Independent Federal Credit Union S Scatterfield Rd, Anderson

In my profession, we must get verification of accounts from this CU for our elderly residents who are this CU's clients. This is required annually by HUD. Failure to get this can result in residents being terminated from housing assistance. This CU is the WORST CU we deal with. We fax the verifications in, they ignore them for weeks and months at times - even when we specifically note the verifications. They obviously could care less about their "members", to the point that they can't fill out one simple document and fax it back to our office...even though it could result in their Member losing their home. Non existent customer service by phone - menu followed by no answer. Can't get an answer by fax, can't get anyone on the phone. Please, put your funds anywhere else. STONGLY recommend against membership.

Wasn’t too thrilled when I went to cash a check and was charged $5 on $50 without being told that would happen. Sent the check and my ID through the shoot and waited and was never spoken to till the cash came back and was told to sign by the “x” I was looking to get a local bank account since I just moved here and Chase is not handy to me anymore, guess I’ll mark this place off my list now, and will go elsewhere.

Would give 0 stars if I could. They’re absolutely terrible. The customer service here is atrocious and I don’t think anyone is qualified to be employed here—in any department.

I love my bank they are awesome they treat you so well there polite there caring there sweet they will help you through anything to make it easier for you and the most amazing thing they did for me was bought my children Christmas one year because I couldn't my kids woke up with Christmas and smiling faces cause of Independent Credit Union you guys are awesome !!!!

I am SO tired of being locked out of my account and no way to fix it. I am sleeping in my vehicle this weekend because I live in TN, my account has been froze for the 3rd time this year now for out of state activity. There is a note on my account stating I LIVE IN TENNESSEE!!!! THIS IS SO WRONG

After having my debit card hacked 5 times in 5 years with another company Janet White helped me and my husband start accounts with Independent Federal credit union. Now I have peace of mind and I know my money is protected. Got a call at 9 am on a Sunday of a possible hacker on my account and they caught it right away and stopped them before they could do any damage. Thanks so much for making us feel secure. I'm extremely happy with my new credit union and the people working there.

IFCU has been the worst bank I have ever had the unfortunate experience of dealing with. On multiple occasions, my money has been made unavailable to me and the only reason I have been given was "maintenance". This, combined with their horrible customer service and the nasty stomach feeling you get after speaking with each of them, has led me to seek other financial options. If you are looking for a small town, friendly bank that you can trust, do NOT use IFCU. They will hold your money for no reason, and spit in your face while they do it (metaphorically, of course, but still pretty damn close). Please avoid using them. I was stuck on the road with my family 60 miles out of town because I ran out of gas and IFCU decided to decline my transaction. We had to wait for 2 hours for another family member to reach us. We're just happy it wasn't cold on 4/29/13. Update: Dealing with a very unfortunate situation with them. Please be wise to avoid this bank. My credit is suffering because they continued to randomly charge overdraft fees for charges AFTER my account was closed.

Constantly having to call to make car payment, but they never answer their phones. Can takes days to return phones calls. Customer service is nice when they do eventually get back to you

I have nothing bad to say. If there is a problem they fix it right away. There customer service is the best. On a scale of 1 to 10 they are a 15. Above and beyond what they have to do.

They're courteous and polite, which makes them good to deal with
