Buying a home as a first time home buyer can be very frustrating and overwhelming but Jason and his team at American Pacific Mortgage guided me through each stage of the process. If I needed to talk to Jason or his team directly they were just a quick phone call a way and my questions were always answered in a timely fashion. They also provided me with helpful emails and home buyer videos to help educate me on buying a home. Communication is the hallmark of great service and I appreciate American Pacific Mortgage going above and beyond in helping me to own my dream home. I could not recommend Jason more! If there was a way to give 50 out of 10 stars I would do it because he absolutely went above and beyond to help us throughout the entire home buying process. Jason was always available and patient to answer our millions of questions as first time home buyers. As everyone knows buying a home, is a intensely stressful process but Jason helped us through the whole thing and made us feel like we were in good hands with someone who had our best financial interest at heart. He provided us with the best possible service and education and if I had to do it all over again there's no one else I would ever use or recommend.

Jason and his team were incredibly helpful through every single step of the process. As a first-time homebuyer, I was incredibly appreciative of Jason answering all of my questions with clarity, patience and kindness. He moved quickly to make sure we didn't fall behind on our timeline for purchasing a home and even set up a call with us on his day off to make sure we stayed on track. We worked with Jason and his team to buy our first house. It was a tough process, especially with the way the housing market is currently, but Jason and his team made the process smooth and easy to understand for new home buyers, and the APM team kept in touch constantly. He took time to explain all the loan details so we could pick the right house for our budget, and was always available and easy to reach when we had questions. Jason and his team are great! I first spoke to Jason about 5 months ago while shopping around for possible mortgage lenders (we were first-time homebuyers). Jason is very professional, personable, and helpful. He was great with explaining our different loan options, and the preapproval process was extremely smooth and quick - a matter of a few days. We started shopping for houses a couple of months later, and Jason was always very responsive, including updating our preapproval immediately when we had to increase the amount a little due to rising home prices. After we had our offer on a house accepted, Jason's team was communicative and fast in their work. Jason and his whole team picked up phone calls or immediately called back, responded quickly to emails, and were very clear about all the documentation, credit scores, interest rates, monthly payments, closing costs, and all else. We closed on our house a day earlier than the original estimate. I'm highly satisfied with our experience and would definitely recommend Jason Mata. Jason also recommended Keri Sternberg as a realtor for the Sacramento area, and I would highly recommend her as well (I'll write her a separate review).

My husband and I purchased our first home in Dec 2021. We decided to go with American Pacific Mortgage after evaluating 4-5 other lenders. Jason Mata and his team worked expediently to gather the required documents and meet our loan contingency within two weeks. We closed in the expected timeframe after a 45 day escrow period. We very much appreciate Jason working with us to understand various steps and fees throughout the closing process. Huge shout out to Tim Maghan on Jason's team who patiently explained a lot of finance-related intricacies to us as new homeowners!! Overall we would be happy to work with Jason Mata and his team again!

We would not be home owners right now if not for Jason's help. He and his team were amazing through the entire process. My wife and I worked previously with two other brokers who told us we wouldn't qualify for mortgage assistance programs. Jason proved them both wrong. Jason pointed out a couple things we could do to quickly improve our credit scores, and then found several programs that allowed us qualify for high enough funding for us to get into the home price range we desired. He worked miracles with us that left us still amazed that we were able to buy the home that we ended up getting. Our realtor also said she has never worked with a mortgage company as good at what they do as Jason and American Pacific Mortgage. Needless to say we are big fans of his.

Had a fantastic experience buying a new home as a first time homebuyer with the Jason Mata AP Mortgage team! They were very helpful answering all my many questions regarding the home buying and finance process, and were very knowledgeable regarding the local market. Appreciate their help and expertise explaining and navigating the different CalHFA first time homebuyer assistance loans. Had a smooth experience from getting the pre-approval letter to closing! I vetted a few lenders but ultimately choose to work with Jason Mata and American Pacific Mortgage because from the very first convo he and his team were kind, communicative and incredible helpful and transparent. I used a downpayment and closing cost assistance program to help bridge the gap of what I had saved / what I would need to close in an incredibly difficult market (San Francisco). They were knowledgeable of the program and made what could have been a difficult transaction go smoothly and got me into my home before the Christmas holiday. Whether it’s your first, second or thirteenth time purchasing, a lot of emotions come up and I really can’t speak highly enough of their professionalism and empathy throughout the entire process.

I switched to AP mortgage from another lender with around 14 days left to close and Jason and his team were quick to help! They were diligent with the documentation and keeping me updated with urgent tasks to make sure we close on time.
