I don't know what went wrong with other people's experience. I've been with Lakeview since 2018 when I bought my house. I just refinanced and it went amazing. From the time I contacted and submitted the application for refinance, to closing, was maybe 6 weeks. I was shocked. I've never had an issue with them and am glad I chose to stay with them for my refinance. Michael Rosen was who I worked with for the refinance and he was as nice as could be and made the whole process quick and stress free

Do not let this company hold your mortgage! I have been trying to reach a live person for over 3 months! They send automated messages about "dedicated specialist" you will never speak to a real person. Hoping I can help you before you decide - I am not even fully sure this is a real mortgage company. The service is HORRIBLE - prepare for anxiety and stress over the course of your loan. And watch below for their automated message even to this. Seriously, I never write reviews - but I hope I can help another unsuspecting home owner.

We refinanced with LLS and had a great experience. Their initial interest rate was higher than other offers, but they matched the other company we were considering and were so easy to work with throughout the process. Our refinance was completed in a few weeks (any delays were on my end, not theirs) The team was very professional and helpful!

I have no clue why there rating is so low. I can tell you I started my refi early January and closed late January. John Rush helped me with any questions called and reminded me of signatures needed to keep the loan process moving.. Everyone I spoke with was polite and professional.

This had been a really bad experience, my wife tried to refinance our home and company completely stopped communication with us. We have left voicemails and emails. They didn’t even call us once we got our appraisal it’s been two weeks now and our information was updated.

Do not use this company ! I have been waiting on a supervisor to call me for 3 months ! All they do is bounce you around and lie ! They maxed up my tax information which i had to get correct and they owe me a refund that clearly they don’t want to give me back ! I have called multiple times i hace spoken with their escalations teams multiple times and every time i ask for a supervisor they state that a supervisor will call me back within 48 hours and it never happens ! They are an awful company to deal with , I wish i could give them a 0 !

I refinanced with this company thinking they would be a wise choice with it being a larger company. From the start, they were abrupt when I asked questions about the type of loan and options I had. I dealt with several different people through the process. When I have called to ask questions about anything they are condescending and give short answers like I am wasting their time. Very poor customer service.

This is the worst bank I have ever had to deal with so I hope others find an alternative. Nothing but headaches and wasted time on the phone because many of their employees lack of training and mistakes - lost a low interest rate and my mortgage went up to an unmanageable amount. Mortgages are supposed to go DOWN - NOT UP!!

Communication is poor, process to complete a refinance is trash for the customer but quick for them. They are focused on the deal and not actual strategy for the customer. If they contact you to refinance - RUN.

I refinanced with Lakeview and just closed recently. Overall they were very informative about the process and answered all my questions in a timely manner. The process took slightly longer than I hoped, but that was mostly because of strict FHA requirements with documentation and Lakeview representatives were able to help me resolve those issues.

If at all possible DO NOT refinance with this company. I foolishly thought it might be easier and quicker to use the same company that was already servicing my mortgage. We finally closed one week shy of FIVE MONTHS and virtually every single delay was their fault. Their customer service is horrible. After your initial application do not expect to reach anyone by phone. Our loan officer's voicemail actually stated he does not return voicemails and the best way to reach him was by email, but he very rarely responded. Our first loan processor had to be taken off after three months due to incompetence but even after she was replaced it was still over a month before we finally closed. Because it took so long, we had multiple hard inquiries on our credit and at one point had to show proof that the inquiries were being made by Lakeview because they saw the number of inquiries on our report and assumed we were opening credit elsewhere. They asked for the same documents over and over and because it took so long they were constantly needing updated account statements, pay stubs, and proof of employment. And there was no consistency. Sometimes they wanted them uploaded through their online portal and sometimes they wanted them emailed directly to the loan officer or processor. I would NEVER recommend this company and would have put zero stars if that were an option.

