Golden Pawn Lorna Rd, Hoover

Called and asked if I could pay my pawn off one day late since I couldn't get off work in time to pay them on the day it was due. They said no problem. Went in the next day and they charged me an entire other months interest for being one day late. Said they explained this to me over the phone which they did not. I asked if they were okay losing a customer for life over this, he shrugged. I will never be back. Too many other pawn shops around to be treating your customers badly.

Never noticed the pawn shop before, but glad I went in. They have a lot of stuff that I wasn't expecting like lighted beer signs, women's fashion jackets. The lady was very helpful when I was unsure of how pawns worked. Hopefully I won't need to pawn anything again but I will definitely be back as a customer. I was excited they do layaways too There was also a man there, that was very funny. They helped make me feel at ease with my first pawn. (He was very easy on the eyes and tall like I like them lol)

I've purchased 12 guns from them in the past but after today i will never go back. I found the gun I wanted filled out the paper work and the owner noticed the big orange sale stocked that read was $99 is now $55 was the wrong price. He said I will not sell u this gun for that price bc its not missed priced it just had the wrong sticker on it! After arguing with him for a few mins he told me to leave. If your running a businesses make sure your prices are correct and if you mess up eat the loss and make the customer come back!

Dirty inside,rude and inexperienced employees. They dont know anything about what theyre selling. I like going into pawn shops looking for vintage video games. The sega master system I was looking at was missing video cords. (I have the cord at home) asked if they would knock a little off the price since it was missing the cord and they tried to tell me it was complete. When I asked what hooks it to tv knowing she wouldnt be able to show me she said I was being difficult and told me to leave. GLADLY LADY. Wish I could give 0 stars

Will rip you off. go to pee wee pawn will give you a honest amount of money for your item .i wouldn't even give a one star but had to for review.they are not honest at all be careful fulling with these people

Lacks customer service. Man closest to the door never speaks and looks at you crazy as if your bothering him by being there. No one ever gets up to help you even if I seem interested in anything! this is the 3rd time i’ve been in this store only because of the fun inventory but I will never be back after this.

These guys really went out on a limb for me. Yesterday was the last day to pay my pawn before the items would be put out for sale. My friend got there right before they closed and found that he didn't quite have enough, and couldn't get more from the bank. They graciously allowed us to come back today, and one man (I really wish I'd gotten his name, to give him kudos) specifically made sure that my stuff didn't get put on the sales floor. They even waived the late fee that they could have charged us for not paying yesterday. I am so grateful for how much they helped us out when they didn't have to. They could have sold my stuff, they could have charged us massive late fees, and they would have been perfectly within their rights to do so, but they went out of their way to be so kind and helpful. Thank you guys so much.

Called today to ask about trading a gold bracelet, the guy told me how much I wanted for it, so I said I would like its weight in gold. When I said the number he got an attitude and hung the phone up on me. I'm not a gold expert, I just have expensive taste. But being hung up on is just something that you don't do professionally. So be prepared to practically give away anything that you wish to sell to them. Good luck.

Stopped in on Friday and the lady helping me was really nice. I must have asked her 25 questions and she was really patient & kind. Lot of variety in the store and great prices. I will definitely be back and recommend highly!

All I have to say is rude, rude, and rude. If I can give any advice it seems like he has a lot of family problems that he brings to work I would not pawn or sell anything I would go into any other pawnshop besides this one. Just absolutely pitiful!!
