Salesperson was good at accommodating my needs with my trade-in and options for finance. The truck looks fantastic and in good shape. The only thing that disappointed me was the bad battery and broken windshield wiper. I would advise a thorough check (battery check, wipers, oil, etc.,) before handing the car to the costumer.

I came in after work with my son who was looking for a car. I knew that I was going to get a new vehicle in the next year or two, but fell in love with one on the showroom floor. The finance department and sales person stayed late to help my son and I get into our dream vehicles. They close at 7 or 8 pm and we did not leave until 11 pm. Way to go above and beyond! I love my new car.

We’ve had our truck in the service department for two months now. In the beginning, we were getting tossed around to different representatives every time we called. When we finally got the correct department, we were told what was wrong with the vehicle and when the parts should be coming in and a date they should be done with the vehicle. It comes to the day we’re supposed to be getting our vehicle back and no phone call. We call the department and they say it isn’t ready and it will be ready this date. It’s now been two months and we’ve gotten at least 4 different dates and no updates on where our vehicle is at. We’ve gone into the dealership and spoken with Michael, the service manager, about the problem. He told us that the person giving us dates on when we’ll get our vehicle back was the receptionist. He said he’d call and give us updates on where our vehicle was at. He has yet to do so. We call and no one picks up. He gave us his direct line as well. My husband received a call yesterday stating his truck would be ready today. He called at the end of the day and no answer. He goes to the dealership and the service manager says, “I saw you called”, then proceeds to tell my husband that the vehicle is still not ready. Overall, not impressed with the service manager. This is getting absolutely ridiculous.

Kendall Fairbanks is the worst dealer ship I’ve ever visited. No one knows what they do there. We bought a really expensive car and they were unable to deliver what they said. We had to go back 7 times for the different Parts ( they ordered ). The parts were always wrong and they put a broken rack on the car in the hope no one will notice it. After all this they still have the nerve to schedule us new appointments even if they know we are moving away from Alaska. After several times promising us to fix the issues they came up with new ones. I don’t know if they have no standards or this is normal and they do this to any customer or only to my husband. Worst experience. I hope they start treating and handling business like a normal dealer ship in the future for others.

BY FAR THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED!! Took my Durango to them to have my winter tires changed over. Got it back, and noticed there was a wobble as I drove. Took it back, and they stated the vehicle never had a balance, and, " we'll take care of it." Got the vehicle back, and it still had the same issue. Took it back, and had a " SERVICE MANAGER" LOOK OVER THE VEHICLE. . He stated there were a couple issues, and he would have someone take care of it. Next thing I know, they are saying there is a bulge in the tire, and the tires are old. Not true. The next story was that there was powder found in the tire , and due to the tire being worn, i would need all new tires. My tires were completely fine. I then brought up the fact that they should have caught it when they put them back on if that was the case. Advised them that the vehicle had no issues before I brought it to them, and now I'm getting it back with this issue, and that isn't right. THEY DID ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, except explain that my wife gets a discount of tires, as she works there. All this stemming from the fact that they messed up, I caught it, brought it to their attention, and theybse to do anything about it. Worked in Customer Service most of my life, and I knoww the customer is not always right, however, this is something they messed up. Will.never go back to them. Which is sad,because I've been here 20 yrs, and have bought all my vehicles through them.

1992 Landcruiser blew it's rear main and needs other work. It's been sitting at this dealership for 10 weeks. Talked to several people... and get a different story every time as to where they are at in the repairs. They have now stopped returning calls or messages. Can't drop in because on deployment. Repeat... it's been at the dealership for TEN weeks. So... friends daughter has been without her car for TEN WEEKS and now messages are not being answered? Have they stolen the car? What's going on? No one knows.