This is an update to the below older review. This utterly incompetent & dysfunctional Lakeview Loan Servicing LLC company, has now admitted by mail they had a DATA BREACH of sensitive client information late in 2021 (not a real surprise here) and sent letters to those affected, requesting we contact their hired & unheard of credit monitoring company. In fact, Lakeview won't even verbally discuss, verify or show online what was said in the letter with their customers. I then contacted the "monitoring company" who couldn't even find any of my letter's provided information in their database. Guess what? The incompetent Lakeview hired an incompetent credit monitoring company. In addition, Lakeview's telephone answering (merry-go-round) system is also pathetic along with their revised security measures when you attempt to go online, it now requires you to submit their texted security codes TWICE in a row, before you can access your account on-line. I could go on & on, but please AVOID this bottom rate outfit like the Bubonic plague, if you weren't forced to use them by the unfortunate mortgage sale. Lakeview Loan Servicing LLC is a 3rd rate or lower rank mortgage provider. The only reason I ended up with this provider is when my original mortgage provider regrettably sold my mortgage to this outfit. First, their automated telephone system is terrible where you have to keep entering the same extension numbers over & over again to keep you waiting along with the added wait time for someone to eventually pick-up. Secondly, this outfit intentionally mails the bills late in the month prior to the payment due date, so that you have to immediately mail the bill upon receipt and hope it gets there and processed in time before the payment due date. Highly recommend to AVOID using this 3rd rate outfit if you have the chance!! I will also contact and complain to my original mortgage company for selling my mortgage to this outfit.

My original loan was sold to Lakeview about 8 years ago. I've not had any problems in those 8 yrs. I've had to talk to the escrow/insurance dept a few times, where I changed insurance companies, and they were always very helpful and had no issues with the change over. Just recently took advantage of the low refi rates for a cash-out refi. Diego & Karey made the process super easy and closed 3 weeks earlier than anticipated. I have already recommended Diego & Lakeview. I hope they don't sell my loan, as is common practice. They are much easier to deal with and contact an actual human, than the original, huge international bank who held my original loan.

I would give this company a zero if I could. We tried to refinance for 7 months after numerous loan processors were fired or quit. We had to redo electronic paperwork and signing of paperwork for whatever reasons. Even separate forms that were needed to process this loan could not be shared among all of the people who quit so I had to resubmit multiple times. This has been the most unprofessional company and worst experience in dealing with them and playing their wait game. Do not go with this company unless you want to be jerked around. Expressing our frustrations, which we've already done, does nothing so no I will not be contacting anyone again if that's your replay back. Good riddance to this terrible company!

Terrible company with terrible customer service and features. It's no coincidence that they have hundreds of 1 star reviews. Personally I have experienced endless wait times on the phone and several times during regular business hours I have had their machine tell me no one is available and the machine hung up on me. I tried to refinance through them about a month ago and the guy that answered the phone said he wasn't registered in my state and would have someone else call me. That call never came. On top of the fact that I can NEVER log in online or through the app I'm glad I made the decision to refinance to another company. I never chose this company as my loan was sold to them but I sure am glad to be out. If you have the option to get your loan services by literally anyone else I would highly recommend it.

This company seems great when your trying to get a loan or refinance but when it comes to customer service it is impossible to get ahold of anyone. Our loan company, without telling us, decided they would use lakeview loan services to service our loan. It went well for the most part but we never needed any assistance we just made our monthly payments.. This company reached out to us to do a streamline refinance so we decided to go ahead with the streamline. Once we decided to go ahead with it we sent in the information needed and haven't heard from anyone again. We have received emails from 5+ people asking for documents which I sent every time. I called and emailed repeatedly asking for updates on the process and received no calls or emails in return. Its been 4 months since we started the process and I have yet to receive a response from someone about our streamline refinance. DO NOT USE Lakeview Loan Servicing if at all possible. Eventually you will regret it.

I had the privilege of working with Shannon Parks at Lakeview. This was the second time and they didn’t disappoint! Their process was simple and their communication was great. Even the notary, Kasheem Nivens, they sent out was AMAZING!

