Plainfield Ave NE, Grand Rapids, MI Shantel Johnson, is wonderful. She set me up with a credit card, and over a month later she remembered me. Then Shantel set me up with a checking account. Made me feel like family.

I had attempted to open an account checking & savings. After several attempts on three computers, I never received a verification code. I had even called this CU twice, only to wait on hold and finally be informed that they do not know why this was occurring and were not sure what to say! Definitely not worth the frustration. JOR

Customer service today in the Plainfield Ave Branch of Grand Rapids was A1. Katy have us several great options on loans and helped us look into each one before settling on the one that was right for us. Chris the branch manager took at the end and finished off the excellent service . Very happy today with Consumers Credit Union and their Staff at this location !!!

We've been with Consumers CU since our local branch opened 3 years ago. It's been an extremely positive experience. The branch staff are great to work with, the central office has handled issues promptly, the drive-thru has live tellers, and you can get any amount from the ATM including $1 bills. I highly recommend Consumers CU!

Consumers credit union was easy to work with as a first time homeowner. Pamala was great- she answered all of my questions, was caring about our process, and was easily accessible when I needed to contact her. The whole staff were very friendly and were excited about our home! Thank you!! I would definitely recommend them.

Pros: friendly staff of managers. Cons: no live tellers and they ran a credit report to open a savings account. I never even applied for credit through them.

I came into the bank to get some account services taken care of, and was really pleased with how kind, helpful, and informative the staff was.

My husband and I went through Consumers CU for our mortgage, and after months of dealing with another institution prior to this, Consumers was a breath of fresh air. Not only were they able to get us approved quickly, they got us into better loan terms than we were offered previously. Pamela Kemp was our contact and she was amazing! We are first time home buyers and she was so patient and helpful every step of the way. Not only that, she was always quick to respond to us. She went above and beyond in more ways than I can lists, but for example, even after we closed she set us up with an interest bearing checking account and personally took care of setting up automatic payments for our auto loan, which is also through Consumers.