Had to bring my car in due to a recall with my car model. They dissembled a lot of areas in my car and when I finally got my car back (they kept delaying estimated completion) I found some screws lost and my dashboard to not even be fully put together. Now my trunk looks lopsided with the rear quarter panel sticking out. Inattentive and customer-disinterested

I have the experence of every time i go there , i have to recheck that everything that I asked for was done, they give you a nice electronic paperwork, where it shows everything was done but they often forget to add liquids, they forget to clean the baterry , they forget to put the wheel covers, etc today 6/18/2022 i took my car for an oil change and they returned the vehicle to me with the compartiment gloves on the car floor because they forgot to put it back, I asked for the manager, they said there is not manager on Saturdays I think there hasn't been a manager there for a long time or he is not doing his job. I only use this place because this is the only toyota dealership in town. Please take time to check the other reviews to see that i am not the only one.

John Miller in the service dept. Is so easy to talk with. I do a lot of my own work on my car, but there are some things I leave to the pros. He is patient and understands a lot about mechanics. Good sense of humor also. He never runs out of options for me to take with my car for repair. The mechanic does clean and quality work. They make getting your car repaired easy.

My entire experience at Kendall Toyota was very positive, starting with my interaction with Elizabeth Kerr. I am very satisfied with the purchase of the 2015 Tundra Crewmax. I own a 2000 Toyota Tundra Access Cab that I bought new in Fairbanks. After 17 years of satisfaction I could not seriously consider another brand of truck. I am looking forward to many years of ownership of this Crewmax.

The vehicle that I purchased was slightly used (3500 miles). I paid a premium for the vehicle, slightly above MSRP. The vehicle was not clean and I asked for it to be cleaned before I picked it up. I got it home to find food crumbs and trash under the front seats and the backs seats. Before purchasing, the salesman and the manager couldn't seem to provide me with any details about a lease or financing, even though Toyota advertises such deals. Also the sales manager was rude and not helpful when appraising my vehicle for trade-in. I've never had much luck dealing with this dealership and this time was no different.

We purchased three vehicles from this dealer over a decade. Unfortunately, we will NEVER use Kendall Toyota of Fairbanks again. Our most recent experience was the deciding factor. We dropped our vehicle off early for an 1130 service appointment. We went over at 1615 to check on the progress, and the service department didn't even touch our car yet. When my husband expressed his dissatisfaction with the entire process with the customer service individual servicing him, another individual intervened, shouting that he was "flagged." He then accused my husband of cursing at employees. My husband explained that he used profanity to express his discontent with the lack of notification and a previous service appointment where the service department left the console for our vehicle unattached, not at the customer service representative. At that point, they called a manager to "deal with my husband." I had no idea that a customer could be "flagged" for expressing his discontent with service as a customer. When the manager came, I asked if my husband's race had anything to do with him being "flagged," but he vehemently denied that my husband's race was a factor in how the service department treated him. Mr. Bushke apologized for the horrendous service we received but the lack of customer service was appalling. We are done with this business and I intend on filing with the BBB.

We've had a very positive experience with Kendall. We purchased two used cars with them, each with warranties. Both cars have been reliable and stable, and when they've needed to enter the shop, Kendall has done a great job taking care of them. Kendall has even generously not charged us a few times, when their mechanics were not able to confirm that there was a problem with the cars. We expect to continue using Kendall for our local automotive needs. Kendall did not ask us to leave this review.

I felt warmly welcomed upon entering Kendall dealership. Employees were attentive, competent and customer-friendly. I felt thoroughly advised by the dealership, especially by Rocky Burbank who was my personal sales person. He did a great job at genuinely answering all my questions. I felt he made sure I came home satisfied. Here is an example of an exceptional service and how Kendall Toyota Fairbanks handled a specific problem: The car I purchased (Jeep Patriot 2015) had issues with the power steering pressure hose within 1 week of purchase; it suddenly leaked after driving the car for 3 days. The dealership was quick and efficient at solving the issue; they agreed upon covering the cost since it was close after purchase date. Fast forward, it's been about 2 months since purchase date and my Jeep Patriot has been driving great. Overall, Kendall Toyota of Fairbanks seems to live up to their mission of providing excellent customer service. I highly recommend this dealership in Fairbanks.

