Elevations Credit Union Reviews

I was just in the Loveland branch this afternoon to open a new checking account. Jimi Berry was the most wonderful banker. I truly enjoyed my time with him. You could see he really does enjoy his job. He’s extremely personable and just an absolute doll to chat with. I think my cheeks hurt from smiling and laughing. I will continue to go back to him for other products as needed or just for a happy, friendly chat. What a fantastic employee and human!! You did good Elevations hiring him!!
Dorie - Thank you for your kind words and for being a member! It's great to hear that you had an amazing experience working with Jimi. Happy Holidays!

I'm giving this 1 star review because it's impossible for me to find my own checking account number online. I've written saying this is frustrating. They haven't fixed it.

I have been a member for over 40 years. The phone hold time has been increasing for the last 3 years. It's getting to the point where I have to drive to the branch office to get any help at all. Very frustrating 😕

This is the bank we visit the most, not just because it’s close to our house, but because everyone is always so friendly and genuine! I’ve had some unfavorable visits to other locations and definitely go out of my way if I need to go here. Thank you!
Thank you Amber for being a loyal member to our Loveland location! We greatly appreciate your kind words and membership!

Don’t fall for the cozy community involvement, customer “service,” and disaster relief commercials advertised by this credit union. They’re a bank, pure and simple, and you know what that means. “We believe in empowered banking.” Here’s how that worked for me: Moving to Loveland a couple of years ago, I opened an account at Elevations and then sold my former residence. That sale represented my life savings, 35 years of work at the same job. I planned to deposit the money in Elevations and then pay off the mortgage on the Loveland house I had just purchased. However, the receipt I had been given did not include my name. Indeed, it showed that my money had been deposited, not to my account, but to the account of someone else. In other words, Elevations Credit Union had given my life savings to another depositor. I probably should have taken my cue from that episode; however, it took the next one to impel me to terminate my relationship: I received a check from a foreign transaction, something which I had never encountered before. Taking the check to the bank, I endorsed it, included my account number correctly, and requested cash. The teller gave me the correct amount in cash and the transaction was completed, I thought. I received several messages telling me to return to the bank and pay the fees for this foreign transaction. The next day I discovered that my bank account had been reduced by the amount of the check. But the questionable aspect of this reduction is that it was not indicated on the statement as a withdrawal. The amount was simply missing with no notification whatsoever. I objected to this action on the part of the bank and so informed them. It seemed fraudulent to me that a bank can simply reduce a depositor’s account by whatever amount they decree without a disclosure or explanation. If they can empower themselves in this way, they may be able to empower themselves in even more significant ways and with even more significant amounts. Two major incidents with this bank have put me on alert and I now deposit my money with a bank that is openly just that; i.e., a profit-mongering institution that exists to take as much of my money as it can and give back as little as possible without, so far, fraudulent activity. At least we understand each other.

I did my mortgage through elevations. I would give the original process 2.5 stars. I was given a run-of-the-mill option, which didn't fit my needs. I did a lot of research and presented a lot of different ideas of how to get the best mortgage that fit my needs. the effort simply wasn't there on Elevations end but they were friendly for the most part so that would be why they'd originally get a average review. Since then, I had a claim on my roof. the process of getting the check endorsed has been a complete nightmare. it should be a standard process but many details were messed up and I've been stuck fronting the bill, a total cost in excess of 5-figures. After being in communication with the loss draft department a half dozen times, I reached out to my local branch for assistance and not only did they not help, the didn't even respond to my request. At this point my only thought is to refinance with another lender and take my business elsewhere as I clearly am not a priority for this credit union.

On advice from a number of people I came to the Loveland location to discuss opening an account. First greeted by I think Julian, I felt welcomed. I was told all account reps were busy with customers and was asked to wait. Every office I could see was empty and I was left to sit in the tiny waiting area over 20 minutes. Even a very nice customer reminded a teller that I had been waiting. Still nothing. Finally I left. Not the greatest first impression. Not sure I’ll try again.

I have been with Elevations since it was Longs Peak Credit Union , starting in 1999 I think? Back when they had more locations in Loveland and larger buildings. There have been some changes that I don't think are positive but I love this credit union. Friendly staff , great location for me, quick in and out, open Saturday and open until 530 weekdays, it's all good with me.
Hi Debra, We appreciate your membership and your feedback. We'd like to hear more about the changes you don't feel are positive. If you would be willing to talk with us please send us an email with your best contact info to [email protected]. Thank you!
