I initially chose a different bank in town and my loan officer went MIA at the worst possible time. Jennifer Cook and the 417 Home Loans team came to the rescue and was able to immediately assist me and lock in a rate. Their online system was extremely user friendly and the instructional videos and online upload system for documents made the process very quick and easy. Caitlin Pierson and Scott Sallee were also sending me tips and correspondence via e-mail and we successfully closed on our new home this week. Jason Mooneyham at 417 Home Loans answered my emails late at night, on weekends, and on vacation. I don't think he slept. The appraiser was moving slow and I wasn't going to be able to move into my home before my lease was up. Jason paid the appraiser, to move up the appraisal process. His business gave me a 1700 dollar credit, just to help with closing. When it looked like I wasn't going to get approved for the loan, Jason helped me figure out how to lower my debt, so I could qualify. Jason even changed the type of loan, to help me qualify for my home. He wasn't judgmental. He was always patient. He treated me like a person.

He was originally recommended to me from my real estate agent in Springfield, MO, but I called upon him again when we moved to the Kansas City, MO area. Turns out that agent really liked him, too, saying he was so polite and she loved the electronic updates Flat Branch/Jason sends out every step of the way. He is very thorough and responsive to questions, and everything went smoothly both times. Working with Flat Branch after closing is pretty easy as well, I contacted them at some point with escrow questions and that was simple to do. I hope not to move again anytime soon, but if I do, I will call Jason again! Highly recommended.

I would give them 10 stars if I could. Jennifer Cook was so kind and helpful and was always so quick to answer our questions. Night and day difference from our previous experiences with other lenders. They helped us when the big banks were just jerking us around. Closing fees were also significantly lower than our previous lender, and the rates were just as low. A win-win for us! Super fast close. Great communication and customer service. Susan Theroff has a new name karen blowoff. She took soo long the home I was interested in sold due to her going on vacation. No response to my calls after her vacation. Seems here computer was working she just dnt how to use it. I made it easy for her with 30 k in bank and she could not secure a loan. She thought she we were were fist time home buyer’s and shouldn't be allowed to make those calls without a higher up checking her work. Im pre approved with my bank I was just trying to get a second or third option but thanks for nada. Mabe it’s because im hispanic. Or mexican in her eyes im not worth being treated like a respectful human. Just return a call for god sakes.