Went in to look at a vehicle from and called back the next day and made my offer and came to an agreement and told them id come pick it up that evening, was told to put in a finance application to be able to hold the car and lock it in for me then when i showed up to sign papers that evening it was sold to someone else. My credit was still hard checked by them to “lock in the vehicle” Do not say you will hold or lock in a car for someone then sell it to someone else.

Worst customer service I’ve ever dealt with. My 4Runner has been there 24 hours for a warranty repair and no one will even give me a progress update. Called twice today. Last excuse I got was everyone in the service department went home they “should” call you in the morning.

We went car shopping today and our salesman I think meant well, but it came off as not the type of place we want to do business at, which sucks because I love Toyota’s and Subarus. We really wanted a 3rd row suv or van. The sales guy made us kind of upset because he kept questioning us about what we could afford and making comments about how high the price was. As two younger people it did feel as if he kept questioning our ability to afford these vehicles we were looking at. Just some kind advice to not pre judge your customers. I work at a hospital my husbands a NCO in the military, if were looking at it we can afford it, and don’t appreciate being questioned on it. In the future they might politely ask what we do and we’d be happy to tell them. Now we have to look at used Toyota’s/ Subarus elsewhere in town.

He got me the best deal when I was selling my car. He may be young, but that doesn't matter, he was both intelligent and personable the entire time. I am not one to leave reviews, but I feel that my experience here necessitates one. I came to look at a specific new vehicle a few weekends ago with my family. When we arrived, we could not find anyone to help us. It took 30 minutes plus of wandering around before we finally found a salesman to ask to see the inside of the vehicle we wanted. This particular salesman had no interest in selling this vehicle to us. In fact, he tried to show us everything else in the lot that we WEREN’T interested in. He also proceeded to say that they probably weren’t interested in my trade in vehicle (a Jeep Wrangler in great condition that was only a few years old). We decided to leave, and I figured I would try again with someone else the next day. I went the online route a few days later, and it took forever for someone to contact me back (this is with 2 attempts on my end). When I finally get someone, I am told that they would put together the bottom line price on the vehicle I wanted after speaking with the manager. A few days passed, and I still didn’t hear anything back. I called a few more times, and finally received the quote. The quote was higher than the price listed online. They were not willing to budge, nor offer a military discount. I decided to take my business to Anchorage, and I am so glad I did. I ultimately got a much better deal and had a very pleasant buying experience. I would never come back here.

Poor salesmanship on part of Brian Garcia who also did not have the best attitude. Terrible business practice all around to not hold true to your word during sale of a vehicle. Selling a vehicle out from under someone after moving forward with running credit is absolutely sleazy car sales. Sales member does not care about finding and meeting the needs of a customer, only pushy and unethical sales tactics.

I bought my SUV from them and Michael was my sales guy, he was very professional and helpful. The SUV I bought check engine light came on about 2 1/2 weeks after buying it and had me come in and partnered up with the service advisor John miller and they checked it out and got everything replaced and fixed within two hours. The only reason why I did a 4 star instead of 5 was because they had no loaner cars. So Michael was kind enough to drop me off at work and pick me up so I could get my car fixed as soon as possible.

I made an appointment with Kendall Toyota of Fairbanks for service at 7:30 a.m. I stated that I would wait for my vehicle (needed to have a few different fluids changed); therefore, I expected it to be a half-day job which was confirmed with the service representative. Checked for an update around 10 a.m. and the vehicle had not been started on. I reiterated that I was waiting for the vehicle and the representative stated that I would be next up. Okay, I thought, this means that it should be done by noon which would allow me enough time to take care of other business matters. Nope. Noon did not happen and after speaking with the Service Manager (Mike) around 1 p.m., my vehicle was now on the ramp and it should be done soon. 3:30 p.m. – 8 hours after my arrival, my vehicle had finally been serviced and it was time to pay the bill ($570.43). Started my day in the dark (pre-dawn hours) and ended it in the dark (post-dusk hours). Upon arrival home and after reviewing the service invoice, I noticed that there were 3 ‘service recommendations’ that actually had not been brought to my attention, but was claimed that I denied the work to be done. Nothing was brought to my attention during the 8-hours that I spent at Kendall. There is no other word that I can find but: “it was a lie!” There are other automotive repair businesses in Fairbanks that would love my business. Kendall Toyota of Fairbanks has lost the trust of a loyal customer of 25-years.