On 2 Aug 21 I received an email from your employee Gaudys Hernandez saying I qualified for the VA IRRL interest rate reduction program. I responded with, “Do you offer this in a 15 year Mortgage?” On 3 Aug 21 I received a phone call from Bryan Russell Ormsby where he indicated that they do offer a 15 year mortgage and we discussed percentage points. He told me that to get the lowest rate through VA I needed to add additional funds to the loan and it was going to be about $2,000.00 to lock in the lower rate. On 4 Aug 21 I saw the estimated loan amount and it had added almost $7,000 to my current payoff. I questioned it and Bryan told me that was just an estimate that it would be lower than that amount. On 6 Aug 21 I receive an email from Jennifer Haymes requesting Termite inspection, home appraisal, W2’s, Pay Stubs and multiple other items, within 3 days!! So then I questioned Bryan as to why I needed this since the VA IRRL said I didn’t and his response was because this was a “NEW” Loan. At no point in our conversations and or emails, did he ever say this was a “NEW” Loan. And there were several emails that the subject line was “REFINANCE.” So I was led down a path of deception and I wasted a lot of time and effort. I had received at least six FedEx deliveries, five emails and three phone messages over the last year about the VA IRRL offer from your company. So I finally decided to ask the question and get handed this mess! Shame on Mr. Ormsby and Shame on Lakeview Loan Servicing for the predatory lending practices towards Disabled Veterans you have. You want to fix this, give me the VA IRRL Refinance on a 15 year mortgage at 2.25% like what was laid out to me. You have my contact information and if you can’t give me that, don’t call me. In fact please push my mortgage up to the top of your list to sell to another mortgage company. Maybe one that doesn’t treat Veterans the way your company does.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Can I give 0 STARS? I bought a home through SFM and after a month, the loan got transferred to Lakeview Loan Servicing. I never had interactions with them, we signed up for automated payments and we are good right? After a year, I decided to refinance, I called this place, the guy was cool but the minute I mentioned I am shopping around for best offer....he went from Mr. Nice Guy to the most rude, he hung up on me. When I would call him back he would say he's busy, he's going into a meeting, let me call you back, etc. His name was: Bill Cellucci, Mortgage Loan Originator. He was so rude, I guess they don't like competition. A month later, after closing refinancing with the other company, Lakeview took out a payment when they weren't supposed to. I tried calling several departments, they would hang up or transfer me to the automated service. I had to get my refinance company representative to speak with them and they finally listened. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. IF YOUR LOAN OFFICERS WANT TO TRANSFER YOU TO LAKEVIEW....FIND A WAY TO FIGHT IT. LAKEVIEW LOAN SERVICING'S CUSTOMER SERVICE IS SO TERRIBLE. NO JOKE! THEY HAVE TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! TERRIBLE!

Current mortgage with lake view as many others stayed, not by choice as the loan was sold off. This place is an absolute nightmare. The worst customer service I’ve ever experienced..... if you’re lucky to even reach anyone. Spend hours on the phone to get no where. I’ve had money taken from my account now for the past three months due to missing documents. My insurance company has sent them I’ve sent them and nothing has changed.

Unfortunately zero stars isn’t an option. Received a property tax statement that reflected a significant increase. Lender paid the full amount, overdrawing the escrow account. I immediately contacted them and asked what my new monthly payment would be and was told that since I had a “surplus” in escrow the payment wouldn’t change. I replied that this made no sense and that I was reaching out to avoid any unwelcome surprises later. Well, the surprise arrived today in the form of my monthly payment increasing by $1000, mostly to rebuild the escrow amount. When I called to discuss this I was basically given the “you effed up - you trusted me” line from “Animal House.” UPDATE: As you can see, Lakeview is now asking for an opportunity to review my account. I provided an opportunity to review my account when I ASKED for a review of my account last November to see what payment I should be making. If you really want to help now, please send the current payoff to BNC Bank to expedite my refi. Thanks.

Awful company, please avoid doing any kind of business if you value things like courtesy, timeliness, good communication, and transparency. Lakeview is the servicer that took over my loan when it was transferred by the originating lender. I have a VA loan, and they offered me to do a streamline interest rate reduction program. I got an unsolicited call from one of the representatives on April 20th, his name was Sean Pollard. He assured me that if I completed the electronic document consent form that he could lock my rate in as early as that night. Well I completed it, and needless to say after 3 days I received zero communication and no new documents showing the new rate, or anything even related to the loan. On April 23rd I email Sean asking about the rate, and any other details. No response. A few days later I call Sean, no response so I leave a voicemail. I was able to speak with someone else, can't recall the name, but this was around April 27th and he assured me that all was well and he spoke to Sean and I'll have the information and documents within the hour. One day, two days, three days go by and nothing. No communication, no email, no phone calls, no new documents on the portal. Nothing. I email Sean and leave a voicemail to just cancel the entire process. Still no response, no communication from Lakeview. Finally on May 6th I get an email from someone else that directs me to log into the portal and it's a document saying the loan was denied due to an incomplete application! Needless to say, now I'm going to take my rather large loan, and my near perfect credit score and refinance this loan so I can cut all ties with this terrible company. This is how they treat existing customers, so please stay the hell away from them with something as important as a mortgage. I'm sure someone will respond to this review and say please call this number and talk to us because this is not typical blah blah blah. Yes, it is typical. Think about this, I could do a VA streamline for low cost with Lakeview, but I'm willing to pay thousands of dollars extra in closing costs simply to get my mortgage away from this company. That should speak volumes.

