I have been a customer of this pawn shop for about three years now. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THEM AND RECOMMEND!! They have an incredible staff that is knowledgeable and extremely helpful. I have never had a bad experience in my three years of doing business with them! On countless occasions they have helped me through late payments, fair pricing and cost, and interest. I was helped by a lovely lady name Karrie. She helped me sell some jewelry and made sure I got a good price. If I decide to sell again I'll be coming back here.

The staff at Gene's was very helpful and helped me and my wife pick out a wonderful upgrade wedding ring. Katherine was the salesperson that I worked with and she was super helpful. I went back again after my wife and I discussed our options and spoke with Michelle the manager, she was super patient and was also very helpful through the process. Great place for jewelry shopping on a budget.

Just Talked to Rob at Genes pawn about the Generator that I had on layaway. I got kind of heated because I was out almost 500 dollars on a Generator. But talking to him i understand more of the layaway policies they have to go by and now I fully understand. He was real professional about talking to me and coming to a agreement that would satisfy us both!! Im giving them 5 stars now because I definitely think no one else would of called me and try to figure something out.

It was a joy to visit the Goose Creek location. The staff is wonderful and they are under new management which really cares about their customers. I was politely greeted by the staff and the manager. The staff has great knowledge about the products they are selling. I bought my wife a beautiful bracelet and was given a great deal. I like Gene's pawns shop. I like the store in Moncks Corner better than Goosecreek! I dont like I guess the lady with the blond hair. She is very tall. I think she is very shady and rude, but everyone else their are very friendly and caring .

I came in to have a necklace appraised. They cleaned it for free. It broke under cleaning and they replaced the clasp at their expense. I tried to pay many many times to show my appreciation and was told to just leave a review. Thank you employees at gene's pawn shop.

Worked with Katherine and her manager (who's name I didn't catch) but they gave me an awesome deal on a Ryobi toolset. Fast and friendly communication through Facebook where it was posted. In store was equally excellent, easy to find and see from the road, plenty of parking, and inside was full/ crowded but clean. Katherine knew exactly where the tools were and helped me check them over for function and was happy to help me and get me on my way. Will gladly do business again and I'll be keeping an eye out for more great deals from them!

Went to Gene’s to get rid of some old jewelry that was not being worn and get some extra cash.... was waited on by a lovely young lady named Katherine. She was amazing!! She was so friendly and kind to me and my mom. She was a absolute joy to talk to and have helping us! I highly Recommend her and Gene’s pawnshop. Was treated very fairly and given fair prices for what I sold. The other employees there were also very nice. Also found a beautiful new piece to add to our jewelry collection.

I enjoyed how clean this place was for a pawn shop, as I've been to a few pawn shops deal hunting over the years. Found an insane deal on a divers watch, and most prices on other things were pretty fair. Highly recommend for general browsing of needs before heading anywhere else!

I have bought from here a few times. This location is a bit smaller than the one on Rivers Avenue. However, you never know what kind of deals you'll find until you go on in. Sometimes I see items posted on Craigslist from this location and it is helpful when searching for music instruments.

TAYLOR Sold me a Bissell Carpet Cleaner. Drove an hour being told it was "NEW". When I arrived, TAYLOR showed me the unit. Realized it wasn't new and had missing parts. We tested the suction, which worked, so I purchased because the price was fair. After getting home realized the Carpet cleaner wheels DON'T ROLL. It will now cost me as much money to fix as a purchasing a new unit. Never would have purchased a completely defective machine. She's now offering "store credit" only for a defective machine that she initially told me was NEW. DO NOT SHOP HERE. Complete CROOKS. SHADY, Terrible Customer Service!

I went to Gene's recently and i was not impressed. Their was only 2 people working and 1 of them would rather eat their food rather than taking care of customers. The other employee had a bad attitude and basically low balled my item i was wanting to pawn so i would go away. They need employees that have better attitudes and actually know about the items their buying. I wont be returning.

They had everything I needed and some things I didnt. Even got an xbox game for 25$$ less than used at gamestop. Karrie was so helpful. She helped me find the best system and she even gave me a bundle discount. Amazing store. Amazing employees. Recomend to all.

Call the several pawn shops asking if they took a boxing gear. I had a new pair of Title boxing gloves along with sport bag that came with it $100 value I was only looking to pawn for 30 or 40$ and the lady I spoke with on the phone knew this situation and told me to bring them by. Upon arrival the man that I spoke with at the counter said they don't typically take this item and I explained the situation he then looked it up on the computer for the value in such. Nothing to do with the value of what he found but he refused to give me an offer over $5 not due to price due to being a difficult item to sell if I were to not come back to retrieve. Proceeded to give me business flyer of such items I could bring and I handed it right back and let them know this was a poor business move on their end barely offered me the gas money it took just to get their rather they have just told me upfront like the other pawn shops that I denied me bringing that on the phone at least they handled it right not their fault but this business does not deserve even a one-star.

I have been studying pawnshops in the Charleston area since November 2014. For customer service, this is probably one of the worst locations that I have done business with. The service at this location is as poor as Money Man, any Money Man. Questions that I have asked directly to individuals in this store have been answered dishonestly. Kelly discussed my business information in front of a customer. Do yourself a favor and go to Gene’s Jewelry and Pawn on Rivers Avenue, near the Remount Road crossing, and to Lowcountry Pawn in West Ashley. During my 4+ year study, these two locations have the overall best customer service in the Charleston area!
