Farmers & Merchants State Bank W Main St, Marshall

I keep this small town bank ,in addition to several Online bank accounts , Only for the customer service help of having real people etc. However, every time you call about anything, “which you really shouldn’t ever need to do if there wasn’t issues”they act like they are slammed busy and will put you on hold for atleast a few minutes. The “Fraud Protecton” locks my card for “fraud” when I try to make simple petty small purchases, or pay the same bills that I’ve been paying for months. They charge you a 10$ fee to get a replacement plastic debit card even if you have had it for years and the “mag strip” wears out on its own from use. AND the interest rates are bad comparatively. Not a fan

Despite the other comments below, I have personally not had a single issue with their customer service, in fact, it's been one of the best in my banking experiences. And I've been through numerous banks. I've also had good experiences in their loan department. Friendly and patient staff on every occasion I've needed their assistance

What joke of a banking establishment. They force new cards on us that we cant use. Will suspend your card without notifying the customer. Everyone should switch to Discover Checking which offers cash back. So happy to be done with this joke of a bank.

Not a great experience, unfortunately. Made our needs known clearly at the start of the loan process and unfortunately were led down the wrong path. Everything turned out fine in the end for us. Would not recommend. UWCU, Oregon, Summitt, or SBCP.

I have been banking with Farmers and merchants for about 13years. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Great experience every time I stop in. Love the small town feel. Highly recommend doing your banking at this establishment.

I have banked here for almost 20 years. I can't imagine going anywhere else. Staff truly strive to do their best to find ways to help whenever possible. It's community banking at its best.

Worst costumer service ever!!! I bank at Avestar and this has never happened to me before. I have never been so frustrated they don’t know anything, and they speak to you as if they are better then you. If they are going to be with that attitude then why work at all.

Poor customer service, didn’t explain mortgage process and omitted key details for decision making purposes. Misleading business practices. Shop elsewhere for your loan.