Not once, but twice have I been charged twice for a monthly mortgage because the company does not know how to run their business. During Covid they easily go ahead and charge me twice even when I call to ask questions and they assure me I will not be charged twice. Now I have to wait a total of 10-15 days for a refund.... this place sucks!!!!

The worst refinance experience ever! It took 4 months to complete refinance process. I would rate them as a zero if possible. The loan processor changed 3 times and each time I was not notified that the person had left the company or that I had been passed off to someone else. The loan processor who is working on my refi, continually dropped the ball in terms of follow-up and communication despite me being very responsive and always sending what was requested of me (most of the time within minutes or hours of the request). I continually had to follow up and was always told that it was in the queue. I sent over ID documents and after a couple weeks the loan processor claimed she never received them and tried putting the blame on me. Near the end I was told that the only thing left to do was for the Loan Processor to send it over to QC and that she expected to receive the pay off within 2 hours but that never happened. She then proceeded to tell me I had to send an explanation letter for why my driver's license didn't match the property address. This should have been asked for up front when she received the documents. I sent this letter this Tuesday morning and have yet to receive an email confirming receipt or letting me know what are the next steps. The only way I was able to get my loan closed was by contacting the CEO on LinkedIn. Even after all of this the incorrect loan ID is mapped to my account and doesn't match my loan documents. I attempted to contact customer support to get my account number so that I can register online for payments however I could not get anyone to answer. I got stuck in an endless loop of automated system responses and can't get in touch with a real human. I have also attempted emailing and calling you the loan processor's manager and my loan originator and have not received a response from either of them. Worst mortgage broker ever!

Poor customer service, deceptive business practice's. Should be investigated for theft.I guess I don't even rate a reply. These people should not be able to take any kind of loans especially anything to do with Veterans. You will get ripped off. I sold my house and discovered wrong data on my closing paperwork. I pointed it out to my agent so Lakeview made an adjustment then made up some other fees to get more money. These people are a total disgrace. Look at your rating 1.5 out of 5. Tells it all. More than happy to join together for a class action lawsuit.

I wish I had known to read reviews on this lender before hand. Beware, especially if you are a veteran. I refinanced with them November 2020 and Scott Stein my loan officer made empty promises about not making the first two mortgage payments at the close of the loan. Customer support is incompetent and rude. I eventually escalated to their corporate office and they claimed they did not have the voice recording evidence on file. This is a terrible lender and loan servicer to work with, please find someone else, you have been warned.

I received a letter from Lakeview Loan about refinancing. So I called to get the details and Mathew Ari Balin said he could do the refinance and had me sign the E-consent. I was on the phone with him along time and he said no credit check because I was already a customer. I didn't need an appraisal. I didn't need proof on income because I was already a customer. I always pay my mortgage on time and never late. Matt said he would call me back after he talked the manager well guess what no phone call back. So I kept calling Matt and leaving messages. Matt never returned my call instead he had Amy Wayne to email me a denial letter. Matt knows he's a liar and he don't want to face it. Lakeview is a scam of a loan company , they have false advertisement. Do not get a loan through them because they are liars. They have bogus advertisement and bogus employees. False advertisement!!!! They should get in trouble for false advertisement.!!!!

While this company held my mortgage, trying to get through to speak to anyone was an absolute pain. Their app and website are both trash. Thank God I recently did a refi with another company I have used in the past. And get this, these guys are still trying to collect payments even though my account is paid in full and my mortgage is no longer with them. If they hit my credit while no longer holding the title, I'm suing. Please do not use this company, and if your current lender sells your note to these guys, start shopping around immediately.

I have been trying to get access to my account online for MONTHS but have not been able to get any help. Anytime I call one of their multiple service numbers I spend upwards of 10 minutes listening to automated directions that rarely lead to a human being. My username is correct but no password seems to satisfy their system. I've followed directions, clicked on "Forgot Password", received email with temporary password, entered temporary password and then...... NOTHING. Nothing seems to work. And anytime I call I go in circles through the automated system. This level of service is second to ATT but I don't think that's a competition you want to win.

