The Gaylord Hansen team was amazing to work with. Professionalism, transparency, and an extreme sense of urgency to do what needs to get done on time. They also have a great portal to upload all necessary documentation to help maintain data security. If I had more stars I would score the company higher. They helped us purchase a dream second home and we couldn't be happier. I've worked with many other lenders in past and these people are by far the best! I won't think twice about working with them again.

I had an excellent experience coordinating my home loan through the Gaylord Hansen Mortgage team. I had the pleasure of working with Julie and Christine as my loan officer and loan manager, and I cannot express what a phenomenal job they did helping me with my move and purchasing my new home. Julie really understands the military specifics of moving and was a huge help in getting things taken care of promptly and with great communication.

John and his team, including Christine were absolutely incredible, from day 1 through closing, of a long home-buying search for us. John was absolutely fantastic at explaining our different options for loans that would meet our needs with genuine honesty, and as first time home buyers for helping us along, providing us super quick (at any hour!) pre-approval letters for our offers, and updating numbers for each home offer, all the way until we got an offer accepted. The rates offered were honest and not hidden behind additional fees-for-points and were lower than other lenders who we spoke to. We were *never* worried about our loan not being processed within our timeline, allowing us to write expedited timelines into our offers to edge-up our competitiveness. From the moment our offer was accepted, Christine was on top of the entire process, telling us exactly what we needed to do, and by when, and continuously updated us, patiently explaining things along the way. I have watched Reina Gutierrez take fantastic care of multiple members of my networking group (BNI Del Mar) over the past several years. Jeff was incredible to work with for our home loan, every little question I asked got an extremely detailed response in a short amount of time. Once we started making offers he made every effort to help our offers get accepted and was able to accommodate every request the sellers made in the ultra-competitive market. When our offer did get accepted Christine from the closing team was incredibly responsive and attentive, enabling us to meet the demands of the seller to close escrow in just over 2 weeks. This was our 9th loan with Steve and his Team. It’s really difficult to describe how professionally they have handled every one of those transactions. There are always last minute hiccups in loan transactions, but they have always been dealt with by Steve’s Team; no drama! Refinanced with Jeff and could not be happier. Fast, efficient, knowledgeable, super transparent of the options, got us a great rate, reasonable fees... just a great experience for something that can be stressful. Went with LoanDepot over JPM Chase who had our loan in the first place and their refinance process was the opposite of working with Jeff.

I do not like leaving bad reviews but in some cases it seems necessary to help others. I was referred to Garrett Tyler for a loan and he responded initially, I filled out the complete credit application to start the process, he ran my credit and then stopped responding to me. As running credit can also hurt your score while you are looking for a home, this was extremely disappointing. Any response would have been appreciated.