If you go to Kendall Toyota, go and see Kenneth Fulk. I called him in the morning about a vehicle. He did everything while I was at work that day. I got off work went up to the dealership and left with the vehicle for my wife. He is an outstanding salesman, he went above and beyond my expectations. I would recommend him to anyone. Service department has gone drastically downhill in customer service . took my teenage son's vehicle in to have spark plug changed. had an appointment set up for a Friday morning at 9am. Monday still no calls or updates on vehicle went to go get it around 1130 am they still hadn't looked at it and was told it will be 500-600$ for an inspection i said i did not want. just needed 1 spark plug changed. service advisor was rude and needs some training in customer service. this used to be a reliable place for me to take my vehicles but its definitely time to find somewhere new to go. where they actually work on vehicles not just sit on their butts doing nothing and try to charge you outrageously more money than it should be. this was a real negative experience for my son in regards to mechanic shops. such a shame

Not a great dealership. I bought a used Subaru from them that already had damages on it. Even with the damages they refused to come down on price. They only promised to repair the worst ding. It’s two months later and I’m still working with them on the repair. Most of that is because of their terrible follow up. I have had to reach out to them to move the process along. Then at least four times, maybe more, I’ve called only to find no service reps or managers available to talk so I’ve left a message with their calls dept and been told they’ll call back “as soon as possible.” Guess who never gets a call back? If you can get a good deal at a different dealership I would do that because once you’ve signed any paperwork, they don’t care about you anymore.

Recently purchased a used vehicle from kendall, sales staff was great, however due to lack of work ethic and honesty. the pre owned inspection they claim to do was not done properly, or at all. Within 24 hours of having the vehicle it broke down with multiple faults. Many of which could have been solved before the sale if inspected properly. 2 months go by with many set backs, and an extreme lack of communication having to go to the store to get any sort of answers, but the answered received were filled with excuses after excuses per the service manager. I receive my vehicle back and as im driving home it goes into a limp mode stating engine power reduced due to high engine temp. Nearly getting into an accident because of the situation less than a mile from the dealership. Come to find out my vehicle was 7 quarts low on coolant, after they did "2 months worth of engine repairs."

Thank you Mike for setting things straight, we appreciate feeling valued. ———————————— Took my car in and it was because oil filter wasn’t secured tightly and was told it needed an oil change. I explicitly told them NOT to do a diagnostic but they did one anyways. They just want to do the test to charge me more. Spent unnecessary diagnostic on a 2020 car for the holidays. Thanks Toyota.

After having my Corolla for 5 years, I can confidently say that it was worth buying from Kendall. The maintenance department does need work but they are the only Toyota dealer in Fairbanks so I can’t fault them for their scheduling and limited options.The only thing that I am still salty about is getting penalizes for running a credit inquiry when I bought the car outright.

Financing and all that were taken care of by them and they showed me all the bells and whistles of my new vehicle (I was upgrading from a 1990 Toyota pickup! Which also still works well btw. Very rude to deal with from the sales personnel all the way up to the sales manager. Tried selling me a “like new” Tacoma that had 168 miles on it. They sold it two days ago for $43,000 new. They bought it back for $35,000 and then tried selling it to me used for $40,000. Said what they paid was irrelevant and that 20 people behind me would pay that price. This is the most greedy car dealership I’ve ever dealt with. And I have purchased/leased 10 vehicles. Would not recommend going to the Kendall Toyota. Worst experience at a dealership ever. For anyone who had trouble following all the numbers. They wanted to make $5,000 off of me when they didn’t even have to do anything with it except paperwork.

Expect to be put on hold and transfered multiple times. Received recall notice for airbag, and they were unable to explain how and why they would need to inspect my airbag first before making an appointment to actually fix the recalled airbag despite it being something identifiable to VIN.