This company takes no responsibility for their many dishonest practices. We had been paying on a mortgage and residing in a different city for over a year and a half. For no reason (that they could explain), they sent our escrow refund to the old property because they mysteriously had our contact information listed as the old property address. Mind you, we never changed it. Now, they want US to wait at least 30 days after the first check was sent for them to send another check, which could take another week to process. They also charged me for Lender force pay insurance on a paid off home. When I inquired about it, they did not respond. So, I called and found out they discreetly changed the description to MIP. The agent tried to tell me I was confusing the two. No, they conveniently changed the description of the charge. Either they logged it incorrectly or are trying to find a way to create a bogus charge. Garbage company. Glad to be done with them.

Tried to use them to refinance. My current loan is with them and wanted to take advantage of the 2021 low rates. they spent months stringing me around until the rates went up. Then they refused to honor the rate that was supposed to be locked in and sent the papers a week after AFTER the expiration date for my response. Guess I need to find a new lender.

The worst loan company you could ask for!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. My basement flooded and it took this company 4 months. I repeat 4 MONTHS and they still have not sent me the check I need. Due to the amount of the repair I needed my lender to sign off on the check for repairs. 4 months and still nothing!! I call today and they say oh yea we see it here I’ll submit it for review! SO WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN REVIEWING THE LAST 4 MONTHS!!?? I’ve called them multiple times. It’s to the point now where I have to call them every other day. Absolutely ridiculous!!! When my roof needed replaced my old mortgage company NORTHPOINTE loan had my issue taken care of in less than 30 days. AND THAT WAS MORE MONEY THAN THIS!! I can not wait to get away from this lazy, non responsive, horrible customer service company! I wish I would of never switched.

No matter how many voice mails and emails I send, I cannot get in touch with my loan specialist Chase Jones while doing a modification to my loan. I ask for an update through their online portal and get automated messages saying they are forwarding to my loan specialist and he will be in touch. Round and round we go. I can't imagine a company where you can ignore your customer's pleas for any sort of update and stay in business but somehow they are, for now. I really hope another company buys my loan from them soon. My experience with Lakeview Mr. Cooper has truly sucked.

My identity was stolen while they were in possession of my loan. I got an apology letter……and one free year of identity monitoring. Ha!! Most companies give you 3 to 5 years!! Believe me I know. It happens. But come on, throw me a bone here. No longer with them.

They point the finger at the county and corelogic and are so rude when I call in about my money! They suggested I hash it out with the county or the person who's taxes were paid... Alone! Make sure your social security number isn’t being used fraudulently! I was notified in March that my PII (ssn, loan application documents, etc) were stolen in a data breach that occurred between October and December. They waited at a minimum 3 months to notify me. There is no excuse for this. This is a serious issue, your carelessness will be something that could impact me for the rest of my life. Offering identity monitoring services for a year that probably cost you $300 for the whole year doesn't make up for it. My data will forever be out there, it doesn't disappear in a year. Once I am in, I am bombarded with multiple offers that I have no interest in. Getting to my load is painful process for no reason. DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT use this company! They have totally screwed me. I have been trying to get a tax billed payed since Last Oct. I've spoken to about 6 agents who keep telling the same thing, that they will take care of it. I recently received a Notice to put a Lein on my house by the tax company bc Lakeview DID NOT pay it. I called and spoke to another agent who said that the previous agents didn't do their job correctly. He stated he would make sure this was taken care of and follow up with me. Not only was it not paid, he did not follow up and I received another letter for this time to Garnish My Wages. I called Lakeview again and spoke with a supervisor who stated I needed to send on a written request for them to pay these taxes, and that it would come out of my escrow and my mortgage would go up. They were not willing to do anything to help me. And with interest my bill went up $100 due to Lakeviews many mistakes! I'm a single Mom who is currently unemployed, and Lakeview could care less! I even told them all the times I spoke with those agents to let me know if this is something I had to pay, and all of them said no. So again, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!

I had my loan with this company and they said "Re-finance for better rates" which the rates were better. The problem is the small writing. They pulled the numbers the day I asked about the re-fi and never bothered to pull true numbers when it took them almost two months to close. They ended up using all of my escrow to finish funding the loan, even though it was with their own company. Three months later I owed over $3000 because my escrow was short which would make my payment to up $350 dollars. The whole point of the re-fi was to get the payment lowered, not higher!!! I would never do business with them again and would take my business elsewhere if I could.

