    I have been with the credit union for over 20 years , exclusively working with their branch at my work location. They far exceed my expectations everyday. I have financed several vehicles through them and even my house! Amazing customer service! Always willing to do whatever they can for any situation. I am 100% a very satisfied customer.

    When I initially started with Energy Cap several years ago I was excited about the prospect; however, it went down hill with the customer service. I had thought that banking with them would have more of a warm and friendly vibe (which it did in the beginning). I went in to close my accounts and met a lovely lady who convinced me to keep them open; and I did. Fast forward a few years and I’m regretting that I didn’t close my accounts back then. If I wanted cold and clinical, the “you’re just another number” vibe I wouldn’t have picked a credit union. I feel angry and just let down. So disappointing.

    I have worked with Energy Capital Credit Union for the last two years with two major purchases from a friends recommendation. The first was my dream car a Lamborghini Huracan and I can tell you this deal would not of happened without Mr. Stephon Smith. The next one was a Mercedes SUV 580 AMG. And once again I called on Stephon for his assistance with Energy Capital. He see's thing through to completion and is very informative and gives you all your options to help you make an informed decision. I would recommend Stephon from Energy Capital to assist anyone for their banking needs. Love working with Stephon and Energy Capital!!!!!

    Jun Smith was a pleasure to work with at Energy. I was so nervous and she made everything so easy. I had worried about setting up a business account for weeks and when I got Jin, I asked why had I stressed so horribly. Her enthusiasm, assurance and follow up made it very easy to do business! I am very excited about my choice and hope she is indicative of the service at all times!

    I had a GREAT experience. I went in just to deposit a check and was able to leave with a loan. Elizabeth Martinez helped me to do this and was absolutely the nicest and easiest person to work with. This was one of the best and smoothest experiences with a loan ever! I would highly recommend ECCU and Elizabeth to anyone seeing a great credit union and great customer service!

    Been a very happy member for 19 years. I have nothing but great experiences with my credit union. Also, I would like to personally thank Corynn Rhodes for her help and support recently.     This credit union is mediocre at best: their website constantly has issues, their systems are slow to update and communication is less that seller. I plan to find a new credit union as soon as possible.

    I typically don't care for the keyboard warrior thing that is so strong in our society, but I hit a wall after exhausting all of our other options. We have used this financial institution to finance a vehicle in the past, and have since decided to switch to another bank. The loan that we had through Energy Capital has been paid in full. We have attempted multiple times to obtain a lien release and the title from Amy Heaner, (Loan Processor II) and after 44 days we have half of the paperwork in hand. Amy is extremely unresponsive to emails or phone calls from us or from our bank. When she does engage in a phone call, she has difficulty staying engaged and following along with the conversation. She seems confused. Amy had to be reminded three times to send the paperwork. We have been unable to get our paperwork in order through the title office, and now have late fees with the local title office here, which Energy Capital has agreed to cover the $25. This representative would rather pay out late fees than handle their work related responsibilities in a timely fashion. 10/10 would not recommend. Caveat Emptor.

    Let me start off by first saying that I used to love ECCU. I've been a member with them since 2012 and I have financed multiple vehicles with them and lines of credit. Over the last year or so I can honesty say that the level of customer service and flat out care for their members has diminished to less than nothing. Being a member of a small credit union you would think you would get treated better than being with a big bank like Chase or Wells Fargo. WRONG! Hold times to get through to a representative are well over 30 minutes each time if they even answer They are getting a new CEO in January 2022. Lets hope that some changes are implemented and things go back to the way they were before.so disappointed

    The absolute worst experience I have ever had dealing with a bank ever! I have financed 3 vehicles here but the last one was miss handled so bad it costed me 100 points on my credit score. Maurice McShepard was my loan consultant and never finished my paper work properly resulting my loan going to collections! They are too busy going on 2 week vacations and trying to do everything by email. All not wanting to help you in person anymore that results in halfway doing their job. All they can say it was our mistake but you can dispute it with the credit bureaus. I definitely should have went to my other bank once I seen Elizabeth not there anymore (lesson learned). I won’t be back after this loan is done, I promise that. Update: They did reach out to help work through the issues.

After speaking with Maurice and reviewing your exchanges with him, it appears he worked through New Year's Eve and Jan. 2, to make sure you had everything you needed. We understand mistakes happen. I can see where mistakes were made, but I can't see where Maurice made any. We work hard to avoid or remedy any missteps to provide a stellar member experience. And it's true, our staff does get to enjoy time off to recharge and be with their families, especially during the holidays. But not at the expense of our members. Maurice worked diligently the day before and the day after a holiday to take care of your concerns. We sympathize with your misfortune and wish you a speedy recovery on your credit score.

    Applied for a 5k debt consolidation loan to quickly pay remaining small misc accounts on credit report. Denied for that but the rep wanted to offer me an auto loan for less of a finance rate than what Chase offered. I have an exceptional record with Chase but was interested in moving my accounts over to a credit union. Oh! I get it, Energy Capital only cares about THEIR interests. Big debt is big money. My request for small money or to open an account is little gain. I denied their auto loan offer since the reasoning is I can't be trusted with a 5k loan but I can be trusted with a auto loan over 10k. Senseless.

    When you call customer service at many companies, you find some representatives to be less than enthusiastic to help you with your request. Energy Capital's customer service personnel were quite the opposite! What a breath of fresh air! My situation required me to call in two separate times to set up access to my online account. Both of the individuals I spoke to, Serena Henry and Adolfo Cabanas, were truly amazing. Each of them were professional, courteous and patient. They both possessed tremendous attitudes which made the experience quite enjoyable. Having been a service business owner in Houston for over 37 years, I know what it takes to hire and train people like Serena and Adolfo. They are the main reasons why Energy Capital Credit Union will grow and prosper in the future! Keep up the good work!

    This is my 3rd time that I have used Energy Capital to refinance a vehicle. It has absolutely been fantastic dealing with them. The process has been both quick and easy. The rates are very competitive to other credit unions also. I would definitely recommend looking into there services for financing or refinancing a vehicle or for any other business that you may be looking for. I want to mention one Sr. Loan officer by name, only first name though; Corynn. She is very knowledgeable, professional and courteous.     Corynn went above and behind to ensure that our auto loan package included everything we wanted with the best possible interest rate. She was honest and straightforward with us the whole time, and it wasn’t a short amount of time either. That was in no way due to the wonderful ladies at Energy Capital Credit Union, the dealership was to blame on that. But, Corynn didn’t let that stop her from helping us get the best deal. We will never go through a dealership for financing another vehicle again. Capitol Credit Union has found themselves some lifelong customers.
