This dealership, even though not the closest for us, by far was well worth the drive. Our salesman, Joe Ceplecha, was pleasant, friendly, personable; like talking to an old friend. He worked with us in every way to find the right vehicle, and was very thorough in making us familiar with our new car. Mike Haggerty worked with us as well to answer any questions and was kind enough to set-up our OnStar and sync our phones. They both offered their continuing assistance anytime we have questions in the future. It was an overall very pleasant experience with absolutely no pressure, and we have been recommending them to family and friends. They made us feel like family! Horrible experience. I applied for a car, sat for hours waiting for an approval. They told me their system was down and asked for me to leave and find something else to do for a few hours until they can get their system back up and running. 24 hours laters I’m calling them to find out I wasn’t approved. They literally never got back to me. Usually you can tell when someone is passionate about putting you in a car, this was not the case. Glen — the finance manager is not that great at what he does and barely knows how to negotiate with the lenders. Ridiculous experience.

Scheduled service 1 month in advance, for battery recall and alignment. called ahead to ensure an ev tech would be available. After dropping off at 9am, heard nothing back all day and called at 430pm to learn service center was closed and a tech was never even assigned. Again none of this was communicated to us and a courtesy vehicle was NOT offered. Called back in the morning and was told someone would return our call with a status. Still no courtesy vehicle was offered on day two of a what should have been a 4 hour job. Around noon we heard nothing and called back again to find the vehicle was finally being worked on and should be done by 4. 4pm came and went and we hadn't received a courtesy call verifying work completed. Finally were able to pick the vehicle up on the THIRD day of a 4 hour recall service, no courtesy vehicles offered, no explanation for why nothing had been communicated, and no compensation for the extra 2 days without a vehicle.

Had a left front wheel bearing replaced. Haven't had a chance to compare prices but $598.70 seems high for a installing a wheel bearing. Service Advisors were courteous and professional and made sure I knew the price before the work started. Frank Wurster

My Wife came in for an oil change on our Malibu. Unfortunately the service technician over inflated the tires by three pounds per tire. We had to go to a tire store to take the extra pounds off the tires. The oil on the dipstick the next day was brown, so maybe it was not drained well or the old filter was left on. There wasn't a 24 point inspection report page given, only an add to buy a new car. I got all this for a charge of 69 dollars, which was not worth it. I will try another Chevy service department closer to my house next time.

The lease was up on my second Chevy in six years, so I returned to the pros at Haggerty Chevrolet in Glen Ellyn. I would like to sing the praises of Chris Rokosh, a Service Advisor in the Collision Center at Jerry Haggerty Chevrolet in Glen Ellyn. I took my car to him today without an appointment for a problem related to the passenger-side mirror on my Chevy Equinox. He came outside in the freezing cold, examined the mirror and came up with a solution that fixed the problem at a very reasonable price. Moreover, the problem was fixed that same day while I waited in the Lounge area. This is not my first good experience with the Collision Center--all of them have been extremely positive. Haggerty Chevrolet, please do what you can to recognize Chris for his wonderful customer service. I will certainly spread the word.

I just bought a 2022 Tahoe RST from Joe Ceplecha at Jerry Haggerty Chevrolet in Glen Ellyn, IL. I had been to several other dealerships trying to find one and all were selling well above MSRP due to low supply and high demand. The Service Manager Chris Caccitolo was "hands on" being sure that my service experience was done fast and efficient. My SUV was returned to me cleaned inside and out. Stay CLEAR. Don't take your car to get serviced here and let me tell you why. This whole experience started a few weeks ago when my girlfriends check engine light came on. A few days later they did their checks and determined the work that had to be done was covered by the warranty. AWESOME.. but they also stated that the car was hit while at the shop and would have to stay longer. Not a big deal, accidents happen! They made the situation right and fixed the damage. We got the car back a week later they did a fine job fixing the damages. No issues with that. Two days go by and the check engine light came back. We took it back in and they determined it was the battery. We agreed to swap it out. I just picked up the car today. When I got home I verified that the battery was indeed swapped out. When I looked I noticed an outward dent on the hood of the car. When I popped the hood on the heat shield right above the battery there's a puncture right under where the dent is. (see Pictures) Almost as if someone slammed the hood of the car with a tool still under there. I am truly upset and left a voicemail with the GM of the store. I feel like im a pretty laid back person and if they would have informed me of this damage I wouldn't be writing this review. I know its a Saturday and probably won't get a response until monday but as of right now they have damaged the same car twice. I will update review once this situation gets rectified. UPDATE: It's a few weeks later. Although I was really unhappy earlier with the craftsmanship of their employees (and still am) Management was a completely different story. They fixed the damage the second time along with the check engine light and reimbursed us for some of the work that was performed on the car. Although management was very professional, we will no longer be taking our car here nor will I advise anyone else to.

