Lampco Federal Credit Union Reviews

Spent an hour on hold. Called 15 minutes before closing, no one picked up until after to tell me they were closed, they have a transfer limit between accounts (6 per month) meaning you can't put money into your checkings when you need it. Even in emergencies unless you call them. I hate this place and I am leaving it as soon as I can. Sometimes their lines are even completely unavailable.

I am so happy I opened up an account with Lampco. Mrs. Barbara Jackson is so kind, smart and wonderful. It is because of people like her, that make money problems seem simple to handle. She gave me some great advice today and I appreciate it so much. Lampco, give her a raise, she deserves it and more. Thank you Mrs. Jackson for your kindness that you give to all.

Tellers and staff are always friendly and helpful however their online and mobile banking is absolute garbage and is the most infuriating thing ever. The banking app and website rarely work when I try to transfer money. They also aren’t open at all on Saturdays.

This place is horrible. They take advantage of young members who do not understand banking. I had a friend open an account here and when she called to get her debit card changed to not allow transactions to go through they didn't bother to tell her even though the transaction wont go through we are still going to charge you $35.00 each time. A branch manager should have respect for all people not just the rich. Taking advantage of children. Sad.

Recently went inside to do business, could not even get through the double doors, as they have installed metal detectors, and intercom system. Wow so much for small town friendly credit union. I had to remove my change, wallet, phone and place on a tiny little tray. The best part was the voice that came on and said " sir please step back to the first set of doors with your daughter and wait until I direct you to come forward and pass through the metal detector" felt like I was going through a prison. Metal detector still went off. Had to show my metal belt buckle and I told the clerk I was not taking my belt off. What a hassle, not to mention scaring my daughter. After my business was done I tried to exit the building only to find the outer set of doors were locked. I pushed several times and noticed a red light beside the door. I turned back and looked at the counter lady and she had a dumb look on her face and then here comes the voice in the sky again " sir please wait to open the door until I unlock it" green light came on and I was able to open the door. Isn't this against fire code? How can I escape if there is a fire or other situation. I will be contacting state fire marshall. I will not be back, and will be closing my account.

I dont understand how they can still even call this place a bank. They have closed all locations except one. Now everytime you need the bank there's 30 other people in line. Literally sitting in line now and have been for over 30 minutes..WORST BANK IN TOWN BY FAR.

They have a bad management system here and poor customer service honestly. An employee canceled my debit card by mistake on her end and months later still have not received a debit card because I was moving 2 days out and they had it mailed to my old address. I had to take all of my money out and take to a new bank to have access to my money to move. And have no access to the money I have in there now because I live 2.5 hours away and guess what, they are closed on Saturdays, go figure. If you call, the person answering doesn't say anything after you say what you need, they just transfer you to someone. Most of the time the person doesnt answer, you leave a message and finally get called back way later. No instant access to money services such as zelle. Do not recommend this place that makes it hard to access your money, at all!

It is what it is. Low interest rates do not allow banks to make money. High rates do. You can’t have it both ways. Now that the democrats are in charge we should see much higher interest rates and a tightening of the credit market. Hopefully inflation will sky rocket and jobs will be lost but whomever keeps their job will also continue to make money and get credit. It’s the dog eat dog world of capitalism. One thing for sure is soon it will be a buyers market in the housing market. As long as you got money and a job the foreclosures will be a blessing

Giving 1 star review because of medal detectors. I shouldnt have to feel like a criminal going into my bank. I am also more comfortable having my gun on me at all times i cant here. If your tellers feel unsafe let them carry or hire a guard. Lampco worries more about employees then customers it appears. I am also unamused my non profit credit union wasted so much money on a system that a couple of guns for the tellers could of done a better job for cheaper. Then you could of used that money on more atms or another branch to expand. Remember what stopped robberies it was a cop you all hired with a gun to work for you all not expensive machines.

Unfortunately, Lampco Federal Credit Union offices have been the target of a couple of robberies. Now, in order to conduct business inside, customers must pass through an airport style metal detector with instructions to remove any metal objects from pockets, etc. This is bad enough (but necessary) at airports but very time consuming and annoying just for simple banking business. I was a member for decades but have closed my account.