We just closed refinancing with Lakeview for the second time. I can see why so many have given low ratings. We have been with them for our original loan since 2019. Haven’t really had any issues, however we decided to refinance and since we hadn’t had issues in the past we went with Lakeview. This process to close has been a nightmare. First being told out there gate we wouldn’t have to pay any cash to close, then ending up having to scramble to pay. Then being told that we wouldn’t pay our mortgage payment for one month and just getting debited the mortgage payment! Lakeview is truly the most unprofessional and rude company I have ever dealt with. Do not take out a mortgage with them. We have been trying for 3 months and 3 closings that all had serious errors to get something finalized. We are senior citizens and had our VA loan with them to start most unfortunately. I do not ever write negative reviews for anyone but this company is negative 1 star. We have owned our house for 1year+. The first incident was 4 months after moving into our home when they tried to tell us we didn’t have the proper flood insurance and tried to sell theirs. After mailing and faxing all proper docs and calling them, which was horrible. Every time I call they tell me I was not able to access any info on my house that I needed my husbands permission which I put him on the recorded line and he told the rep I can be added and deal with our payment stuff and to add me to the acct. they said they did. They still charged us for the insurance which we denied and never signed for. I kept calling and calling and kept getting the sam response that I was not able to get any info because I was not on the account my husband then proceeded to call 2 more times to add me to the account. Fast forward a few months they tried to add the insurance again saying the same thing that we did not have the right coverage. After having an attorney look at our coverage and our insurance guy review everything we found that are insurance exceeded the minimum requirements. So we resubmitted again. Never once missed a payment since purchasing our house and as of last month they raised our monthly payment and according to the statement it’s the insurance again. So I resubmit my insurance coverage and call again and get told I can not get any info on this account. I asked for a supervisor to discuss this issue was supposedly transferred then disconnected. Ok I get it some phone systems suck so I call back and get transferred 4 times waited on hold for 2 1/2 hours and get told I should receive a call back. Still haven’t heard anything. The absolute worse experience ever! **updated Review*** after I was able to get a hold of someone they were going to do some "recalculations" to give me a new monthly payment from the $2500 they were charging me. They send durning this time they will hold off any late payments and fees. I asked to get that sent in email for my records. It was never sent. So after 2 weeks they finally was able to lower my payment to $2200 because they said our flood insurance went and I said no it actually went down almost $300 dollars and our home insurance about a couple hundred as well per our insurance guy. She asked me to have all that resent so I did. Here it is Jan 29th and I have yet to get a revised statement and the email stating we will not be penalized. I have called left voicemails and sent 1 email so far. Still no response no nothing. I also found out that instead of paying OUR insurance policy with our escrow account they paid for their own insurance and hazard and flood which made my payment go up to the $2500. They are expecting us to pay 2 months in a row that is $4800 for an error on their part. I'm wanting to pay our mortgage because we always pay on time but they have not responded or communicated since last week or so. I want to make the correct payment and not be over charged. Still not impressed.

I was going to refinance my mortgage with Lakeview but I changed my mind at the last minute due to poor customer service. The first time I spoke to my loan officer, Mary, she was very kind and patient, answering all of my questions. After I locked in my rate and agreed to proceed, that was it! I no longer received returned phone calls or replies to my emails. My application got passed to someone else who also treated me the same way, no replies to emails. I was originally told I’d close in 30-40 days. 60 days came and went with no word or response to my emails. I suddenly began receiving new loan estimates (1-2 per week) with constantly changing numbers with no explanation. It just didn’t seem right. When I finally decided to pick a new lender, I emailed my loan officer and never even got a reply. No attempt to win back my business. I was just a number to them and I am glad I chose a different lender, who was also able to give me a half percent lower interest rate!

I was told they wouldnt need new bank info or pull credit since they were streamlining my existing loan. LIES!! 4 months in they suddenly needed to request all of that. Kept stalling the closing and then said it was a new programming with their computers. They requested my payoff numerous times from my mortgage company which cost ME money every time they did it. Update: I should have updated this week's ago, but hadn't gotten to it. The day after posting my below review, I received a phone call from Lakeview. They apologized with all sincerity and actually told me they were happy that I had posted my review, because they had no idea there was an issue with their phone system. They were sort of in awe, wondering how many other customers weren't able to get through. After that, I had no issues getting through to them and they took care of my loan very promptly. Thank you Lakeview & Loancare, for resolving this so quickly! Original review: Up until about 3 weeks ago, I had zero issues with Lakeview using LoanCare Servicing. Now that I'm waiting on information and was specifically told not to make a payment until my loan review was completed and heard back from them, I can't get ahold of anyone. I have been trying for nearly 3 weeks to call and tried 3 different phone numbers and I get disconnected during the automation without ever reaching a human. I decided to call the sales phone today and, as nice as they were, their assistance did no good. They gave me numbers I've already tried and when they attempted to transfer me I ended up being on the same automated system and getting disconnect. I've sent 2 messages - 1 last week and 1 yesterday - using their online contact page, but still nothing from anyone. I'd LOVE a freakin' phone call back!!!

