created a new checking account there and it went somewhat smoothly. a guy named Jeff was very helpful and got my account setup in 10 minutes. the only issues was I never got my drivers license back. this was on a Saturday so they were not open on Sunday. I didn't receive a call or anything from them saying my id was left at the bank, even though I just gave them ll of my information and it was in front of them. I then called the bank on Monday to see if they could find my id and the lady who picked up the phone gave me some nasty attitude when I asked her to look. they said it wasn't there, so I proceeded to panic trying to find it. I went into the bank on Monday and asked a different lady to help and it was found within 2 minutes. and to top it off They gave me the wrong checking account number. I had a payment sent to the wrong account number and when I went to withdraw money they said my account number doesn't exist and I have no money in my account. totally ammeter work from lazy employees at first mid. if I didn't need my money by the end of the week I would totally go to another bank and start a different account.

If I could zero star, I would. Sheila is absolute rude and terrible helper. Everything i would call to ask for she would be useless at and each she would say “ I don’t how to do that” and she would show attitude. I‘M okay with employee not knowing everything, Sheila should ask for help someone else and should have been negative about it.

The best team members ever. Supper helpful and nice. I recommend First Mid Bank and Trust for anyone.

Deposited a small check via drop box didn't even appear as pending in my account for almost a week. Always takes at least 15 minutes at the drive through. Long lines inside and inconvenient hours. Go to other branches.

Some of these reviews have got to be from when it was old national. I would recommend ( first bank of Carbondale ) or ( SIU credit union ) over this bank any day.

There was only one other car in the drive up, teller told me to wait after 4 minutes I told her I just need a withdrawl slip for checking and she sent me a deposit slip. Then I had to get a withdrawal slip and sign it because of her mistake and she acted as though I was some kind of idiot. If you are in a customer service position try your best to ACTUALLY provide GOOD customer service. Customers are the folks who pay your salaries.

Excellent service, very nice staffs, polite and great service. I really liked this Bank. Very impressive one. God bless these peoples.
