This is the worse bank I've ever done business with. I wanted to move my business accounts from a large multinational bank to a small local bank that reinvested in the local community, so I tried this bank out. Unfortunately, they lied about their online business banking functionally and capabilities during the onboarding process, even about specific questions I had asked directly to the person creating my account. After a month of not getting any straight answers, I closed my accounts and left.

I have moved all my personal and business accounts to Horizon. We have had a great experience with their commercial lending department. I have been a customer for almost 10 years. Overall the customer service keeps us coming back, which is far better than the big national banks.

OMG! So here is what you can do here. Are you ready? Nobody is gonna believe me. One can call this bank, and an actual human will answer. Oh wait, it gets even crazier. Then, if need be, a customer can go into their local branch, and....get this....See the exact same person that was on the phone! My search for Bigfoot, Nessi, gnomes, a leprechaun, but most of all, the infamous unicorn is over. 🥺. Because I found the Holy Grail of Banks. Keep up the good work.

I've been banking with Horizon for over 10 years and they are top notch in all respects. Great customer service, always willing to work with me on deals, and clean and modern locations. I wouldn't use any other bank.

We deal with this bank daily, and we have for many years. This is a fantastic group of people to work with who truly take care of their customers. Thank you for the many years you have supported my family personally as well as our business endeavors.

I can't say enough good things about Horizon Bank. They have helped me grow my businesses since 2008 and have always come through when I needed them. Colin and most of the leadership team have been in place for a decade-plus.

Feels like a small town bank with incredible personal service. When I started using them, I was assigned a junior banker, Kristin, who has moved up to Assistant Vice President. Despite her promotions, she continues to manage my account and treat me like I'm their only customer. Change from the megabanks. You won't regret it.

I have banked with first with First Holland Bank and then they were bought out by Horizon for 16 years. We used the Holland location because of the president Aleck Newby the very best banker that we ever have had the pleasure of dealing with. Holland is about 40 min. from us but we drove every Friday to make our deposits, because Aleck knew what banks were suppose to be about. To be there when you got into financial woes and help you out until you got back on feet. Once Horizon took over things changed, we once more became a number Aleck was no longer able to extend help as he once was because his hands were tied by the big guys. Aleck recently left Horizon, certainly a loss on their part. But since he left we have had some bad luck befall us, we first started out trying to deal with the replacement at our branch, he refused to return phone calls, we then contacted the Salado branch "oh were so sorry we will have someone get back with you right away" never received a phone call back, so we contacted the main branch in Austin "oh we are so sorry, that is certainly not what we are about, blah blah blah" have yet to receive a phone call back from them and I have called again and left a message, because conveniently the persons I spoke to before were at lunch at 3:00 in the afternoon and were not available. Have yet to hear back from my voice mail. I have put my money in this bank over the last 16 years and we have not managed our money well, granted but I would think we would still deserve a common courtesy return phone call. As far as I am concerned this would be the very worse choice you could make for a bank. Their lies on their website about how they are all about people, just that lies. Don't waste your time you might as well bank with the big dogs because these people will not appreciate you anyways. If I were ever to win the Lotto I would purchase this bank and fire everyone!

Worst commercial lender we ever dealt with! They delayed while saying 'we'll get it done' and made verbal commitments. Then did a BAIT AND SWITCH with our commercial loan, saying "We'll refi your entire portfolio at prime plus one" but when we went in to sign on the first refi it was at 11%! They said "Its just for a couple months until we can refi your whole portfolio", when I called a couple months later they said "You signed a document at closing that says we don't have any agreements outside of this transaction, so good luck with that." RUN AWAY!

They are the absolute best bank for all your business needs. They are also one of the only banks in Austin that works with Veteran's SBA backed loans.