My wife and I have a current loan with this company. Not by choice. Our loan was sold to this company in 2015 after we purchased our house. Recently, my wife inquired about refinancing. She dealt with a loan officer that was completely unknowledgeable. After talking with her, he sent the loan documents via email. After reviewing them, my wife noticed that our original loan amount was increased 3k BEFORE the refi costs were figured in. She wanted that clarified and asked the loan officer to explain it. He couldn’t answer this and said he needed to talk with his manager and then he would call her back. He never returned the call. Instead a few weeks later, a huge package of papers were sent to us. It was the loan documents! Needless to say, we did nothing with them. Then we received an email as a follow up. My wife emailed back stating that we were not satisfied with the loan, that the main question as to why the original loan amount increased by 3k BEFORE the refi costs were added in was never addressed and she felt that increasing our loan by over 8k was too high. Loan officer immediately emailed back asking my wife to call him! Wow! He wouldn’t call her, she had to call him! Do not do business with this company!

Lakeview Loan Servicing provides the worst in customer service I have ever encountered. As like many of you, Lakeview decided debit my account and cut 2 checks to 2 different insurance companies within 10 days of each other. This was Sept 2020. Once I was notified in October of my escrow account being insufficient, due to audit, they tacked on an addition $300 to my payment to correct the deficit(they created). Fortunately I have a brain that functions and decided to investigate and do my own audit. Based on my findings Lakeview withdrew $1425.48 from my account 9/8/2020, and sent it to the wrong insurance company(without any invoice). Then 10 days later on 9/18/2020 they in-turn cut another check for $1424.48 and sent it to the correct insurance company(with the correct invoice). In Oct they "audited" my escrow to find, shockingly, my escrow account was short by, guess what $1425.48. hmmm not much of an auditing system considering that I could see it on my online profile what they had done. So, long story longer, I have been calling them weekly since November and they still do not have the money corrected and credit given to my escrow. Because of this error by Lakeview, I have over-paid my payments by another $1200(4 months x $300). So if you ever talk to a Patrick, Denise, Cynthia, Iana, Jasmine, Kino, Monique or any other employee, they will tell you what you want to hear in an attempt to pass the buck onto another un-suspecting employee, probably hoping I will just give up. Well they are wrong. I am planning to litigate against them for time (26 hours documented total) and suffering from the stress caused as a result of their negligent management of funds. Good luck if you get them as a servicing company. My suggestion is to run as fast as possible in the other direction from Lakeview Loan Servicing.

Giving Lakeview 1 star, is 1 star too many. This company is a DISASTER to work with. Tax bills? require about 6 months to get sorted out. Change of phone number? Plan for at least 6 months. They had our taxes and escrow completely messed up for the first 8 months of our mortgage. Avoid them if you can. If you can't, I'm sorry about the situation you're now in. Best thing you can do for a reasonably quick response is to reach out to the Better Business Bureau. This is one of those companies that would do its customers a better service by shutting down and selling the loans to a servicer who can actually do responsible business.

Terrible. They disbursed funds to the wrong insurance provider (actual coverage provider is now threatening to cancel coverage due to non payment). They also have two separate accounts for me and can’t figure out which is correct. Nobody will respond to my calls and emails, including the ones lakeview posted in response to these multitude of complaints. I’m currently in the process of contacting VPs and potentially the CEO to get this rectified. The next step will be litigation. If your compliance department is reading this: get this fixed before I sue. Update: it’s been over a month now and still nothing.

As has been stated here several times already, Lakeview began sending me unsolicited packages in the form of Fedex Express envelopes. I have received at least 6 packages now from a company that should have nothing to do with me. When I finally called to ask them to stop mailing packages, the representative tried to convince me that Lakeview owns my mortgage and I need to provide a bunch of information so he can look up my account. In no way should these scammers be trusted at all.
