Huntington Bank E 2nd St, Rochester

Closed my long standing business account without informing me, transferred over 2000 dollars to a holding center without informing me. Couldn’t get the money back for me in a timely fashion. Claimed they reached out to me-never happened. Claimed they issued a check-never happened. Their manager Phil failed to contact me to resolve this issue despite REPEATED requests to be put in contact with him. Do not ever open an account with this “company” as you’ll end up short thousands of dollars, and a big shrug when you go in to get it resolved. Would give 0 stars if I could. Worst banking experience I’ve ever had.

Huntington Staff at this location are not only "poor" in their knowledge about banking but are also poor at handling simple customer issues, let alone customer courtesy! Rudeness thrives at this location from top to bottom staff! Give it a try and you will experience what I am saying here. Staff at this location care nothing about customer retention but more about how to suck more and more fees from customers without even letting them know that they are being charged those fees in their account! And when you go and question them, they simply ask you to close the account and leave!! I hope this is not just the widespread cultural issue at Huntington but rather an issue with the staff at this location only. I will NOT recommend this bank to anybody.

1.0 star rating 11/30/2016 I've worked a lot with the Rochester branch and their service has really turned south. Recently they have made some errors and as a result I was charged an unnecessary $60 fee. The frustrating customer service calls, long hold times, no resolution, are very frustrating. They admit the fee should be waived but now they want me to write letters, etc. It is just no longer worth my time. I'll pay the outrageous fee and then slowly work to close all my Huntington accounts and never do business with this bank again. They went from the small bank with great customer service to a "big bank" with lousy service in a hurry.

Deposited a check yesterday (8/28/2018) issued by the bank itself. It still does not show in my account yet. So, I called the bank and I was told that it will take few more days to show up but it will get credited as of 8/28. I asked why it takes this long to show up on online, I was told that that is how the loan department works. This deposit was made to pay off the loan amount. My fear is that bank will not charge me for the interest for as many days loan department takes to credit my account. May be loan department needs to look at their processes and improve the timing of posting the transactions in a timely manner.
