IBC Bank Eldridge Pkwy, Houston

This branch is slow!! They barely have any workers. I called and gave them my information four hours before I arrived for a copy of my bank statements, common courtesy would have been to have them printed and ready before I arrived! Meanwhile, I get to the branch thirty minutes before they closed. They had me waiting for five sheets of paper. IBC bank need to hire more staff because this is unacceptable! I’m glad I don’t bank with them anymore!

Aside from the incompetency of the branch, this is a not a bank that I’d recommend. It it would take me another 20 min to give all examples. But here’s one. Recently, I went to close my account because (1) I live out of state, (2) the online banking app is not very good, and (3) I didn’t care for the bank overall. After I closed my account the first time, I found out 2 weeks later + $35 overdraft fee that my account was NOT closed...even though I had the documentation to show for it & drove from La to do in person. I came BACK to the branch where I found out that the reason it was not closed was because the teller entered in a wrong code which kept the account open with $0.56. Who knew? Reasonable mistake, but NOT MY MISTAKE. Reasonable to ask for the $35 back, right? Wrong! Aside from the helpful young man who was trying to right the wrong, I could tell from the conversation he was having with two senior managers there (who must have been oblivious that I was less than 10 feet away from them) that they weren’t going to budge on accepting fault. Customer service starts at the top - it’s not enough for the people on the floor to be customer service oriented. Anywho, if you’ve read this, looking for a local branch, go to Chase down the street.

This bank is extremely fraudulent the way they do business is laughable. Their customer service is extremely poor and they are so desperate for customers that one of their reps actually came up to me outside and asked me to sign up. They fraudulently charge your account multiple overdraft fees when your account is positive and by the time the transactions do finally go through it enda up falsely charging you several fees RUN AWAY FROM THIS BANK I will be filing a grievance with corporate and on BBB & I agree with previous customers they do steal your money because I have 2 extra fees on my account now that shouldn't be there

GREAT PROFESSIONALISM. WELL TRAINED STAFF. AFRICAN AMERICAN GUY FROM SUGARLAND LOCATION WAS VERY WELL INFORMED AND A PLEASURE TO DO BUSINESS WITH. I WILL BE BACK.

I love IBC, but I hate this branch with unbridled passion. It’s a shame there is no option for zero stars
