Hurry up and Wait best describes the mortgage loan process at this particular lmcu branch. Forget about asking questions directly to the loan officer or its affiliates as they communicate via email only. Not one time did any of them pick up their phone when I had a question. You don't want that. Save yourself some frustration and go elsewhere because this mortgage team operates at a C-.

I’ve been with this credit union for 20 years and used to love their employees and awesome service. They were a step above the competition for sure! However, the days of helpful, knowledgeable tellers and phone service are over. They don’t know (nor care for) their customers. Just today I called in for help with a debit card issue... now I remember why I stopped using it! After answering questions including: my name, birth date, account number, types of accounts, who my car insurance is through, and where I shop... they said I’d have to wait for the charge to hit and dispute it. So frustrating! This wouldn’t be a problem had I used my credit card. If it wasn’t for my revolving line of credit (which is no longer offered) I would leave in a heartbeat! As it is, think I’m going to move most of my money and accounts elsewhere. If they got rid of the max checking, they’d see a mass exodus for sure!

The Enigma branch. Out of all GR LMCUs this branch is the worst. Was told by en employee, Kyle, to take my business to another bank if I didnt like a policy. When I notified his manager and regional it was explained to that Kyle explained he never told me this even though my son was with me when he told this twice before leaving his office. Brad is the branch manager. Very timid and doesnt like confrontation. He is more concerned about being liked by employees than being respected.

I reached out for an auto loan. I have a 772 credit score and offered to put up to 50% down on the vehicle I wanted. I was denied. The bank also discriminated against me for my age which is illegal. Crazy because if this was 2007, I wouldn’t need any documents, wouldn’t need any credit and would get approved for a $500k house, no questions asked. Very quick to destroy our economy in 2008. Then absent to rebuild the economy in 2019.

Hillary was excellent and very helpful when we were working through preparing for our international trip. We highly recommend this branch and the service!! At this bank you truly feel like they care.

Just must say everyone on the workers at this branch is awsome and amazing in a million ways! I will be switching from huntighton to you guys! I was getting morning joe from speedway and came out these guys giving away gift cards to people comming out and wishing people a merry Christmas. You all are awsome! Made my day! There are good people out there still.

Staff put us through hell then never got back with us. Horrible experience and will never go back.

This is the best banking firm i ever had and that's saying a lot since I have lived all over this country in my 66 years. Wow. Most of these whiners on here complaining of the parking lot? They're slow? Come on people! Grow up. The best people work here. Their policies are so kindly and forgiving. If the whiners had only 5/3 Fifth/Third? Or Chase? They'd be paying penalties with medieval torture sessions!! And going home crying like wee babes and broke, to boot!! L. M. C. U. Is Best. Period.

I really enjoy Lake Michigan Credit Union and this branch is great! People are very friendly, I never wait for a long period time and I always get questions answered quickly. I wish more banks would adopt to these standards!

Friendly employees, but chronically understaffed. I just spent over fifteen minutes in the drive through, which seems to be the norm for this poorly-managed branch. I'll not be returning. In fact, given the terrible service I've received in the past, I'm considering changing banks altogether.
