    Disc Bank is the greatest, no bank can compete. I love how y’all pay attention to detail. If any issue call up and it’s resolved. The management team is superb and customer service rep remarkable. Do not pay attention to any bad reviews. Been with disc 5yrs or even longer.     I have been calling for 3 days waiting for 3+ hours to speak with a representative. They closed my account with no explanation soon as they received my first deposit. Absolutely horrible customer service. Still has not received help or my money back. Called at 1 am they said I have to call a 8 when it opens even though they advertise 24 hour service. I called at 8 like they say and they had me on hold for 4 hours again. Never been with a bank I hate this much don't waste your time banking with them.

    I put my Discover Credit in debt relief program, along with three other accounts. Everyone settled except Discover. They sued me instead. This organization is a Bunch of asshokes par excellence. By The way. The other companies settled without problem.

    I created a new account and deposited my tax refund check. Several days later, I received a notification that my account had been locked. I called and was told to send pictures of my ID, which I did. They then told me that because it was a learner's permit, they could not accept it, despite the fact that it's realID—with a photograph—and every other place that's asked me for an ID has accepted it just fine. I asked to close my account and have them give me my money back instead, and they told me they couldn't give me my money back without identity verification, despite the fact that they were refusing to accept my legal proof of identity. Eventually they accepted my birth certificate and social security card, but still required me to wait for the ten-business-day hold on my deposit to clear before letting me close my account. Customer service was very polite, and I appreciated their assistance, but I would not bank with Discover again.

    Absolutely pathetic fraud services! My wife lost her wallet and we then received several unauthorized charges. Upon calling discover, they are quick to inform us, “you will not be charged for fraudulent charges”. I was charged and after their “investigation” where they called the merchants. I was stuck with several hundred dollars in charges due to the merchants saying “yes” the card was charged. Great! Now I’m going through it again. Googleasmax2017 charged me 82 times for amounts ranging from 8.49 to 4.49. Call discover, guess what! They will conduct an investigation again. Told me on the phone that they are going to contact the merchants. Great, looks like I’m getting stuck with the bill again... Then the a-hole on the phone had the nerve to ask if I had taken care of the minimum balance payment because it was due today... really? Did you take a second to look at the automatic payments schedule for the last 3 years? They care more about theirs and the merchants money than yours! Don’t use Discover!

    It's a great Bank. I am not sure why it has so many bad reviews. I have had a Discover Card since my late teens, and I opened a Discover Checking Account a few years ago. I really like their service. Except American Express, every other card I've had has been hacked some way or another. Not Discover. I can always rely on them. Their checking account was great before, but now starting December 2017, they're changing the terms, and now there's no benefit to me, which is why I am knocking a star off this review for them. But otherwise, I highly recommend them. It's the best customer service and experience in the market!

    Discover it’s been a great Bank to me. Good APR interest in the savings account (1.75) vs the 0.01 from chase 😬they just graduated me from their secured card after 9 months, the notice came along with my secure deposit check. Very happy so far! I’m impressed that only complaints are here and not so much of compliments... they are great.

    I really wish discover bank would bring some branches to the city of Pittsburgh and some other states. best bank out there. You guys should buy out citizens bank and take over the world. Chase came to Pittsburgh pa last year during the pandemic along with Bank of America. Why not discover bank 2022. Mike.

    Very bad experience with discover. Yesterday I made a wire transfer request and discover told me they would call me in 24 hours, if they need additional information from my side. So I was standing by all day long. Today I called them to check the transfer status, discovery told me they need my confirmation to process the transfer , but no body contact me while I was waitting for their call!! And the wire transfer is just paused there!!! The worset part is today I discussed with the representative if they can do something to speed up since we already waste a whole day, she just left me on the line for almost one hour without any response!!! Seems like discover do not take their customer seriously, the way they treat customer is rude and irresponsible!!

    Terrible company to do business with. My family fail on hard times and instead of the company working with me the charge off my account. Capital one, chase and another credit company went above worked with me. This company is the worst to do business with run away and don’t even attempt to do business with them. Will destroy your reputation as if they haven’t fail on hard times.

    My vehicle radiator gave out on me,and I had to get a rental car.they pushed my payment &had it available. To process &go through for me like a night in shining armor.They increased my credit&increased my Balance to aid me with my financial situation…I totally recommend discover they’re #1 at the top of my list for credit card services! “THANK YOU GUYS “🙌🏽🙏🏽

    We purchased a vacation through Expedia in January 2020 to Panama in April of 2020 flying on Copa Airline. The airline canceled the flight (and all operations) but would only offer credit vouchers. DOT statement clearly says if the airline cancels the flight they have to refund the money. I filed a dispute with Discover, provided all of the documentation and Discover sided with Expedia, they company that collected the money for the airline. How is Discover protecting their members? Answer: they do not care about their card holders and we have been a card holder in great standing for over 30 years. STAY AWAY, American Express would have sided with their card member as I had a similar experience years ago with Air Mexico and they went out of business after we purchased by prior to our flights.

    I wonder how some of these people think and online only bank protects itself when it doesn't get to check ID see you in person view other forms IDs the answer is it make sure the money is there and available before it gives you access to it is the best way it has to protect itself. I still use my discover checking and savings account as a secondary checking and savings so that way I still have a bank I can go into and talk to somebody and other stuff if needed but key there is being in person. I still don't trust it enough to move my direct deposit over because of issues like needing last minute funds or a weird situation change that would require me access to my money right away versus having to wait for it. Because I have anticipated these things my experience with discover checking and savings account has been fantastic and I've been paid more interests over 3 months than I have from all of my other banks and credit unions combined over the lifetime of those accounts. I love discover bank but come on people if you're depositing all of your money into a bank that has no physical locations and the only point of access to your money is an ATM you can't do things at the last minute and expect fantastic result every single time. And now discover uses zelles so I can quickly get my money back from discover in to my other bank account even quicker. I don't understand the people that deposit or withdraw all of their money at the same time and expected to be available the next day and when it takes several business days and then they get upset because they have no money, well you are the one who decided not to leave yourself any funds and blamed the bank for not transferring fast enough and then probably cancel the transaction thinking somehow that will make it faster when in reality it will finish the first transaction if in the middle of it then start another. or the people that blame discover for there being a cut off on wire times that's not discovers cut off on wire times that's a federal cut off on wire transfers past that point will process next business day nothing discover can do about that. It appears a lot of the low rated reviews came from people not practicing the smartest banking habits and because people don't like to be wrong they blame the bank. Card not widely accepted in Asia? Yeah maybe you should have researched it before opening and moving your money because that sort of thing is solved by a simple Google search. Outside of electronic transfers or any deposit into the account besides a direct deposit taking too long is the only complaint. If this transaction ever gets down to same or next business day then I will have nothing to complain about. And really a mobile check deposit if made before their business day ends takes 2 business days to get the full deposit which isn't that bad so if I deposit on Monday during business hours I will have full deposit Wednesday so the only issue there is Saturday not counting as a business day when deposit is initiated to close to the weekend. But again because of Discover being mostly online I anticipated not always having easy access to the money every time I need it RIGHT NOW and with that anticipation I have had only experiences that exceeded my expectations. Be smarter most of you. Don't start traveling without checking if the only access to your money is working and gee maybe get some cash for travel? More than $20