I purchased a Toyota Highlander over the weekend and it was such a great experience! Buying a car is usually such a pain, but I did my research on this car and haggerty and their team really did have the cheapest price for their Toyota. Other than the price the staff was friendly and professional. I dealt with Joe Ceplecha and his sales manager Tony. They really helped me get the deal done for this car. They were patient and not pushy with me as I came in twice to make sure this was the car for our family. They had the car cleaned and ready for when I arrived and we worked out a really good deal. The dealership was clean and everyone had their mask on properly. I would recommend anyone who is in the market to really consider them and Joe for their next car buying experience because even after buying the car Joe reached out and made sure I was happy and wanted to know what the wife and kids thought of the new family car. Went to shop for a new vehicle 3 weeks ago. Sales person was Bruce who is new at Jerry Haggerty Chevy. Bruce couldn’t find keys to a truck we were interested in. Went inside sat down with the sales manager named Joe regarding what what my husband was looking for. Joe said they would need to research around to see if there was a truck we are looking. Bruce and Joe both told us to keep in contact with them if there were updates. After a week, we called and left 4 messages for Bruce to call us back. Not only in voicemail but with an actual person. No return calls at all. Called today and spoke with Joe. Joe stated they turned it over to their commercial sales. Joe asked if they ever called which they never did. The point was Bruce never returned any of our calls. Absolutely No Respect for serious customers. Never would recommend this dealership.
Mrs Rosier, First of all I would like to apologize for your poor experience at our dealership. Yes, Bruce is a new employee and was in training when he greeted you and your husband that day. Since Bruce was new and because you and your husband were interested in a specialized 3500 commercial vehicle, it was determined that our commercial department would intervene in the process and take over for Bruce. Our commercial manager, Ray Vine, immediately called your husband and was not able to speak with him so he left a voicemail for him. So to say that we did not reach out to try and earn your business is not entirely accurate. Could we have done a better job and made the process smoother? Absolutely! And we understand that our lack of better follow up obviously upset you and cost us your business. For this we are all very sorry for at the dealership. Thank you for your review as it will help us correct some communication issues between departments at our end which hopefully means this situation can be avoided in the future. My experience with Jennifer in the Service Dept. was very positive. Although the Service Dept. did not have the qualified staff to work on my vehicle on a Saturday, she was able to have someone look at my truck and verify that there was something wrong and needed to be serviced. I had a MIL light come on in my truck, I checked the codes (I own a well respected auto repair shop in Wheaton), and saw that once again my DEF heater in the tank had failed. I had replaced this unit about 3 years ago, but in doing research on it, I saw that GM was offering an extended warranty on it due to high failure rate. It also had a code for one of the NOx sensors, but with the DEF system not working due to the bad heater, this may well be a false code. I explained all this to the service writer on drop off. I had called to make an appointment, was told to bring it in at 930am on Thursday and I should wait for it, I asked if I could drop it off Wed. afternoon and it could be repaired on Thursday, the lady assured me that would work great. I got a call about 2pm Thursday afternoon from another service writer, he told me "we have to order 2 NOx sensors for your truck", I told him no, if they would need to be replaced, I would do it at my shop, I just needed the reductant heater #1 replaced per the extended warranty I dropped off with the truck. I was told he would try to get it done before the weekend, I said "not today", he said "not a prayer". They did get it done Friday afternoon, but man, poor communication, false promises, etc. and trying to upsell me when they know who and what I am. I have to say, I was pretty disappointed in the whole thing. Experiences like this just show me why our customers come to our shop and don't want to go back to the dealer when it is not necessary.

Joe C. and the crew at Jerry Haggerty Chevrolet were a pleasure to work with. We had been looking for a very specific car for a long time and we found one at their dealership and at a GREAT price. We called them on a Friday afternoon, we were able to go their that evening to test drive the car and ended up buying it. The whole process from start to finish probably took 1.5 hours. They are very professional, I was running late due to an accident on expressway and still did the service. Everyone was so polite from the person who called to set up the appointment the service people and the manager who allowed me to still come even though I was late. I purchased a 2019 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali Crew Cab 6.2L engine from Jerry Haggerty Chevrolet in October 2021. I have already had to bring the vehicle in because of issues (the “Key Left in Vehicle” alert continues to operate while it is deactivated in the settings, and the articulating powersteps stopped working). Unfortunately, the service department was not able to correct the “Key Left in Vehicle Alert” issue, they charged me a diagnosis fee of $180.00 to tell me the hinges on the powersteps need lubricating, and the fee would be $1200.00. In addition, Service Advisor, Jennifer Pascoe, is the most unprofessional Service Advisor I’ve ever dealt with. She is impatient, rude, has terrible listening skills, and she’s careless. After I declined the work recommendation, and paid the diagnosis fee, I walked outside to my vehicle and discovered Jennifer left the windows down, doors unlocked, and the tailgate down. Fortunately, nothing was stolen from my vehicle. By the way, this is the second time Jennifer Pascoe has been my Service Advisor, and both experiences have been terrible. I understand there may be shortage of people to hire, but I believe there are much better options available.

