My Audi Q7 TDI, had some issues which were common considering the mileage. I went to the Audi dealer and they wanted an astronomical amount of $$$$ to fix a very minor problem. I decided to go to Encore Motors for the repair, from the moment I scheduled to my arrival there was proper communication. Charles the service manager, took great care of vehicle and everything completed with-in 2 hours at half the price $$ of the dealer, cleaned and ready to go . Additionally, now my Mercedes will be serviced by Encore Motors. Many thanks to Charles and everyone at Encore Motors.

My wife and I purchased a 2015 Jeep Wrangler from John Steinhauser a week ago. Encore motorcars Is definitely the place to go for any high end used vehicles. Our experience was hands-down the best customer service experience we have ever had. So many people have probably their worst experience in customer service buying a car. Let’s face it can be A very stressful experience. From there first phone call all the way through to the day we picked up our vehicle we were treated like family. I drove from Texas to Sarasota Florida to have my convertible top fixed. I was very satisfied with the service. They fixed the top, replaced transmission mounts and fixed two oil leaks. I can’t say enough about the service. I would highly recommend Encore. Their service is far superior to any and they have competitive prices. Thank you so much!

I am really disappointed on the service that I was given Mr. David was supposed to call me back and I’m still waiting for his call I call him and he I was told that he was on his day off someone else answer the phone and say that everything looks pretty good and that David was going to contact me the next day and he never did. I was told to do the online application even though I was already preapproved by capital One. They ran my credit a couple times for nothing because they never called me back.

Wow! I am blown away by the service I received from Encore Motorcars! I communicated directly with Robert, who is practically a saint. I purchased a Maserati from Carvana and Carvana kept delaying my delivery date 6 times. Carvana is a horrible company to work with ... never again and lesson learned. Each time they changed the delivery date, I asked Robert to reschedule the "pre"-purchase inspection. I felt horrible being such a pain, but Robert was so understanding and helpful and rescheduled each time without a problem. I cancelled my order with Carvana once they delayed delivery a 7th time and ended up buying a different Maserati and brought it in for annual service and inspection. Robert and the team were incredibly helpful, punctual, explained everything they did and I was in and out in a couple of hours with a full inspection, oil and filter change, and annual service. The cost was very reasonable and I had a wonderful experience. Thank you Robert for your willingness to work with me through the Carvana nightmare and for taking care of me! Very grateful to the team and I feel fortunate to have found such a great business. Will definitely keep coming back for all my service needs.

Working with Chris Jett was easy and the process of purchasing was seamless. Being an out of state buyer came with minor adjustments due to out of state financing. Initially planned to have our 2011 Lexus IS350C with less than 24k miles shipped but decided to fly to Sarasota pick it up and drive back to GA. The process was quick and efficient. We were satisfied with the representation of the condition upon arriving the vehicle condition looked as pictures described and mileage checked out. We look forward to years of enjoyment from this beauty. WARNING, WARNING, WARNING!!!! They sell flood cars without telling you!!!!! I purchased a 2014, Mercedes Benz GL450 with 40K miles from Encore Autos, Sarasota, FL on 10/24/2018. WHICH HAS BEEN A DISASTER!!! ENCORE AUTOS IS A GREEDY, DECEITFUL, UNTRUSTWORTHY DEALERSHIP!!!!!!!! Encore sold it to me as a clean titled car but I have found out that “someone” changed the title from a salvage/flood car to a clean title (which is illegal). Before purchase I received a clean title, car fax and service record history. While driving the car back to MN for the Holidays, Brian Wolf and I had serious electrical issues with the car and struggled to get it to MN. I immediately brought the car to Feldmann Mercedes Benz in BLOOMINGTON, MN (the best dealership I’ve ever dealt with) to be checked out.... and it is still there! MB tore the car apart down to the exterior walls & found WATER throughout the bottom pan of the car where the main “Brain” wiring harness lays. The wiring harness is corroded and shorting out. The repair estimate is 18K and I will have a salvaged car title then. We called Encore Autos and told them what was wrong. They have completely denied any responsibility and will not make this right and refund the 40 Grand I paid for the car in addition to all the other expenses and lack of having a car. My auto Ins has denied my request for a claim, and I don’t blame them because they proved that this water damage happened WAY before I purchased the car. I have driven it about 4,500 miles and we have NOT had any significant rain since my ownership. The car was traded-in to Mercedes Benz of Daytona Beach shortly before I purchased it. I found out while digging into this, that MB sold it to Mannheim Auto Auction who sold it to Encore motors. Encore Autos has been sleazy, greedy, deceitful and untrustworthy to me. I purchased in good faith with cash. I strongly recommend that you DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THEM! I am forced to take them to civil court under the Florida Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act.

