The service started off making me a little worried. The first rental property we had rented had gotten sold and we needed a new rental. They didn’t return my four calls or emails over several days, but once the conversation got started, they were very receptive and helpful. Getting Information through their Hospitality App and getting our keys to our rental house (Morning Joy) was easy and efficient. The house could be a lovely place and the location was stunning and perfect for what we wanted. The beach was amazing. The house was very clean and had almost everything we needed. (Only had four wash clothes for 5 people… that was a bit of an issue). The house needs some TLC pretty bad. It looks a bit neglected (water damage on one wall above kitchen counter; half of the front deck stairs are missing and the front stairs have been blocked off, etc.) and the living room furniture is in rough shape. We loved the house though and would stay in it again, but someone really needs to give it some attention. It was very very clean though, so we appreciated that. We had to call DI Real Estate once to ask about the garbage can and they answered right away and were helpful. I am only taking a star away because of the rough start to our communication and the fact that the house needs some repairs.

Very easy to deal with for vacation rentals. They helped make our trip stress free and fun. I will definitely use them for any future trips to Dauphin Island.

We rented a just built rental home right on the beach. We loved it and the island. DIRE was friendly and helped us with any questions or needs we had. I liked that the clean up list was not excessive the way most AirBnB hosts are. We did learn that roaches are just part of life on the island, no matter how new the house you are just gonna see some here and there. Keep your food closed in containers and refrigerated and it helps! Loved watching the dolphins swim by every morning, gorgeous sunsets and rises, and playing on the beach. Perfect vacation!!

The staff was great. Making the reservation was easy and the house we rented had an issue and they desolved the problem within an hour. This is our second rental with Dayphin Island Real Estate and we will use them for future rentals!

My family & I had issues with another company so we tried this one for a rental this past Christmas & we'll definitely book here again. We had a LOT of questions (!) so we ended up speaking & texting with several people during our stay. Everyone was very quick to respond, friendly & helpful, no exceptions. Highly recommended. Wish I could stay down there every weekend!

This was our first experience with a vrbo unit. The staff at Dauphin Island rentals were great and Grand Isle unit 621 was fantastic! Neat and clean, a wonderful view of the beach and easy access to the ocean. If you are looking for a place to vacation on the gulf, this is it hands down!

We had an awful experience, do not use them to book your condo/home, etc. We stayed at Purple Pelican on Dauphin Island. The home wasn’t as clean as it should be. Many lamps and outside lights were out. All the towels were left in the dryer when we got there for us to fold and put away. The cookware was old and rusted. The washing machine was front-loading and looked like it had never been cleaned. It was filled with mold and smelled so bad. We tried to clean it as best we could. It was just as if it the home was surfaced cleaned and there was no check list performed by the cleaning crew each time they cleaned. There were at least 10 roaches in the house every night that we killed. It was SO disgusting. We contacted them early on in our stay and they sent an exterminator out. He came 2 days later and said he was coming anyway for the monthly spray. Monthly? We weren’t made aware someone may show up for a monthly spray to begin with. Spraying only made it worse, then they begin to show up in the day time. The back porch gate was messed up and you had to pick it up each time to open it. We contacted the company regarding all our concerns with the property and were told if we would have contacted them earlier in our stay things could have fixed. The blame was placed on the customer when the cleaning and updates should have been taken care of before we even arrived. We discussed at least a partial refund would be appropriate as we felt we paid WAY too much to stay in the poor environment. All we got was $250 back. Never again. We will be sure to let anyone who asks about going there to not use them. We had a friend that recently came back from Dauphin Island and used the same company for the first time. They had already booked their trip when we warned them. They too were disappointed in the cleanliness of the home (Jazz). They had porch rails missing off the back so had to block them off with chairs so their children couldn’t fall through.

Awesome! Great customer service and correspondence. We recently used this company to book a trip to Dauphin island and we couldn’t have been more pleased! We chose “5:00 somewhere” and it was perfect for our family. It’s literally right on the beach. We love it so much, we are already planning to book another trip next year! Hopefully we will get to stay in this place again (fingers crossed!)

We rented a vacation property through this agency. During our stay, storms caused severe flooding and a power outage at our unit. During the entire stay the roadway in front of the unit was flooded. Prior to our arrival this agency gave us no warning about the flooded road. As more storms approached, we feared the road would become impassible. We left early to avoid getting stuck. When I spoke with this agency about the problem, they had no concern and simply said there was nothing they could do about it. Use caution booking your vacation with these folks.

First let me say that the Holiday Isle condominium itself was nice, the people were kind, the lobby was clean and well kept...however we rented room #107 the week of July 12-19 and upon arrival the first thing we noticed was how filthy the door was.. upon entering things seemed pretty good, nice view etc. As we began unpacking we did notice the floors apparently hadn’t been swept but that was fine. However the living room /dining room definitely needed a fresh coat of paint. There are scuff marks everywhere especially in the dining room. Also we noticed that the couch was completely worn out and there were throw pillows under the cushions to hold them up! We had more family joining us that would be using the pull out sofa to sleep on so decided we better check it out and I am so thankful we did so that we could go purchase air mattresses before they arrived! We barely got the sofa to unfold and when we did the mattress was torn and completely worn out there was no way anyone could sleep on it. The bedding was still on the worn out mattress and also torn and filthy. After seeing that the Floors were swept and it didn’t appear to have been cleaned very thoroughly we did wipe things down and tried to make the best of it. I personally decided to check the air unit filter and that was the most horrific part of the place... it definitely hadn’t been changed in many months... I Have no clue who owns this particular condo #107 but if you are paying someone to clean it for you, you are getting ripped off and I can’t believe no one has complained before now. I have pictures of everything and like I said, the holiday Isle was nice itself, clean and the staff was nice. But because of the rental up keep, I would never rent this particular condo again and wouldn’t advise anyone to. Our first experience to the gulf was definitely not a good one as far as our housing!