I wish you could give 0 Stars. They not only ruined the transmission in our vehicle (that they were supposed to fix) but talked us into a buying a new car instead. The work that they did do, which we paid A LOT of money for, left us without a Lug nut attaching the wheel to suspension. Could have caused the tire to fly off and an accident, possibly even death if the vehicle rolled, but they won't even return your phone call. Took the tires off, to swap out the Blizzaks for winter with the new car and this is what I found.

Never ever ever will I deal with this Kendall company again. I drove 6 hours from The Valley to buy a 2015 Nissan Pathfinder from them. I was sold the car with the wrong size tires. I was sold the car with bad brakes and rotors. I even purchased the 1 yr extended warranty and they will not even cover the oil changes that I was told was in my warranty. I purchased this car 6/27/2020. Today is 12/7/2020. No way in less than 6 months I have gone thru brakes and rotors and to top it off the thing that keeps my gas door closed broke a week after I had the car. The worst customer service EVER when trying to get them to cover a simple diagnostic and my FREE oil change. These 2 things have cost me $250 out of pocket. Not to mention NOW I have to go out and buy new tires. I would NoT suggest doing business with these guys at all!!!

I would give 0 stars if I could. I was in the process of buying a Certified Pre-Owned WRX from Ken. Kendall’s website said it was a CPO as did the salesman. When I was signing papers, I found out the engine had been replaced. When I questioned it, the finance lady got the salesman and she left for the day. The salesman now remembered the engine had been replaced because he took in the car when it was traded. He recognized his own handwriting on the paperwork. It was a huge red flag but I was still going to go ahead with it because it had a CPO warranty of 7 year/100k mi. I sat there for a good 30 minutes until another guy came to finish the paperwork. We get to the warranty paperwork and it said 6 month/6k mi warranty. When I questioned that, I found out the car isn’t a CPO and was never certified. I overhear the finance guys saying it’s going to cost the dealership $1k to certify it so they would have to raise the price. At this time I stand up and am ready to leave. Another finance guy comes over and tells me it’s not certified but he could sell me a warranty. What a joke of a dealership. I wasted my whole day on false advertising, dishonesty, and disrespect at the end. The balls of these guys to try to sell me a warranty at the end.

I would highly recommend this car dealership. I would recommend going to Kenneth, he was so helpful and a joy to work with! I came to the dealership with a used car from another dealership to check the VIN and ask about the current warranty, he had no problem helping me and didn't try to sell me a car. When he came back with the report I was looking at a used car and he didn't pressure or anything and this car was 3000 over my budget, and if it was a sales man that didn't want to help me when i needed it, I probably wouldn't have asked about my now Pacifia. Kenneth did an amazing job and my family and I couldn't be happier!

Man, these guys were swamped with limited vehicles to choose from. Not the dealerships issue. This is supply issues from the factory. I would give any Fairbanks new car dealership an average rating. They just don't have the hustle of what you find in the lower 48. Very limited competition to make them have an "A Game". They live by the theory, if you don't buy it, someone else will. This truly is a problem in an area that services car sales for an area the size of New Jersey. Lived here over ten years and there is no salesmanship drive.....

Last year I took my RAV4 in for an oil change. I live more than 100 .miles from the dealer, and on my way home all the check engine lights and warning lights come on, and stay on. The engine was running rough. I checked under the hood and saw an empty hole where they forgot to plug something back in. Turned around and drove back to Kendall. They fixed it and reset the warning lights. I asked that they make a note and just make sure that it doesn't happen again. My last oil change in September they did it again! Engine ran so rough that I didn't even make it out of the parking lot, so at least I didn't have to drive very far this time.

The service department man, David went out of his way to get my truck serviced on short notice. I drive 100 miles so when my service light came on he made room and did my 60,000 mile check up. I really appreciate how comfortable he made my experience with Toyota. David was awesome!😃 I was unhappy with a vehicle I purchased and they found me one I just love. They didn’t make me upside down just paid my old truck off which I only had a year and two months and put me in a better truck that works better for me. Truly appreciate all that Kendal has done for me. One more reason I Love Toyota!😎
