Tommy Thomas is a terrible person. Once your loan is sold off to another bank he will tell you that you can still contact him about the loan, but you can't because he will ignore any email you send him. How do I know he ignores them? He ended up including me on an email chain for an entirely different customer that shared a first name with me and then when I called him out on it and accused him of abandoning me and ignoring my emails for help from a week ago he proceeded to ignore me again once he realized he had messed up. All Eclipse does is sell your loan to someone else so why even get approved through them if this is how they treat you when your loan is sold off?

Good bank. I have been with them since they opened. All good. I would recommend banking with them. Located right in St. Matthews. Locally owned is a good thing.

The mobile app doesn't work just about every other week. Despite the app error message telling you to call in, no one at the bank itself can actually troubleshoot or assist you in anyway. But that is just one minor complaint - though not being able to access my account info is disruptive to my own life, and the business I'm trying to keep. When Leanne opened my account, she made multiple errors, which resulted in the inability for other tellers to find my account by my name. When she ordered my checks, she copied my address incorrectly, and I never got my checks because they were returned to the bank, undeliverable (imagine that - an address has to be valid in order to use the postal service). Currently, I am unable to log into the mobile app. Of course, I called the bank Friday evening and was told they can see my account just fine, and that yet again there's nothing they can do about it. Someone will look into Monday. This time, when I log in using a browser instead of the app, it logs me in and says, "No Accounts Found". So I have to go the entire weekend without access to my only bank account. This is ALARMING in a way that should be resolved immediately. I opened a new account with PNC since I could not deposit a check into my "disappearing act" account with eclipse. PNC did not ask me any of the obnoxious questions Leanne did when I opened my account with eclipse a little over a year ago. That was a relief. Also, my account with PNC is 3 in 1: spending, reserve & growth. There's a budget system built into the app, to allow me to save long-term, short-term, and plan around my bills. I can't even log into my account with eclipse to check my balance. This bank has been nothing but frustrating. Friendly customer service, free cookies in the one branch are kind of expected. If the entire banking experience is flawed, none of those details matter. Every bank has friendly customer service, so eclipse is not unique. And the only reason they refund your ATM fees is because THEY HAVE NONE. Other bankers in Lousiville assumed my account with eclipse was out of state. That's how small this bank is! I don't care if my bank is 'still local'. Apparently that comes at a very high price!
Eclipse Bank takes pride in being a locally owned Louisville bank. We pride ourselves on customer service but, like all banks, we depend upon vendors for our banking applications. It is unfortunate that your experience was not the best, Ms. Murray, please accept our sincerest apologies for your inconvenience. We monitored the downtime on our systems and the mobile banking app was working at the time of the incident which is why it was difficult for us to ascertain the issue. It is uncommon that this calamity of errors occur at account opening and we have reviewed the account opening process to ensure the highest quality experience. Our ATM is available at our office 24/7, and as a convenience we will always refund ATM fees charged by other financial institutions when you use your ATM card anywhere.
