mouth goes a long way in this business. I didn’t even go in and left. Good luck getting customers with that kind of reputation.

Staff is always very helpful in satisfying all my needs. Several times I needed assistance from Gary the manager and he went out of his way to always help me out. These days it is so difficult to find any business that you can even get ahold of on the phone, let alone satisfy their customers the way this personal service bank branch does.. Liberty is a rare treat. Thank you..

We went to open a business checking account. We pre sent the info that was needed. We made a in house appt when all the info was received. We went into the bank and meet with Amy Bliesner who handled our transaction. She was very helpful and helped us open the account with no problems and we were on our way in no time. Also Susan Ross has helped us in the past and is very knowledgeable and helpful. Anytime we interact with anyone at this branch has been a great experience. Everyone is so nice and helpful. Thanks everyone.
