They tell you if you do not use the gap insurance you get it refunded. Bull. They also have a service contract in their contract for 745 or more but do not provide any service to your vehicle for that. They do not work with even during covid. They refuse for you turn it in then charge you for not turning the car in. Take you to court garnish your wages. Somehow We owed more than 9000 on a vehicle that was 8000 and we put 1000 down. Paid for 3 years. The car had a bad transmission 7000 to repair. Catolitic converter broke 30 days in. They said they would replace but just welded it back on so it broke again. Then sold the vehicle for 3000 with a bad transmission and the said we still owed 6,000 - 3,000 so ended up over 3000. We were paying over 200 every two weeks for 3 years on an 8000 vechile that we put 1000 down on? Like where do you come up with your figures? Where is the gap ins refund we did not use and what about the hidden 745 dollar service contract when you refused to fix anything or service it or tell us we were paying for a service contract we had no knowledge of. They and the car dealers who use them are not helpful and sold a car to a person knowing the transmission needed 7000 dollar repair. Do not use them and let anyone you know how they are. Donna B.

Shady business with rude reps!! I explained to them my transmission problem, they suggested I find a shop to get the work done fax over the information and they could work with me. Possibly freezing my payments, or they could offer me a auto loan that would cover a certain percentage. So I get the vehicle towed fax all the info over to them talked to a representative & higher up and BOTH said they couldn't do anything for me and by the way "When can we expect a payment" so now I'm stuck with the entire transmission repair and a finance company that doesn't care. THEY'RE LIARS!!!!

They know I had a car dealer mark the car up 5000 over asking price. They didn't get that taken care of i have been behind on payments but always get them caught up. I called today to tell them that they don't need to call me every 3hrs for 1payment I will pay it. I was diagnosed with covid and am at home for 10days+ the lady Deborah goes well they are not going to work with you. I ask to speak with someone higher up and get shut down.

This company finances cars from POS car lots, put a down payment on a car back in May and a month later the engine blows. Took almost 4 months til we were with a vehicle again then not even 2 months later the transmission goes and they tell us they will not be covering it. 2 MAJOR parts in a car broken and expected to pay out of pocket for the trans. Always up to date on payments, there has been 1 or 2 payments where we knew we would be late and we let them know and they STILL call harassing about when it’s going to be paid even when we’ve told them what was going on. Even now our payments are up to date and just got a letter for intent of repossession, mind you the car is sitting in the shop right now not even drivable. Putting way more money into this car than what it’s worth, whatever you do stay away from the name American Finance LLC.

Awesome company! When times are rough and you need a vheicle i never had a issue with them just paid off my auto loan through them. I recommend using there online site to make your payments so you can see your balance owed...

Totaled my car & the best part about the whole situation is that I never have to deal with this God awful company or their incompetent staff ever again in my life. These people are sharks. They completely lack empathy. They do not care about anything other than getting a payment out of you regardless of your situation. Very inflexible & not willing to work with you even if you've been on time with your payments. If you're buying a car & someone mentions American Finance, run.

I bought a suv from addington in Milford De I would never buy anything from them ever again worst place in DE to buy a car from sindy sold me the car they sell nothing but Lemmon cars DO NOT GO THEIR! American finance is their financial company I made payments on time for 3 1/2 yrs had problems with the car sense day 1 American finance would not work with me AT ALL!! only would stop my payments for 2 weeks when I was paying 2 time a month already then the car broke down I only owed 2k left offered 1k to buy out sense the car wasn’t working they refused said they wanted all their money! FOR ANYONE THAT READS THIS PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY WITH ADDINGTON OR AMERICAN FINANCE

My personal experience with AF Has been amazing. I desperately needed a good working van for my business and Mike from AF made sure he got me in the right one. He was very patient as far as getting the paperwork i needed situated, always followed up with me, and was always just one call away for any questions! Not only was the customer service great from all the staff members but the vehicle itself is perfect for all my business needs. 60 days in and its still perfect for all my business needs and not one issue! Will be coming back to them for all of my vehicle needs!

I worked with Tony Wesson out of the Colorado office. He was very responsible and professional. We refinanced our mortgage. The process took several months due to high demand. Tony and his staff kept us updated frequently. I recommend American Finance if you are planning to refinance your mortgage.

This company sucks. It's not about making payments on time or anything like that... I bought my wife the car she dreamed of a little over a year ago. We loved it. 2 weeks later we needed service,and not any service, major service, it needed a new transfer case. We notified the finance company and they recommended we call lemon law. Well we were duped by the dealer and ultimately our so called "warranty" didn't even cover our car because of the year, which we were unaware of, but the dealer took care of it anyway. Then a few weeks later we had an even bigger service issue, the drive shaft. When we notified the finance company, they wanted proof that we haven't been able to even drive the car (mind you, we still made payments.) At this point we had the car for a few months and never missed a payment even though we couldn't drive it. A few months later, the alternator went, then the battery (which apparently was never the right battery since we had bought the car) still making payments on time for a car that was in the shop way more than we could actually drove it. Then just recently, somebody broke into the car and stole my wife's purse. Everything was in there, cards, money, and the car key. American Finance said they didn't have the other key and to ask the dealer. The dealer had told us prior that the finance company had it. So my wife paid them $200 for a key they had ordered and programmed and had to drive over an hour to pick it up. A week later, the engine goes. We have kept open communication with American Finance on everything. They sounded on top of everything and concerned and were willing to work with us. Then what do they do? They take the car and payments are not even a full month late. Not to mention, we couldn't drive the car anyway. So -1 for our credit and f__k American Finance