ENCORE IS THE ANSWER for auto repairs! I contacted Encore after getting a costly estimate from the auto dealer I have used frequently. The woman who answered the phone was so professional and friendly and the assistant service manager, Robert McGucken, returned my voicemail immediately. He provided an estimate within 15 minutes that was 30% less than the dealer estimate. I was appalled that the dealer would charge $1376.38 more for the SAME work. I have since learned that Encore has an amazing reputation and I can see why. I will refer all my friends to Encore and will only use them in the future. It's good to know that you can get great service at a great price from really good people.

These guys are the only ones that have made my car run like a top! I have a super beetle, a really different diesel motor in it? It now runs better than it did after being at 2 different dealerships- I won’t take it anywhere else again

There are very few Auto shops in town that can even get close to Encore! Their service is incredible and accurate. They actually go up, above and beyond what may be needed and take the time to explain everything to you, so you, the customer, can make a informed decision. Charles and Robert in Service are the best in the business. Not only do they handle the entire service department, they are also a small bit of a concierge service. My wife and I travel back and forth from Boulder, CO to our Condo in downtown SRQ, and they have been an incredible world of help when it comes to servicing our older Porsche! If you are looking to buy a vehicle or service your vehicle, you will not be disappointed working with Encore Motorcars!!! IMO, they are the best SRQ has to offer!!

Great experience. This was our first time buying a used car. Did all of our research online and found the car at encore motors John Steinhauser, the salesman, gave us the information over the phone and had the car ready for us the next day. We drove 1 1/2 hrs to Sarasota. He went out of his way to ensure we were well informed and delighted before as well as for days after the purchase of the car. We love the car! The business office made the transaction very smooth and were extremely accommodating.

Great dealership...From the first response back to me inquiring about a 2012 Maserati, to how they handled the delivery, and me trading a car in from 900 miles away was first class. Russell Lee was great start to finish, he handled everything quickly that I threw at him. Russell sent me several personal videos highlighting any minor paint defects and overall condition..To one of my requests of asking him to measuring brake pads and life expectancy was done with honesty. Car was delivered to me sight unseen to my house and wow was I impressed. Car was better than described. I would highly recommend Russell to anyone looking to buy a quality car. Salesman very nice and very helpful. Probably went out of his way to help as I was 800 miles away. John arranged the transport to my house. Everything went smoothly. The salesman John Steinhauser was the very best salesman I have ever dealt with. I've been buying vehicles for 50 plus years. Even worked at a dealership for 12 years. Not only did he get me a good deal. But he made up for the missing items I wanted. Found an owners manual and papers but personally test drove the car to check the tires. John took time to contact me after it was delivered to check to see if everything was okay. If I ever talk to anyone wanting an exotic or rare vehicle I would surely recommend John Steinhauser and Encore Motorcars.

I saw a vehicle (a BMW) on autotrader.com, called Encore and was quickly emailed with a response. I indicated an interest in seeing the vehicle and test driving it and was invited to do so that afternoon by Chris Jett, who said he would be available when I arrived. I told Chris that I didn't want to "play games", that what I wanted was a fair appraisal for my trade in and a reasonable price for the vehicle I was interested in. It was a non-stressful discussion and I received a quick and positive response on both issues. I bought the vehicle and am very pleased with the professional manner in which the transaction took place. One of the reasons I was willing to drive from Tampa (where they do sell BMW's) to Sarasota was the dealership rating and, trust me on this because I don't make recommendations like this often, this dealership has "CLASS" written all over it - location, personnel and quality of available vehicles . Bottom line: you can't go wrong if you want a quality used vehicle and if you give Encore (and Chris, of course) an opportunity to serve your need.

Encore had a great selection of cars for me to look at through my Mini Cooper search. Fell in love with a beautifully fully loaded Mini Cooper that John personally selected for me based on my taste. Although it was out of my price range they worked with me enough to make my dream car a reality. Their prices are great to begin with. The only thing I thought was odd is the car didn’t come with a full tank of gas when I bought it, but that’s insignificant compared to the awesome deal I got. Recommended for sure 👍🏻

We had a very pleasant purchase experience with John Steinhauser and I give him 5 stars. He is a very nice and honest person. I bought a Mercedes GLE350 hybrid and love the car. The only negative with this dealership is they don’t seem to really prep their cars well. Everything is “as is” and I can understand that but..... not having a second key fob should be a must and giving at least a half a tank of gas would be very appropriate. I do not like having a sales rep that has to go back to the office every time you are negotiating an item. I have not bought directly at a dealership in 10 years as the last 3 cars were all online purchases. I would go back to John and probably will next year for another replacement car for my wife, but the dealership could make this a more pleasant experience.

