When I purchased my condo, I used a larger bank for my loan. When using such a large bank, your file gets shifted to several people and you are lucky if you get a good loan officer that is able to provide you with an update on your loan. The loan with my condo was short of a nightmare. With the purchase of my new house, I was referred to Chas Adams by my realtor. I am really glad she recommended him to me. It took less than 30 days to hear those magic words "clear to close" for my house. Chas is very communicative - never left me hanging waiting on what the status was in the process. I recently had the opportunity to work with Karen Flynn of Homestar Mortgage on my purchase of a house in Rhode Island. Karen is wonderful to work with, and I would be happy to work with her again if the need for a new mortgage arose. Karen's communication with me was outstanding - I always had answers to questions from her immediately or the later that same day if it required any research on her part. Thanks to her promise (and success) getting our clear to close so quickly from when we put our offer in, we were able to purchase a house that we might not have gotten otherwise. However, there is a second reason that I am so happy with the help she provided. Our purchase was contingent on a successful sale of our previous home. In the middle of the process, our buyer was denied his mortgage. I called Karen to let her know what was happening because this would affect our ability to close on our purchase. Her response was to contact our buyer's agent and ask if she could help. Thanks to Karen, our buyer did get a mortgage through Karen, and both the sale of our previous home and the purchase of the new home when through with no problems.

We had an amazing experience. Dennis turned everything around for us in 2 weeks. He is experienced and knows his stuff. Highly recommend this company and work with Dennis.

If there was an option for less than one star I would select that. Steve Tetzner was condescending and completely rude over the phone. I cannot believe how someone can have so little manners. I would never recommend Homestar from that bad experience alone.

We used Chas Adams with Homestar Mortgage to buy our first home and he was wonderful! He was super responsive even outside business hours and managed to get our loan funded in 15 days! I would highly recommend Chas and his team they were a pleasure to work with.

We worked with Adam Ethier on a mortgage and he was just outstanding. My husband and I have been through this process several times and I've never dealt with anyone as knowledgeable and enthusiastic as Adam was. He clearly enjoys the process and he worked very hard for us.

just want to say that regardless how this turns out, I know there couldn't be a better person I would want working on my loan than Adam. Hes been awesome so far and although sometimes it feels like a long wait he will try to get back to you within a reasonable time!
