The process was difficult because they had to work through a lot of issues on both sides of the transaction. Our experience with Nathan, Rachel and Betty at Homestar Financial was way beyond our expectations for our first time purchasing a home. Before starting the loan process, my husband and I were warned by friends and heard some of the horror stories from current homeowners about the whole process, amount of time and the huge amount of paperwork involved in the entire process. Although, we were not exempted from the amount of paperwork(insert smiles here); we respected and understood that his team were very thorough. Which left very little to no room for mistakes. We appreciate them for their professionalism and attention to the loan details. I'm happily writing this review from within our new home. Nathan and Rachel were easily accessible and gave great service. We always felt that they were working hard for our best interests. The only issue we had was that the underwriters kept asking for more forms or for forms we had already submitted or telling us we were done and then asking for more paperwork. Overall, though, we started looking into buying a house (before even house hunting) in early August and closed on our house in early October, so the whole process was really fast! Nathan did a great job of making sure that we were able to go through with buying our first home despite having to crunch a lot of numbers and figure a number of things out, and Rachel was very sweet and personable and helpful. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a lender!

Being a first time home buyer I didn’t really know what to expect but Nathan and his team stayed on top of everything. My realtor DeAndrea was very educated and made the process really smooth, she was open and honest and made me feel comfortable because this is a big decision to make so it was very important to me and her as well.