Got a tire rotation & the "mechanic" did not tighten the lug nuts. I drove a half block & felt like the tires were going to fall off. When I came back, the service person told me it was because my tires had wear on them. I have always had my car serviced at a Chevrolet dealer. Usually at Advantage Chevrolet, but thought I'd give Haggerty a try since it was convenient to work. Never again. Never.
Ms Grau, It is unfortunate that you insist on claiming that our technician did not tighten your lug nuts after we clearly demonstrated that the issue you were experiencing was due to a rear tire inner belt which had abnormal wear. The tire rotation we performed repositioned the rear tire to the front. This is what you were feeling that caused you to assume that the "lug nuts were loose." After verification that the lugs nuts were not loose and to prove our point, we switched the tires back to their original positions and the feeling of the "tires falling off" stopped. As we said, you need a new tire. We even offered to discount the tire and mount and balance the tire free of charge to you. You declined unfortunately. As we explained, the other option you have is to possibly return to the facility that sold you the tires and explain that a belt in one of the tires has gone bad and ask them what they are willing to do to help you possibly including a replacement and a prorated refund for the defective tire. Again, we are sorry that you didn't believe our diagnosis however we would like again to suggest that you get that tire replaced before it causes larger problems for you. This was our first road trip since the pandemic, and being informed by on star that there may be a serious issue really made me uncomfortable and extremely anxious about a service repair at a dealership 1000 miles from home. I was not sure if things were going to be taken care of properly, and also may have felt vulnerable to an outrageous bill and being taken advantage of, not to mention that this is taking place on a holiday weekend but the service representative Jennifer was kind, understanding, but yet straightforward with how we will get this situation resolved the best way possible, the professional demeanor, conduct, comfort level, and just being realistic of and with the situation, meant so much, basically Jennifers personality and conduct was what stands out from all other services appointments in the past not to mention the fast repair and the great experience I had. I definitely would recommend Haggerty service with more service representative employees like Jennifer, I will remember Haggerty service not only for the excellent repair but the excellent customer service by a text book example of how a service representative should conduct one self, I personally am thankful and would like to express my level of extreme satisfaction with all areas of Haggerty Chevy service.

The past couple of weeks I've been shopping for crew cab trucks online and tried to avoid going to the dealership because we all know you get the same feeling as you would going to the dentist office! Thought I found a deal at not 1 but 2 Zeigler dealership but of course price listed on site is never the price they offer when you get there! BUT Jerry Haggerty in Glen Ellyn WOW, hands down the best experience I've ever had!! I spoke to Jeff Schlenger and inquired on a truck's low online price. I told him lets not BS, honor this price and we'll get a deal done today. Couple of hours later his Manager text me invoice price with his signature which matched the online price!! I have only had 2 great car buying experiences in my life, one in the 1990’s at CarMax and the other, with Haggerty. Both were great experiences and the efficiency was about the same but there was one major difference. Haggerty made it personal! Was doing my research for a Silverado 1500 and visited several other dealers all of whose were charging more than the MSRP. The latest being Kays Chevrolet where they up charged an additional 10% over MSRP. Stay away from those snakes. The minute I walked onto the lot I was greeted by Joe C (sales person) and right off the bat, I could tell, this was going to be different. No pressure, go tricks, no venomous snakes! Paul was very knowledgeable of the truck we were interested in and made sure we knew all of the differentiating factors between the various trims. We pulled the trigger and decided to go with a model we needed and wanted. Michael Haggerty showed jumped in and Again, I had a warm impression from Michael and not once did anyone try to bamboozle us, pull the rug out from under our feet, pressure us into buying warranties we didn’t need or other products and services we did not want or need. Instead, Michael laid everything out in front of us allowing us to make an informed decision. Mike was straight to the point, showed us the numbers that actually made sense and not only earned our business, but our respect. The whole process of buying the vehicle from Haggerty was pleasant and I will be returning! This was one of those experiences that will set the bar for future purchases! It is unfortunate that a 2006 Corvette with only 4666 miles had to be towed twice to the dealership to replace the shifter assembly. The first General Motors shifter assembly installed was defective , I am waiting to see if there will be any problems with the second new shifter assembly. The Ac Delco battery also needed replacement after only three years.

I absolutely loved our Sales Associate! I dread car buying like literally hate it but with Chuey it was different. He instantly gave me a feeling of calm. His quiet non pushy nature was refreshing. He was able to answer my questions with confidence and if didn't know something he asked someone else (thats true intelligence). Best experience hands down I have EVER had.

Sales was amazing. Service advisor rude and got loud with me. Only had truck 2 weeks and 2021 silverado engine has knock(4k miles) I was frustrated he kept telling me they couldn't do anything because techs were on strike, wanted me to take truck home and Schedule Service when they were done striking. They did give me a loaner car. So Service Manger called and told me I will be dealing with him directly from now on. I'm changing the review to 4 stars and we will see how it goes.
