I've had 2 auto loans through first community. I changed insurance companies on the car I currently have financed through them and they requested a new insurance declaration, which I submitted. I then find out they placed insurance on my car and raised my payment over $100 a month. I've since submitted my current insurance 3 times over the course of 3 months and it has still not been resolved. I will not be using them for financing again and would not recommend them to anyone

Called in with a few new business start-up questions and spoke to Chris Nicholas. He was a wealth of knowledge and was very patient while delivering an amazing education that could only be based upon years of experience and wisdom. I will never use another store for my hard earned money ever again!

By far the most rudest branch there is. Almost all the workers there are nasty and argumentative. Nobody is willing to even hear what your trying to say. Their so called customer service reps don’t even listen to comprehend, they only listen to reply. I have several recorded conversations of them cutting me off and over talking me. I will never ever do business with them again in life. They really do give First Community a bad name.

Got last minute word new car was in on Friday afternoon. FCCU got all info needed from dealer. I closed loan with them at 4:00. Drove car out with trade done Sat noon. FCCU couldn’t have been better.

I'm shocked by these negative reviews. I've been with First Community since my parents opened a savings account for me as a child (I'm 36 now) , and they'd been with FCCU many years before that. Excellent rates for multiple car loans over the years. Always pleasant to deal with every time I've ever had to talk to someone on the phone or in person at a physical branch. They've forgiven overdraft fees, they've paid back money someone spent on a stolen debit card, and really I have no complaints at all. I've heard a lot more horror stories from other banks .

Editing review from 2 years ago - While I've had an issue recently with their customer service, I went into the branch and they were able to resolve. They were understanding and figured out quickly what needs to be done. After 30-ish years of banking here, I can't throw them under to bus from one issue. That said, I'm a little leery about addressing issues over the phone. Review from 2 years ago (5 star): Long time customer and I have no complaints. We've done home loans, car loans, bank accounts etc. Since they are non-profit, they are easy on the fees. 26 years and counting - I honestly wouldn't change.

I’m satisfied with the bank itself. However, the mortgage department sucks. ZERO communication from the person that was supposed to be handling my refi. I Called her multiple times and she never answered. When I left a voicemail, I never got a call back. The only thing she ever initiated was the very first email stating what she needed from me. Very frustrating. I will never apply for any other loan here based on this experience

Mortgage lending department was horrible to deal with. Underwriter was rude, unprofessional, and lacked basic knowledge of how to do her job. 1. FCCC came back with a counter offer to our original loan request (which is completely okay). When the underwriter called me to go over the new conditions, she was rude and abrasive. She stated they could offer a 4.2% rate. I asked for clarification if that meant that rate was locked in based on our application or it was a bracket, such as, 4.2-8% contingent on further underwriter. She did not understand my question and I attempted to rephrase in a few different ways. Every time I asked she got more and more rude and angry. I eventually gave up asking. 2. There was a very unique situation with the HOA of the home we were purchasing. FCCC required some very specific documents and forms be completed (which is completely okay). When working back and forth with FCCC and the HOA, the underwriter was rude every time we needed anything. She was unable to explain or elaborate on virtually any items FCCC and very unhelpful during the process. (Interest rates above may not be exact)

If I could go lower I would. Should have known that after being with them my whole life that once they started showing up in Walmart’s things would turn into the awful experience it has turned into. No communication, no one to speak to on the phone, and when you do they literally laugh at you and say they don’t care. Hidden fees that they tag on with no warning, raising the monthly minimum payment with no warning, or hope that you don’t lose your job or get sick and can’t work cause they will just keep adding to your bill you can’t pay. This used to be a great company now it’s just another don’t care about you or your family business. Profits over people. Sad

Absolutely horrible customer service. Unable to make last payments over the phone or on the app or on there websites when was out of town. They won’t resolve there problems and then puts blame on the customer.
