Got a mailer from them regarding equity line and refinance options. Gave it a call just to see if there would be anything worth my while to do with my mortgage. Spoke with Sam who was very friendly and professional. Was able to give very fast figures and results on options. Decided not to take any offers but if I was looking to pull the trigger I would give them a call back based on my interaction. I can appreciate good customer service

We refinanced our home through Equihome Mortgage in February. We got the rate we wanted but found that they kept finding reasons to add more fees to our closing costs. We were told it was because the date for our rate lock kept passing and they felt we should be responsible for paying for extensions, but we always responded the same day for Equihome's requests for information and then they would not get back to us until the next week. No wonder to lock date kept passing. Our finalized closing documents even had to include Lender credit "for increased Closing Cost above legal limit." We're not sure if it's incompetence or deliberate driving up the price, but it was frustrating either way.

After filling out a form online to check into refinancing, I got about 50 calls in 2 seconds. Britteny Roxburgh from Equihome texted me and emailed me and I instantly felt like she was more concerned in helping me get through the process and not trying to just take my money. She has been helpful every step of the way, and has answered all of my questions and concerns with the utmost kindness. Kristin Young was awesome as well, and I would recommend anyone to use Equihome for their refinancing needs. It was a very painless and quick process, and she got me everything I needed out of my refinance! They are awesome.

He was genuine in all of his advice and was always responsive to my questions. He was more than helpful and got things closed in an amazingly short time. Best Mortgage Team Out There! I almost never post reviews, but had to after the service quality, transparency, and ease of working with Rocky and the Equihome team for the second time. I've heard countless horror stories over the years of friends' and family's experience with mortgage brokers and lenders. Our first experience with Equihome was so good, we were actually a little suspicious and felt like we got away with something! Everything was transparent and well communicated, the underwriting process went smoothly, not to mention we got a great deal. We recently decided to take advantage of the low-rate environment by refinancing our home loan and it was an absolute no-brainer when selecting a mortgage broker - Rocky and the team took care of everything and it was even better the second time around. Will definitely continue working with Rocky and Equihome on any mortgage needs going forward.

Unfortunately, I do not share the same sentiments expressed by most of the reviewers for Equihome Mortgage; although I wish I did. My experience with them was entirely negative. I tried to refinance my home with this company about a year ago. I did all my due diligence in trying to work with them- submitted all the required documentation for the refinance. But on the cusp of doing the appraisal, they stopped returning my calls and it was hard to reach Rocky May. The female representative I was eventually able to reach was rude and did not explain to me what happened with our processing, and I never heard back from the Rocky May besides the occasional holiday greeting via email (of which, please take me off your mailing list). It is quite unnerving that they have all of my protective personal info. Since I invested time in working with them, an explanation of what went wrong or even a slight apology would’ve sufficed, but I simply never heard back from them. Equihome, please do not fill your clients with empty promises of which you cannot always deliver. You are dealing with peoples lives- their time and energy. Future clients/customers, please don’t believe every review you read, do your research. This company does not have your best interest at heart, they are only after your money. Thankfully, I was eventually able to refinance with the reputable company that secured my mortgage in the first place, what a waste of time It was working with Equihome. Often times, there are incentives when customers post a positive review on google, don’t believe the hype with this company. You know the customer is upset when a review is written a year later at 4 in the morning, shameful.

I recently finished up refinancing my home through Equihome. I worked with Sam and Nikketta who were aptly attentive to all of my needs throughout the process. Even though I ran into some stress and hang ups with the IRS, they were able to help me through the issues and secure a solid rate before the rates keep skyrocketing! If you’re looking to refinance your home, I highly suggest getting in contact with Sam and Nikketta as they have provided smooth and excellent service.

Received a deceptive mailer from Equihome Mortgage using our actual lenders name informing us that "Your initial loan with [Lenders Name] has been identified as paying Mortgage Insurance premiums that are no longer needed. This exclusive Mortgage Insurance Cancellation Program may be eligible prior to the deadline date allowing you to save hundreds per month. Elimination of this unnecessary monthly premium MUST BE initiated by you in order to meet the next cut-off date of March 25, 2022." We do not have mortgage insurance with our lender. Equihome Morgage would not know if we have mortgage insurance with our lender. The mailer is a deceptive lead generation tactic for, I assume, refinancing services. Do better.

I’m very disappointed. We did our refinance about 6 months ago. I feel like we were pushed around, told inaccurate information, and there were gaps in communication constantly. However, the worst thing that came out of this… we were told to skip June’s mortgage payment as we were supposed to close. There was a gap in communication. I reached out in July, asked where we were in the process, and then was told to make June’s payment immediately. We did, and now we are dealing with the repercussions of a late credit remark. We’ve called and it’s like we are “black listed.” They don’t answer, are unwilling to help, and I feel like they wanted the money and didn’t care what happened along the way.

The process years ago was so easy and the communication was amazing, so when it came time to check out what kind of low rate we could get now, I reached out to Danny! His mail out "post card" was brief, succinct and offered just the right amount of information to interest me in a refinance.