Brought home my car Saturday. Had it for a few days. My experience was fantastic. I cant say enough good things. We have previously bought cars from Off lease only and liked the no sales approach. But this was similar if not better. No "how much do you want your payment game" . I appreciate that. Financing was just as smooth and informative. John was our sales person. He has been there 11 years. He was great. I would return to buy another car. THe only negative for me was the drive there as we are an hour away. Found the car on Copilot !

I Bought a used car from Encore. As an out of state buyer, I was a very anxious and hesitant buyer. John Steinhauser made the process simple, easy and accommodating. The car was in showroom condition, clean in and out, the independent mechanic I had evaluate the car gave me thumbs up all around. I flew into Sarasota to test drive, the Uber driver picking me up at the airport, asked me where I was going and when I told him I was going to Encore Motors, he said to me "I know about Encore. They are very good"! Had good vibes even before I entered Encore.

We just purchased an SUV. We were assisted by John Steinhauser and he has been helpful every step of the way. Look for him when you go there. The dealership itself has a plethora of high end cars, from Maserati, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Range Rover, Mini and others. There is even a classic Chevy Nova (don't know what year) at the showroom in pristine condition. Overall, this has been the smoothest and most hassle free car buying experience I have ever dealt with.

I worked with Dan Lussier and he was very professional, always informative, and most importantly, patient. I was in contact with him for several weeks discussing the potential sale of a specific vehicle and he was always very pleasant while thoroughly answering my questions. They are a full service shop from test drive to continuing care for your automobile by trained, competent mechanics. Drive in and see for yourself- they are not your typical pre-owned car store. we love our "new" E300.

I had my Porsche in for service after another shop could not correct an issue and WOW what a mistake. The service advisor is rude and thinks he is smarter than you. While there, I also received a vehicle trade appraisal, and again their sales staff was also rude, arrogant, and pushy. As an African american, I felt extremely un welcomed here. I will take my business to elsewhere and let it be known to our community how you treat others.

Superior service. Robert and J.V. are knowledgeable, professional and really care about your car. They do what no other company has been able to do (including Mercedes Benz) to keep my ‘85 380sl Mercedes in peak condition. I take the all the family cars there and have never been disappointed. Their rates are reasonable and the work is quality through and through.

I had a great experience dealing with Encore. They gave me a very fair price on my trade and the whole experience was smooth. Not sure if this is the norm but they let me take the car I was considering home (100 mi) so my wife could see it. I don't have the last names but dealt with John the salesman and John the finance guy. I would recommend this dealer but as we all know...do your homework before buying anything.

Besides having bought a Benz at Encore several years ago, they are one of the few repair shops that can repair Jags properly. Service is excellent and prices are fair. When I sold my Benz 5 years later, I received a trade-in price that was equal to price I paid at Encore. Highly recommend.

I visit Encore generally once a year for maintenance of my ML350 for at least 5-6 years. I trust Robert in the services dept when he tells me what needs to be repaired, and that he will not tell me to pay for something I do not need. And very reasonable prices for service comparing to Merc dealers.

Lots of lying! Especially from the guy named John over there, I bought a car from this place a few month ago, and a few months later the engine blew, I maintain all of my cars, he told me it had no issues or problems and apparently they clean the engine bay from top to bottom on all of their cars, with a pressure washer to make the engines look like they are in good condition with no problems, they won’t do anything about the car now and I’m stuck with a finance!

