I had the opportunity to purchase a Tacoma Parlor Guitar through J&S and what a pleasure from start to finish dealing with Roberto! From the negotiation to paying for and shipping the guitar the service and interaction were top notch the entire way. Roberto was fun and engaging the entire time and kept me updated with prompt phone calls and texts to explain everything that was going on from his end. As far as the negative reviews posted about J&S well read them and think for yourself these people aren't the brightest and wanted something for nothing and left a bad review? Nonsense. Two fingers up Roberto.....my thumbs of course!

I called in just asking a simple question. I’ve never pawned anything before, so I was just asking how much would it be to pawn my kindle fire. The person on the phone had an attitude. He told me the price on Amazon for the new on is 40 and asked what was I trying to get. Which I understood and thought I would get it at that price so I said about 40. He told me why would he when he get it on Amazon for 40. He’ll only give me 10. I told him oh okay. Then he said okay and hung up on me. This was my first experience and sadly will be my last.

had a very good experience when visited yesterday. i had a gold ring, a bracelet, and a pendant necklace that i wasn't expecting to get more then 60 dollars for but he gave me $225 dollars for my items. i was very satisfied. i recommend anybody looking to get rid of their gold or jewelry to visit them

Had my jewelry repaired here many times, including my engagement ring. I would trust no one else. Their workmanship is always the finest. I found J & S with the help of Google. I was looking for necklace for my girlfriend for a decent price. I walked in and was greeted by the gentleman, working. He told me to let him know if I needed to look at anything. He was pleasant and took the time for some small talk while I was looking. I found the necklace and handed over my credit card. After ringing me up, he informed me he had taken an extra $10.00 off the price. This was very kind of him and I don't know of any other stores that would do that. He then took the extra time to nicely box up the necklace for me. I would not hesitate to go back in the future. Very professional business with great customer service. Thank You J &S.

Watch was fitting to big so I took it to James & Sons Jewelers in Olympia Fields and In a matter of minutes it was fixed. In and out and on my way. Love the convenience and the turn around time plus everyone was great!! Need a watch repair or jewelry come check them out!

The absolute worst. DO NOT SELL GOLD OR SILVER HERE. I called to ask at what prices they were buying gold and silver eagles. They said call back in 10 mins. I drove over instead. They offered $50 under spot price for my gold eagles (4 in plastic sleeves) and $1 under spot for my silver eagles (40 in cases). That’s robbery! He claimed gold price fell $80 last week, which is a lie. I follow the markets and was simply looking to move some physical into crypto since the crypto market fell by about 8%. I drove to the coin shop on 88th Ave in Tinley and this guy was what all business owners should be. He told me he had a lot of eagle inventory so he wasn’t looking to buy, but he called his buddies, on speaker, over on 123rd and Cicero. They quoted $50 OVER spot for the gold eagles and $4 OVER spot foe the silver eagles. All tallied, that’s $1,000 more than this shop was offering. This place looks to take advantage of people who are not educated or informed on the market. This vultures. You’ve been warned. Go to either of the other shops I mention above and avoid this place at all costs.

Not many places, especially pawn stores deserve 5 stars but this place does! For all that are concerned with COVID, the store was clean and they’re following all CDC requirements/ recommendations. But back to business: the staff is professional, had great customer service and gave what I thought was a fair price. If you’re looking to actually make a sale or loan for valuable items come here. The only reason I would say do not come here is because this is not a tacky pawn shop filled with junk! The shop is full of valuable items, that are clean and taken care of!

First time selling here and I must say that my experience was one of a kind! These two gentlemen were so welcoming and made you feel at home - not to mention we got lots of laughs in as well! I had a great experience with both the owners, great guys, I brought a motorcycle there, they gave me a great deal. They really seamed to care about the sale. This is my first motorcycle purchase, they gave me alot of first hand information about safely riding my new bike. They helped me to load it and tie it down . Great guys, great shop. I will return.

I was coming across Governor's Hwy & Vollmer Rd., I spotted a Deli and decided a good sandwich was what I needed, as I moved toward the Deli Market, my thoughts were interrupted as I passed by J & S Gold & Loan. I made the decision to go inside to look around and was greeted by Greg, as I had questions about a few Coin Booklets and my interest in the Acoustic Guitars. It didn't take long for Greg to sell me on this Guitar, he was knowledgeable about the Ventura Brand which was good enough for me, great customer service is something I learned from my grandfather , great customer service is what I got from Greg, on my first visit. I shall return!! And maybe pick up that sandwich from the Deli as well.

This is by far the best Pawn shop in the area. It's not even close comparatively to the competition in the area. The shop gives you the top prices for your items so you are never leaving disappointed. The manager Roberto is a great guy to work with on any of your items. They are very good with grace periods for missed pay dates which helps tremendously. I highly recommend going here if you are at all thinking about pawning/ selling an item.

Exceptional service! Today was my first time doing business with J &S Gold & Diamond Exchange. I must admit I was a little nervous and a bite hesitant. I was fearful of being cheated or taken advantage of. When I first walked into the establishment, I was promptly greeted.
