They don't deserve one star. Zero communication. Lied about trying to contact us. Don't use them they are not concerned about the customer.

Shawn did an amazing job on the inspection and re-inspection of our home. Shawn provided us with a detailed report and answered all our questions. He was always available and went above and beyond to help us out. Thanks to his detailed report we were able to make an informed decision and make sure our family is safe in the new house. I will recommened his services to anyone who's looking for an honest and responsible inspector. Thank you again for all your help!

Professional and easy going ar the same time.

I was treated horribly and belittled at Lakeland Title Services I am a real estate investor. I had reached out to a friend who is a realtor about doing business with a new title company for my current deal I have under contract, and I asked him for a referral. My friend gave me the name of Lakeland Title Services. I called the company twice today 9/16/20 before I drove out there and informed them of the nature of my business and purpose, I was assured they handled my particular transaction. The person answering the phone answered my questions and I was then on my way. Their company is a 1 hour drive one way from where I leave. I arrived talked to the receptionist, gave her my contract and my money, she understood the nature of my business and said one of their agents who runs title would be calling me. I said find and departed Not 5 minutes after I left their office, I get a call from Lakeland title, I don’t recall the gentlemen’s name but he started asking me questions, and he was aggressive in his questioning. Question such as ,do I know anyone at the company, who introduce me to their company , what was the nature of my business, how did I hear about their company, do I know anyone there. I informed him it was a friend of mines, who is a realtor, then he wanted to know what company was the realtor with and what was his name. Now I am taking back by these questions and confused because I came to do business and asked what seems to be the problem. He informs me for the type of transaction I was requiring they only do this for a select few, “they are selective”, they have to know the person first, this exchange goes on for a couple of minutes. Then someone saying he was the Owner takes over the call and says more of the same, and that they have a process, and adds, they don’t take walk ins. I said, I called twice before coming, I also spoke to the receptionist and she did not give me any indication that what I was requesting would be a problem because she took my money. The gentlemen who said he was the owner asked did I have a Lawyer representing me for this real-estate transaction, I said no but, that would not be a problem for me to get one. At this point I realized this is not the type of company I wanted to do business with. So, I went back to the office and retrieved my contract and my money. And what the owner failed to realize, I know Title Companies keep or have a Lawyer in the office or they can easily retain one. Like I said I am a Real-estate Investors so I know how the “process works”. On top of that he the so-called owner could have offered to have one of his Lawyer to represent me in this real estate transaction but, he never did, I wonder why! Then the thought came to mind, was this because I was black and a Muslim because they had no problems informing me over the phone they could help me and would gladly accept new business coming into the door, the problem occurred after I showed up at their office, so now I am contemplating on reaching out to BBB,ACLU, FTC, and or CBS Chicago I Witness New! I will never do business with this company and I will tell a great deal of people in the Real Estate Business the same, that Lakeland does not like doing business with black people or Muslim, or maybe both!