My initial experience with the Scott Rogers went well and he provided the information I needed to make the purchase of my dream car. Obviously I had some reservations about buying a car without having actually seeing it. They clearly had experience in these kind of transactions. The first day of driving my new to me car the engine locked up due to lack of oil. As part of our deal I wanted to make sure all of the service was done and that the car had new tires which Scott had provided. This happened on September 27th and I notified Scott about the problem and that is when the finger pointing started. Encore motorcars couldn't get away from the car fast enough. They just ensured me in writing that the car had been serviced and was "ready to go". Encore Motorcars apparently doesn't have a procedure to check vehicles out. A "check list" to make sure the car is truly ready for the new buyer. It had been serviced by a Dodge dealer in Florida and they only put 5 quarts of oil in the vehicle, it holds 11. To Chrysler's credit they did installed a brand new complete motor and I received the car back on December 20th. I notified Scott on November 26th that I still didn't have my car back, still wasn't satisfied that they hadn't stood behind the their promises and asked that they give my money back. No response. I never got a vehicle to drive while this one was being worked on, no compensation to reimburse me for my expenses and loss of use. Nothing. I really hate using a form like this against companies. We all have problems that don't need to be aired like this. They didn't give me a choice. I didn't buy the vehicle from the dodge dealer I bought it from them. They completely passed if off as someone else's problem. I am posting this late to make sure I'm not doing it out of anger. However, I am still frustrated and hurt. I saved, put kids through college and finally splurged to buy my dream car. I am really disturbed that Encore Motorcars has done absolutely nothing to make it right.

Absolutely profesional from taking the appointment to following through on promises. We have a 36 year old Mercedes and they’ve been amazing with the care and maintenance of our vehicle. Always at or below estimate for repairs and done right. I trust them more than I have any dealer I’ve used. I can’t say enough great things about them. Trust. Number one!

We recently purchased a car from Encore. We were there on a Sunday and knew which vehicle we were interested in. The dealership was very busy, but we never felt ignored. John Steinhauser was our sales person. He brought us the keys to take the car for a test drive. He was never high pressure - this place has the luxury of letting the vehicles sell themselves. All the cars on the lot are way above average in terms of looks and with low mileage, however, the pricing is amazing for the quality!!! We wanted to purchase the vehicle, and the entire process, from the time we got there until we left (with the car!! :)) was about two and half hours. Very fast! The bumper needed a little touch up but the only day that could be done was on a day we were not available to take the car in. John went way over above and beyond to help us out - getting the car back for the repair. I could not believe the service we got from him!!! I have purchased several vehicles and this was by far the best experience I have had. I highly recommend John and Encore Motorcars of Sarasota.

They made a nice deal & then AFTER it was set, they felt the car needed a new AC compressor, and they installed one .....no charge to me. I’ve bought two cars from Encore and have been very satisfied. I recently had an issue with my car overheating and Rob in the service department referred a towing company to me and got my car in right away. My longtime mechanic who I’ve trusted forever is now out of business so I was wary bringing my car to someone else but I was pleasantly surprised they didn’t try to add in a bunch of unnecessary services even when I asked for them to check if I was due for any services. They could have easily tacked on an oil change and more but they didn’t because they told me it wasn’t necessary yet. I will feel very comfortable using their service department in the future and recommending to friends and clients. JV was also very helpful. Thank you!!

We went to see a car they had on their lot. John helped us look at the car. He was very professional and personable. We told him we just wanted to look at it. He offered for us to take a test drive we declined as we just wanted to look at the car. John continued to hang out with us as we looked at the car despite the opportunity for a sale taking place being low. When we went to leave, John thanked us for coming, gave us his card and told us to call if we had any questions to call. By the book this is how a interaction with potential buyers just browsing should go.

I Brought my Lexus in for routine maintenance and to check a couple of things out. Easy scheduling and check in. Very reasonable pricing! I own a out of state repair shop and you are always better off going to a solid, well reviewed, independent shop that earns it's business through good work and referrals. They have 2 master mechanics and you don't leave with that "I just got taken by the dealer" feeling. A very good local place for service and the cars for sale are among the best around.

My first time buying a vehicle online, sight unseen, and transported to a different state. From beginning to end it was a great experience. We have been using this organization for the last three years for both of our Mercedes SUV's and Bob in service is terrific. He is honest and tells you truthfully exactly what he feels you should have done to maintain your vehicle is perfect condition. On our last service B, he didn't replace the wipers as they were preforming fine and my gut feeling is that most places would have just replaced everything and not been so forthright.

Bad salesmanship, sold a car a friend wanted to buy but never took her details so she lost it. Some of the vehicles had some sketchy details. Did meet a very satisfied customer who raved about the car and service.

Our Mercedes was in for a big oil leak that required the entire motor to be removed from the vehicle. The guys at Encore did a great job. We would definitely return to have future services done at Encore. The sales manager Scott kept in communication every step of they way and the technician JV was very smart and helpful in pointing out problems that our normal Mercedes dealer did not even catch. The follow up service was also excellent.
