I've been banking with Gary and his team at Gulf States for 4-5 years now and love the level of customer service I get when I walk through the door or pick up the phone. Gary and his team are always willing to work with me on all my banking needs. Just wanted to thank him again for helping me recently on my new Elite Mud Boat! Couldn't have made this dream come true without Gary and Gulf States!!

They refused service because I wasn't wearing a mask, yet both of the cashier's talking to each other that were 1-2 feet apart had both of their masks pulled down so their chins were covered, not over mouth or nose. Per the cashier, they don't have to wear masks but customers do. So they are protecting their employees but not customers???

This bank has discriminatory practices that is often missed by others. There is a lack of diversity at this establishment. Over the last couple of years all of the decent and hard working bank employees have disappeared. I would not recommend any person of color to bank here. I was also asked if I was employed during my inquiry about a potential credit card.

We are a very diverse credit union, we have employees of various nationalities. All our other employees that have left our credit union were with us for over 20 years so they are happily retired.

We had a car loan with them. I have a voicemail stating I owed an amount by the 25th of the month. No problem! They repossessed my car on the 20th. When I called and inquired about it, they flat out lied and said they tried to reach me multiple times and even sent emails. There was 1 email sent 3 days after the voicemail I have, to an email address we have never used to contact them with and isnt monitored. No other communication after the 4th of the month. I have been behind on payments before with them and Anna was extremely helpful and worked with me until I was back on track. Now it's someone named Stacy who isnt doing her job, lying and extremely rude to customers. Just save your time and energy and go somewhere else. Unless you enjoy being lied to.

Every time I call I get someone I’ve talked to on the phone everyone’s super helpful, Karen Weiss usually gets my calls and she always goes above and beyond. Great place to bank without any hassle

Gulf States Credit Union has worked with me and given me chances when my credit wasn't the best. It is a small office which benefits its members by actually having the attitude and vibe of a close-knit family. Gary, the President, will speak to any of his members if he is not busy. Debbie has been outstanding when dealing with me and my car purchases. Both Gary and Debbie have taken personal time to ensure that my loans are processed and handled properly. The sugar on top was this most recent car purchase... I had no idea they send out birthday cards and I got a discount on my loan for closing within my birthday month!!! I am so excited!!! Thank you Gary, Debbie, & the Gulf States Team!

"KAREN" in "COLLECTIONS" is a horrible person. She speaks to others in an extremely degrading manner (another PROFESSIONAL, btw--NOT a customer in collections)...I was calling her to make sure someones issue was taken care of-and she proceeded to tell me that I was doing my job wrong (which to be honest, Karen doesn't even know what my job is!!), She says I must not care about my employees--WELL, If I did NOT care about my employees-I probably would not have called to get the issue fixed BUT I do care, and WAS trying to get the issue fixed for MY employee...How was I supposed to know that GULF STATES SYSTEM went down on Friday and effected Direct Deposit??? That is not knowledge I have access to, nor do I want to after this interaction!!! HORRIBLE etiquette, horrible person based on my interactions. She told me I should listen to her because her people call her a life coach??? Well, Karen, I will not be calling you my life coach!!!

I have been a member of Gulf States Federal Credit Union for about 45 years, opened an account for my son when he was just a toddler and now he and his wife have accounts here. So what does that say about this credit union? The people who are employed here have been employees for many, many years, are always smiling and polite, willing to do anything they can to help, and they know you when you walk in the door! I have never been displeased with any transactions with them and am truly honored to be a member here.
